Oh, you mean in game? Yeah, that was a bunch of aliens called the Battalion that use Khelds as a power source. Twilight's Son is the last Kheld for a reason. The two advanced forces of Shivans are a prelude to the actual invasion force that's headed our way. Lots of this is in Oroborous and DA incarnate missions, among others. It's still a little piecemeal and stitched together, but here's the PW articles on them.

I am jumpin' to the bottom, so if I reiterate, sorry.
I voted regular subscription. I *have been* doing that. Even the two months I took off here and there... the subscription NEVER lapsed. Because I believed in the game, and knew I'd be back.. I just had issues.
$500 or $1000 is quite a lot of coin for someone to dump into even this at once. The reason I could do the monthly is just that: It's not $150 I have to deal with once a year. Easier on the wallet to dole it out in chunks.
And it's not $1000 I have to dump into once... then what? If everyone shot their money in at once... sure, that's great. Then the game is not financed from that point on.
F2P with premium, vip and microtrans was a pretty good deal, I thought. I got my stipend of points, I could buy what I wanted, and not buy what I didn't, and I got all the VIP stuff that I was used to in updates, SSAs, etc.
I would continue to support that, without question, and might support it more monthly, but... yeah. I don't think it's about lifetime subscriptions, as I don't think it a good business model in the first place.

I have made my first demo with this stuff. It's really nifty!
But... I have a small learning curve re: placement of Cameraman (my level 4 hover enabled Dark Melee/Ninjitsu stalker I made for this on Exalted), how many lines for my 60+ characters to fit, how far away to place Cameraman... all kinds of things that'll be fun to deal with.
Had a little stumblage on the first try, but I did one all the way through, and it works perfectly. I just wanted to say Thanks, Leandro, for makin' this.

So my brother used to play, before he got kids and worked night shift as a police officer... at the same time.
Kinda took away his ability to play ArcticFrost, his Ice/Flame blaster... or is that flame/Ice. Whatever.
So my brother is a *real life, honest to goodness hero.* Damn, that's makin' my chest burst with pride on that. He is, to hear it, highly regarded as a police officer, even by the majority of people who he as to arrest or such, because he treats them well. He's gonna make Sergeant one day, but he's still a beat cop, and freakin' loves it. And is NOT a jerk cop, like some you might hear about.
Anyway, not the point of the post, but I wanted to say that since I was here.
So yesterday was his 5 year old son's birthday. And kiddo got lots of stuff. Lots. 'cause, he's got a cadre of people who love him.
Well, good ol' Unca Mikey got him *the* thing he wanted... Lego Batman 2 for the Wii. I mean, I was throwing a dart when I picked it out, saying "ah, well, they can take it back if they have one, or he didn't want it." Nope, Mikey did good, right then. He's been asking for that for a while, and I inadvertendly hit it outta the park. Woot.
So that was yesterday. Today, I get a text message from my brother. Remember, he works nights... It goes thusly:

I hate to do this, but...
Point blank: You have way too much stuff going on, and some of it is interefering with the operation of Co*. (Ok the last part is a bit of a 'duh' part, if it weren't then you wouldn't be here, right? Sorry. )
And it's too much to really try to solve here, IMO. You might want to invest in some time finding a decent computer store to take it to, and tell them: clean this up for me.
Seriously. That is... a LOT of stuff.
As an example, below is my Hijack this... probably not perfect, but it's not nearly as jammed with stuff as yours, and you'll see Co* running in the list...
I would also steer you from using Spybot and AVG and just use Microsoft Security Essentials instead. I use it, as seen in the list, and it seems to work just fine. I'm aware, and did use to tell people to use this combo, but... MSE seems to do the job, so I tell people this nowadays.
I'm sure I'll be busted in the chops for that, but... oh well. Everyone's different.
Another thing you could try is to do these:
1) Use the System Restore funciton of Vista to go back a few days, see if that doesn't clear the problem up.
2) Go through your Programs and Features list and start uninstalling programs you don't need. Especially those toolbars. Nobody needs 6 toolbars, for example.
3) Use MSConfig to go through your Startup and Services tabs to turn off various things you're running now. You can turn them back on later to check them out individually.
4) If it still doesn't run, then you're down to either taking it somewhere, or perhaps running Combofix (google for 'Combofix bleeping computer' to get it) and run that.
I hope you get it solved soon!

I too am... not inspired by anything out there. Co* has spoiled me rotten on how these should work. I don't care what's popular, this was the way it was supposed to be done (for the most part... I'm sure we can argue some pieces of it...)
Further, to be honest, this whole 'lightswitch' situation where I'm losing stuff I made because of some corporate weirdness.. well.. I just won't do it twice. 7 years and poof, gone? And not because we stopped playing, not because it got borked for good by a virus or something... Just because, literally.
Nope. Not interested in a repeat experience. MMOs are dead to me after Co* is shuttered. I'll go play Quake again maybe, or just... ride a motorcycle. Yeah. Wind in my hair and all that. If I had hair. And didn't wear a full helmet...
