Mapserver Restarts 5/19/2011

Due to reports of multiple Mapserver crashes we are going to be restarting several Mapservers beginning at 12:05 PM PDT/3:05 PM EDT/8:05 PM BST. If you are currently on an affected Map (mission or otherwise) you may be disconnected from the game or removed from your current map.

We anticipate that these restarts should take no more than 15-20 minutes.

I've been having problems with my CoH/CoV. I'm not sure if it's a Mapserver error or whatever, but when I load in to the game, my graphics glitch out.... and then everything freezes. I don't have Ultra Mode turned on either. What could be causing this? I can't even Ctrl-Alt-Del when this happens and I have to do a manual shut down of my PC which keeps causing errors on my start-up. Please let me know what may be the cause of this.

I don't think this is something any of the devs can answer for you. It could be anything from a client problem to a driver problem to something with your computer. I'd try updating all your drivers, doing a disk optimization, and doing a repair on the game client. This may clear up your problem.

I have just recently updated my display drivers yesterday, and have reinstalled the game..... and I still get the same problem. It's kind of annoying. I swear it all went downhill when I got the new loader from NC Soft. Oh well..... looks like I just wasted 15 bucks to resub my account.

There is a Rikti invasion taking place in Atlas right now. The lag is beyond ridiculous. My ping is over 1000. I tried to leave to go to Steel and it literally took 2 minutes for the tram to even show up.

I'm having a lot (a dozen) of "Lost Connection to Mapserver" today, in incarnate and non-incarnate content, in LGTF, in Pocket D... I've been kicked out from the game three times and sent back to the login screen with a "lost connection to the server" message (twice while I was in a league, waiting for the leader to launch it).

Like many players,I have a lot of technical issues since Issue 20's launch. I've ran a lot of tests with technical support and they came to the conclusion that my ISP was the cause of these issues, though Im having the same problems (huge loading times, lags, LCMS, power lags, "cryptic window" crash, "combat attribute" crash, map server crash...) when I play from different locations.
