  1. Rolling a Brawl/WP brute and gettin' him to 50 solo street sweeping only. And using him to tank 12 Fake Nemesis GMs that one time during the invasion. Sweet.

/What? You know that's epic, people.
//And a lil' insane, sure, but I'm an oddity anyway, so it works for me.
///Well, maybe not as epic as MrPlayskool or UniqueDragon (or even JR...), but still, it makes me feel epic, so that's that.

I agree with the ideas. But... there's a lot more that needs to be done with the thing than just that. So much potential... and yet... it lacks, big time, in some areas, IMO.

These would be huge, though. +1
  3. HERO PRIME IS MY HERO!!!

I was hoping someone else would do that. You win eleventywin intarwebs!

    /I miss Dr. Demento, bad.
//Oh, and Mako is a small fry of an opponent. He lets his lackeys do all the work, near as I could tell.

    Total Recall

Yeah, I saw it. Arnold was silly in it, and the whole thing where they got in a circle and shot themselves? Totally stupid.

But the bug eyed bit at the end was pretty decent. And Sharon Stone was yummy, I like her character. Michael Ironside is never a bad thing either.

Didn't like the traitorous to the cause taxi driver guy. Dude can't keep track of his kids.

/wait... They remade that crap?! OH. Well, no haven't seen it. *checks about*... Ooh, flying at a man's face with her legs spread Kate Beckinsale? Hm. I could totally watch that on DVD when it comes out in about a month or so, given ticket sales...
  6. I'm only replying because I saw this:

"And you have to do it with 8 enemies to get the Army of Me badge."

And I'm all "OH, now I gotta get me some of THESE!"

    I'm glad I opened this.

Now... re: Doppelgangers... I don't want minions, I want to face off on them... but from others in my account, really, that's what I'd want.

Thing of Bigness vs Brawling Humilator... FIGHT!

Cerise Dawn vs Ruby Dawn... FIGHT.

THAT is what I'd like to see them use it for... lettin' me battle my own alts to see who'd win... and awesome screencaps.

Without AE involved, natch. Just a random mission where you are alerted to one of your alts going nutz and you gotta go get 'em.

/Silly idea, I know. But one can dream...
  7. Let.
    It.
    Die.

There simply doesn't need to be a third one. Period. Let the first one be left alone... oh, wait they did a second one and it *blew chunks*.

Time to just let it go. Not even a reboot, just... move on with life, Ackroyd, et all.
  8. Brawling Humiliator will be on Pinnacle during the specified hours. Let's dance, Mako. Bring it.
  9. Nice Necro. BUT, as it piqued my interest, and before a Mod smacks it down...

  10. First suggestion for 'painting' is using rubber spray paint. Might stick better. Second suggestion, the one I'd go with, is sew the appropriate color/texture fabric as a cover over the panels. You can bulk it up or just a thin covering. 'course it helps if you can sew... Third suggestion is to use a dye instead, because it'll likely do a better job. The logos can be scraped off in many cases, btw.

For the bracers, I also like the second ones better, if that matters to ya. But I like these better:
    http://www.sportsunlimitedinc.com/un...ack/White-L/XL

For the mask? Gonna have to make it up, but perhaps some EL tape in red for around the eyes. Just an idea. Also, go dark red for the mask.
    http://www.amazon.com/Electro-Lumine.../dp/B0030UG8RQ

    Boots are these, IMO: http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/st...ck&N=895447678

    Shin guards:
    http://www.google.com/products/catal...ed=0CHsQ8wIwAQ
    or
    http://lacrosse.totalhockey.com/prod...ds/itm/8410-2/
which I like better. However, these may interfere with the boots above, so maybe something shorter, like this:
    http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/st...ck&N=895447678
    is a better idea.

Cape is simply go to a cloth store and get some material. Perhaps a nice smooth vinyl outer, with a nice cloth liner. Roll the edges and sew it up. Put a collar on it, or maybe make it a hooded cloak. A neck pull-string or something to tie it in the middle. Or, sigh, go the easy way and buy one...

Gloves you got covered. Only thing you need is a utility belt. Which would be this:
    http://www.amazon.com/Martial-Arts-S...s=utility+belt

Only, I'd dye it dark dark red instead of black. And the pants are the shiny nylon warm ups in black, unless you wanted football type padding on the thighs or something. Same thing for the shirt under that armor, as that armor is gonna SUCK by itself in comfort.

    ---

    THEN I found THESE:
    http://www.amazon.com/McDavid-Length...rds=Thigh+pads

And with those first boots and those other bracers, along with your chest armor? I think that'd work...

