Also around the construction sites and the streets on the northeast end of the zone.

War Witch did mention in one of last week's ustreams that they were updating the Atlas safeguard/mayhem maps, but not Recluse's Victory.
-
So anything new discussed in today's chat?

I logged a bug (totally different issue), but queueing up for a Keyes Island I was dropped from the league and cannot "rejoin last". The rest of the league made it into the trial without a problem. I was not in an Obo Taskforce, and I was not queued in LFG.

Right now I don't see that "Freedom Friday" was a very big success. This is for a couple of reasons:
1) Out of the 100s of questions asked, only a handful were answered or even acknowledged.
2) The questions that were answered have been answered before (forums, uStream, news articles), and were even in some cases aswered more than once in the FB thread.
3) Yes there were a lot of posts in the thread, but people new to the thread were asking quesitons already asked multiple times (must not have wanted to read through the thread).
4) There was more help from other players answering questions then the Mods.
Possible changes that may make it better in the future:
1) Acknowledge all unique questions. I know there are lot and you cannot comment on all of them, but the vast majority of them appear to just be ignored. Maybe even compile a forums post that answers them. There are some really good questions there that deserve an answer even if it is the trademark "we can't comment on that right now" answer.
2) In the opening post, refer people to the FAQ post for Freedom and the new one from Positron regarding character slots. I can't count the number of times that one was asked. Let's let people know what has been answered and remind them to please refrain from asking about it again.
3) Answer more then just five or six questions. This was billed as an interactive Q7A. It didn't feel that way.
I think it was a good idea, but right now it just isn't working. -
Quote:They have stated that instead of boosters we would have the option of buying individual pieces (just want ninja run?) or a bundled set.If Paragon Studios is smart -- and they are -- then Boosters will cost about 2400 Paragon Points. Minimum. So anyone who wants to get all of the ones they're going to release per year plus the existing ones will have to pay extra money for them. There's no way they'd set up a system where they would earn *less* income from VIPs than they make now with subs. And giving away Boosters for P-points would do just that. They definitely *aren't* going to be selling new powersets for only 400 P-points. They simply aren't going to do something so counterproductive to their bottom line.

Quote:The IDF and Defense costume sets are included as part of I21.I'm not annoyed at having to buy them per se. I am annoyed that before it sounded like we'd be getting them with the issues. Now it sounds like they'll make them available, but you have to buy them.
Seeing as how they've had the F2P planned for over a year, they either should of made it sound like a "we'll make enemy costume sets as boosters" or in some way said "they'll be made available, but you'll have to pay for them" -
Quote:VIPs get 400 points a month to spend in the store. F2P and Premium players can purchase points to buy things in the store. WIPs will get powersets for free. F2P and Premium players must purchase them. The moment they do start charging VIP users for powersets (yes I know Going Rogue was required for Dual Pistols etc. but that was a full on boxed expansion, not some ingame cash store) is probably the time I will beg my leave of the game.
Simply because that is very definitely something we got free before hand. I honestly don't mind fluff items like costumes or temp powers but actual powersets is kind of where I draw the line. -
Forget the new screenshots. Look at the info in that PCGame article:
Speaking about new items and costume pieces Brand Manager Hosun Lee said: One of the most popular items is going to be something called an enhancement unslotter. Right now when you do a respect in City of Heroes you have to do the entire character, you cant do one power at a time, were going to give players the ability to basically do respecs a la carte. Were also granting players new costume parts. Its got some great features players have been asking for once again such as glowing energy wings to make you look more angelic, you can leave a trail of fire behind you when youre running, things like that. As well as other consumables such as double xp boosts, ability summons, temporary pets and a lot more than that. -
VIP users will have access to a monthly "signature arc" focusing on stories using signature characters. other users can buy access to these missions via the paragon store.

You do know you can talk to David Wincott and start his missions even if you aren't introduced?

Quote:They have already said this trial will release before Issue 21.Man already showing us the new incarnate trial? I wonder if it's going to be in the new issue or the one after... Since it's been said that no new incarnate slots will be in issue 21... Sounds fun though, if we fail it, seems like Cole can turn in on the resistance... The Plot Thickens!

The first time I heard someone mention kickball, all I could figure out is that a gravity troller would summon some junk and then the teams would kick it around a map.

Check out this site. This guy redesigned all of the Star Wars characters to be steampunk. Pretty cool.

Thank goodness on the S/L change. Before it was a guaranteed failure if you had more than 2 or 3 scrappers on the league.
-
Quote:Without using pacification grenades though he had a 100% resistance to smashing and lethal which made most scrappers less than optimal for a moLambda where you are not using the temp powers.Smash and Lethal should now be on-par with all other non-psi damage sources for the Marauder fight (95% resisted while enraged). The only advantage that psi has is that Unstoppable doesn't raise it to 100%. OTOH, the reduction of the Unstoppable duration from 2 minutes to 1 does make having a lot of psi slightly less important.

I'm not saying I agree to the one target change, but A change was warranted.

Finally a fix to the Eden trial. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Also does the change to Marauder's S/L resistance make having scrappers and brutes on a MoLambda run feasible now? -
Quote:I don't think this is something any of the devs can answer for you. It could be anything from a client problem to a driver problem to something with your computer. I'd try updating all your drivers, doing a disk optimization, and doing a repair on the game client. This may clear up your problem.I've been having problems with my CoH/CoV. I'm not sure if it's a Mapserver error or whatever, but when I load in to the game, my graphics glitch out.... and then everything freezes. I don't have Ultra Mode turned on either. What could be causing this? I can't even Ctrl-Alt-Del when this happens and I have to do a manual shut down of my PC which keeps causing errors on my start-up. Please let me know what may be the cause of this.

There's a difference between overpowered and insane. Turning a rain power into a nuke is insane.
-
I think it's a little late to get anything changed in the pack at this point.

Quote:The new redside TF takes about 45 minutes tops.Only 4 failed attempts for me, but that's not because I've had any successes....I just don't have the time to get on and try. This whole system is starting to bore me.....The BAF is more fun and better for rewards, but Lambda is the only one I have left to get badges on. On top of that, I have all the new redside badges to get, except that those all take at least a tf-worth of time to run. I'm starting to get antsy waiting for SW:TOR to come out....

Wish I could have helped. Tried to log on, but the lag was so bad that I couldn't even move. Freedom is gonna be awful on 5/27.
