Damn, thats 8 gigs of RAM, oh well.
The wipe really doesn't bother me since I tend to do that on a regular basis (the OS just seems to bog down after a few years on installs and removals) and everything I want to keep is pretty much in one folder (game saves, ect) -
Well after a recovery it did?
I've had the sorry misfortune of updating my OS and during the course of the update I encountered "Fatal Error C000009A", unfortunately I can't roll back to before the Win7 Utlmiate SP1 update and for some reason The NCsoft Launcher and by association CoH will not launch.
I click on the NCsoft Launcher and all I get is an instant "NCsoft Launcer has stopped working" on a reltated note My APC Powerchute UPS monitoring software is doing the same thing.
I unistalled both programs reinstalled and made sure I was running as the admin. Prior to MS turning out this patch I had no problems. -
Oh I dont know, when I was pounding around Founders with my blaster, one of my favorite mini-games was to go sniper hunting right around Icon in the Gaspee. Nothing like sitting in the middle of three crey snipers and trying to take them out before at least two of them get you.
T'was proper blaster training when I was earning my cape grandpa! -

Hmmm... "Pens Robert Greene in on the list of people I want to leave a tire track on"
Hey was distracted for a second. This guy Greene looks like he would have made a stellar boss at say Enron.

Hmmm... king you say?
I'd revamp the shard -
The best April Fool's joke I can remember is when the local rock station (FM99) in Va Beach convinced alot of people there had been a dangerous build-up of methane gas under Mt. Trashmore (landfill converted to a park). Alot of people didn't make the connection between the anouncement and April 1st.
As I recall, the morning show that did the joke was off the air for about month or so. -

Ohhhh.... I could handle that, I'd finally get my damn badge for doing the 3rd respec trial!

Could be regional but "spunk" in my AO refers to well, errr.... baby batter.

Quote:Emperor Cole's greatest trick is making you think he hasn't already won. Here have another one of those rebranded enriches..... hmmmmmm.... just like slurm. Not necessarily. Even if advanced cybernetic prosthesis are available, you can't force them on someone. Some people might refuse because of personal reasons. Others may refuse because of religious reasons. So yes, there still could be people in wheelchairs.
And yet, that seems entirely appropriate for a society based on a spider theme. -
Quote:Heros could be there to stop Rularru from entering Paragon Prime while villians would be there to steal his power. The heros reluctantly team up with the villians and the villians are just using the heros as dupes.I'd agree with just about everything here apart from making it all co-op, all the time. The raid at the end, sure but I'm tired of my villains being forced to be sub-heroes in order to do anything new high level. I'd rather see different story arcs for heroes and villans which could be mechanically co-op but with differing objectives. The heroes trying to save the natives of the Shard and the villains taking advantage of them.
Or something like that, I dont have a problem with co-ops myself, but I agree, the reasons for villians or heros fighting along side of each other need to be different than "play nicely together". -

Titan A.E.
When Worlds Collide
Beneath the Planet of the Apes
Oh... spoilers, I guess?
I'm sure there are others, but generally global disaster movies leave the planet standing, so to speak. -

Agreed cool popcorn flick, that said, would have rather seen the entirety of the earth subjugated, its resources drained and all all life forms reduced to spare parts for the invaders leaving the third mudball from the sun barren and lifeless. Nobody ever does a cool movie like that!

Yep, its all about the journey for me

Quote:That'd be it, just have to slot correctly and keep a few purples on hand and it isn't to bad (unless a body is one of those crazy folks who feels zero debt from 1-50 is the only way to play a toon) in the later levels.I've always found that blaster are quite strong at lower levels, it's at higher levels when there are more mezzing enemies that they become more challenging.
I've never tried it myself, but how does a fire/energy blaster work out - lots of damage at range and good crowd control up close - it would seem to me. -
Quote:Yep, proven many many years ago when europe said to hell with armor and melee weapons after the boomstick showed up!That is an interesting concept. Who would win in a fight, geeks wielding medieval weaponry or Headbangers in Beer Gear. Thought it would be interesting to see how an army would do with creating medieval weaponry using modern techniques against a police force. Armor would be similar to Kevlar vest, but a sniper should make short work out of the medieval army.

Quote:Oh man, my dual blades/willpower scrapper was so much fun!Something paired with Willpower would be good at the start and a smooth ride to 50. Perhaps Katana/Broadsword or Dark Melee?
Quote:the lesson you should take from this is "anything but a blaster" -
I'll give it a shot, I'm an Ahnold fan when it comes to Conan, but hell if the movie is good, I'll be fine with it.
Besides, would be good reason to go reactive my AoC account and get all hack & slash on some vanir! -