Ok, that was fun. Hope I helped! And I LOVE the idea! Can I tell my brother for him and his kid?

//And not for just this impishness either.
  13. I hadda buy a new laptop, got what I think is a good deal (of course, who ever says "I got screwed big time on this, and I liked it!") on a Lenovo i5/6GB/Intel Hd3000/Win7Home Premium.

It actually plays ok. For a road warrior machine, solo missions, it'll be fine. Weird movin' with the touchpad, but I just need to pack a mouse with it for that.

Doing a TF such as BAF? Yeah, forget that noise, it'll melt something, I think.

Love me some Lenovo. They make awesome lappies. Have 14 of them for work, and so far, after 1.5 years, no issues. *knocked some wood*.

/I actually do intend to get the 8 Pro upgrade. I have seen the RTM and don't find it offensive at all. Sure it's weird... but then, so was XP at first. And Vista. Well, Vista is still weird.
//Oh, and all that is to say that what Hyperstrike says is dead on accurate. And hilariously awesome.
  14. Oh, you want a challenge after getting a 50? Ok. Here's one.

I challenge the OP to make an inherent origin power only offensive character with whatever pri/secondary you need to make it work, and go incarnate.

Not. Even. Brawl. Just the inherent one.

Just the dagger/potion/taser or whatever others there is. You *can* pick which one of those, but that's it.

    Go.

/aw, heck now I gotta try that.
  15. Ledger reasons aside...

Yep, they didn't bust the *crazies* out... just the mob guys. There is quite a difference. Joker would have been stuck in Arkham, and done so *on purpose*. He's a chaos generator, and wouldn't be held under anyone's thumb, not Bane or Al Gul's.

Matter of fact, those two would have had to *recruit* Bats to find his *** again, because the Joker is both insane and crazy like a fox.

Nope, Nolan's personal issues aside, the Joker doesn't fit into this storyline, unless, somehow, he escaped on his own during it... and then Bane would have crushed his butt, if he saw him.

I.e., no point to it. None.
  16. I am the weird one. I didn't see any of the LOTR trilogy in the movies. Not one of them.

I had not seen the first one, but by Christmas, someone had gotten me the first Extended cut booklet set. And I said awesome. Only two more to go! And I waited. Avoided knowing anything about them, until I had them all. Oh, I'd read the Fellowship and about halfway through Two Towers, but then... didn't finish them. So I had no idea how the other two really went, just the first one. And I had to make sure to tell people "DON'T TELL ME! I'm waiting for the Extended cuts to get done, and I'mma watch 'em all. So shut up about it."

I even avoided watching them on the TBS or whatever it kept rolling on over and over. Easy enough, but still, so very tempting.

So, finally, I get the third Extended cut, and I got 'em all. Ready to go! Finally bus'em'out, and watched them. Over 4-5 nights after work. But all in one fell swoop. 11 hours, 6 discs, of LOTR awesomeness. That's three books, 4 hours-ish each.

Therefore, The Hobbit in 6 movies 2 hours (or longer!) is equally possible, sounds like, if the others were 4 hours apiece. Seems The Hobbit book was a little longer than Fellowship... Been a while since I read them, so...

And Peter's no fool, three movies means three box office takes. Wingnut is gonna make bank, too. If the Extended Cuts are any indication, that is, it'll be well worth it, you ask me, and nobody will care it's three movies. They will care the book has been properly visualized, and that's all that will matter.

/That extended stuff was Worth. Every. Minute.
//Will avoid Hobbit until it's all done and the final DVDs are made.
///Or Blurays, I guess... Sigh... tryin' to avoid those... The DRM sucks.
    ////Don't worry, I know... I just don't wanna go through the process, k? K.

As for the Shadow Shard, revamping and co-oping it seems to be low-hanging fruit for new content, but this might be a case where it's just as hard to fix a bad zone as it is to make a new one. I like the ambiance and there's a lot of story potential, but I never actually enjoy spending time in the Shadow Shard. The landscape is a nuisance, at best. The enemies are either annoying or brokenly hard, depending on the powerset I'm playing.
All the more reason I also pick the Shadow Shard. And they can fix the zones, but it was *meant* to be a challenge to navigate it... but they do sell, and really cheaply, I think, jet packs, so that's not a problem anymore.

But yeah, +1 Shadow Shard. By far. Either that, or a moon base, or a Big Red Ball.

    /you know y'all want that.
//Oh, and fix AE for Outdoor missions for front/middle/back and the other stuff.
  18. In case anyone cares, on the Pinnacle server, if a Zwillikti invasion happens on Friday night between 8p and 10p, or on Sunday evening from mid-afternoon or so...

Brawling Humiliator will be there to tank the GMs that Zwillikti spawns. Wherever it is. And also brawl them to their ultimate end. Just like the Zwillmesis invasion in AP that time. w00t.

    "Bring:It" - Michelle. More fitting:cannot be.
  19. (whole thread tl;dr, so I'm just spoutin' my opinons based on the first page's worth of stuff. In case that matters.)

First off, this was an excellent Nolan-ized Batman movie. I liked it, there was good stuff in it. I got everything. It was well done, and I approve of it.

Then again, I liked Speed Racer, so... bit of salt here.

The Dark Knight was the better of the three by a ton. Heath Ledger's Joker simply made that movie 10 times better than the other two, and the themes throughout it were stunning.

However, The Dark Knight Rises is a closer movie, meant to seal it off and be done with it. As such, it is right they explored and delivered a mechanism to put a stop to more Batman movies... i.e., Alfred was right: Time to move on, and please go live your life.

Bruce was hurting. Bad. Even before Bane shows up. He wasn't going to BE Batman much longer. But he is smart, and strong, and willful, and that's why he had to put the mantle on one more time.

That he left his legacy of toys behind, and functional, meant he *knew* that John Blake was going to find them... and use them (it's implied anyway). So Bruce could escape that particular burden, pass it along.

It therefore became how to escape the city, and his old life... Oh, hey, there we go. Boom. I'm 'dead'. And Selnia is the HAWT (I love me some Anne Hathaway), and she's kinda into me, and hey, she's got money... sure, why not? Later, Gotham, you'll be ok now.

He left behind the clues as needed so that the right people would know. Fox, Blake, Gordon, and finally Alfred, in the manner that was just... well, exactly right.

Yeppers, this was a good ending to the Nolanverse of Batman, overall. I approve. Please don't make any more of these, WB/DC/Syncopy/Nolan/Bale. You did good, time to move on with your lives.

/Now... what's the next interpretation of Batman gonna be, and who's gonna do it?

T.U.N.N.E.L. does not impress me. It smells of the ‘I only get to play this game 2 hours a week and I don’t want to spend it running from door to door!’ complaint.
I am houtex, and I only get to play this game 2 hours a week... well, ok, day, then... and I don't want to spend it running from door to door.

Notice I did *not* use an exclaimation point on that, because I don't whine about it... it simply is.

*I* am thankful for the thing, because it's dang handy... except when the zone I want to be going to ISN'T on it.

But that's what Founders/Cap is for, so I'm good.

BTW, the mission transporter doesn't... or didn't... recharge in a fast enough time... and sometimes the mission wasn't the right one, so I used it... and wound up in Eden, all the way East, so now I gotta move back to Founders to get to the middle to get anywhere.

    Not very handy, that. :|

    /yeah, I know, I shoulda checked...
//Not every thing has a mission door either.
///Yeah, yeah, bases, whatever. Not all of us have them for every character.
  21. Ok, I'll finally chime in:

There is no point to a CoH2. Period. None. Quit it.

Expanded argument: CoH2 would not let me move my characters. The Lore will not move with it. The Lore in CoH is what makes CoH go, besides the pew pew pew of the characters (or equivalent... perhaps it's bap bap bap or heal heal heal...)

CoH2 wouldn't even be CoH2, but Hero Corps or Supers On Ice or whatever it is, but it simply WILL NOT be CoH.

It'd be like XMen getting restarted from scratch, and NOTHING OF THE CURRENT XMEN being even remotely used.

Or, in other words, Tabula Rasa, say. *ugh*.

This, above all else, is why a CoH2 won't happen, and I just wish y'all'd get over it.

/If the wish is for CoH with better graphics? Ok, sure. But that's not CoH2, it's CoH Upgraded.

    WOOT! >>>BRAWL GETS FRENNED!!<<<

HA, all you 'Nerf Brawl!' people! Brawling Humiliator will be my first Respec just to get Boxing, Kick, and Cross Punch so that Brawl is even more awesomer than it is now. Since he doesn't have to USE the powers, just HAVE them, it's legal, and like a Set IO bonus. Chances for Negative tohit, recharge, recovery, and regen?

MUAHAAHAHAAA!!! With a 1.49 seconds with Hasten, or 1.69 without, total power cycle on Brawl, that's a LOT of chances for some good handy stuff.
