Resummon.
A lot.
It's a viable strategy that some MMs refuse to consider since they think they have to keep their pets alive.
It's like the MM role at a redside Hami Raid.
Or, play like a Tankermind and Team TP your pets around with you. -

Get the Phase powers from the PvP zone missions, or, the Ethereal Shift temp power recipe.

Quote:Did you talk to your helper contact in person before entering the mission? Thanks for mentioning this, Snow, I doubt I'd have noticed if you hadn't.
However -- as a Hero-gone-Villain-gone-Rogue (currently), my toon is unable to get any of the mission entrance radios to respond, including the one right at the beginning of the first mission in the arc (I'm using Ouroboros to access it, since I'm a 50). Since I seem unable to raise any of the three "side" contacts to interact with them, I was not able to earn the Connected badge (although completing the penultimate mission earned me the Keeper of the Coral Lore badge as might be expected).
Has anyone else had trouble like this? I tried re-running the arc again via Ouroboros, and still am unable to get the radio near the entrance to respond to my character (am I just missing something really obvious?). -
I think she should totally hook up with Mephisto.
-
The fact that Rularuu is just one of the many Time Echoes in Ramiel's first mission as future Rami tells us that "they" destroyed the place and moved on once Ouroboros was deemed impotent tells me that The Rularuu is not The Coming Storm.

Quote:Almost all the Granites I've teamed with had TP or massive unsuppressed movement bonuses, or, they'd only team with a Kin.
Quite literally the ONLY people at a GAME-enforced disadvantage are non-teleporting Stone Tankers who enjoy Granite too much simply because they refuse to build well enough to survive without it. Even then that's a SMALL subset of a specific AT and powerset combination.
I feel bad for Dual Blades. Their combo bonuses will often be disrupted. -
Quote:Last time I did it, I didn't take any damage from rain of death. You take a glancing blow from a AoE, not full damage but then sword comes by and finishes you off, you die. You take damage or use an attack, SS or SJ is suppressed for a bit, you take some damage. Granted yes, you should keep moving. But you honestly believe that someone isn't going to take damage?
Constructive, non-one line thoughts please?
That's way different from the first few times I did it.
You learn. Learn to dodge.
Especially to stop queuing up the next attack so that you can move. *THAT* is what kills people. You get about a 5 second warning. There is no animation in the game that long. The only people who are 'caught' by 'rooting' are those who queued up a second attack or weren't paying attention.
Learn not to do that.
Blasters are adept at that. They fire, run, fire. Melee-ers are not. They plant themselves and queue up an attack chain. Doing that will get you killed. Don't do that.
BTW, I use long casting time sniper fire for that mission. -
Quote:Shards are bind on pick-up... like Tickets... and Merits... and Prestige... and Alignment Merits... and Vanguard Merits...Wouldn't it be easier to just sell Incarnate shards at merit vendors? I have no idea what the price would be but perhaps 200 reward merits or 2 hero/villain merits?
They can not be sold or traded. -
Quote:You can't respec out of Fitness. It's inherently inherent.Okay, just came back to the game, and heard that if you have a Respec available, and use it before Dec 8th, you will automatically get another one.
Is this the case? I'd like to just wipe out the fitness pool and then be able to use another later if my build is all wonky after recent changes.
Been away from the game for about 3 years, so I am a bit behind on current affairs.

Quote:They're called level 50 Flashbacks. Many have more than 1 EB in them. AND you get Merits. And if you do the 4 RWZ arcs, you also get Vanguard Merit drops. For those people who absolutely under no circumstances want to team up with anyone ever and still want the Incarnate powers, how about a source of repeatable radio-like missions? Solo-only, with an EB at the end of every one, and a guaranteed Incarnate Shard as a drop once every 20 hours.

Quote:Official I19 release without Alpha Slotting most likely by the end of the week.Obviously the inclusion of the Incarnate system is delaying the new update, but has there been any word on a possible timeline yet?
Been using a manually editied version in the meantime so not in a big hurry. I appreciate the hard work those folks do, just haven't been keeping up on the status.
Thanks in advance.
An Alpha Slotting version update within a few weeks. -

During the day I watched the cost of level 50 Common IOs go from .5 mil to 5 mil.
My crafting couldn't keep up with the demand. I see people paying a million for a Common Endurance Reduction, so I craft and put a bunch up for 750,000. That was bought out and the price went up to 2 mil. Crafted again... now up to 4 mill.
I didn't mind paying 100k for common salvage if I could sell it crafted for 5 mill.
It's not only the Monkey BAEbies that are now 50 and outfitting their exploitoons, but with Inherent Fitness and the Alpha Boost, everyone is respecking. -

I got the Recharge/Heal Uncommon Boost, here's what I did:
1. Ramiel's arc. Got 1 Shard.
2. Bought G'rai Matter with Vanguard Merits. That's 1 Component.
3. Ran ITF. Got Ancient Nictus Component (2nd Component) and 6 Shards.
4. Crafted third Component from 4 Shards. (2 Shards left over)
5. From the 3 Components, I crafted and slotted my Common Alpha Boost.
6. Did a LGTF. Got a component and 5 Shards. (Now up to 7 Shards)
7. Did a Dr. Kahn TF. Got a component and 6 Shards. (Now up to 13 Shards)
8. Spent a Component and 8 Shards for an Uncommon Component. (5 Shards left)
9. Spent 4 Shards to create a Component. (1 Shard left)
10. Spent my Common Boost, 2 Common Components, and the one Uncommon Component for the Uncommon Boost and slotted it.
Then I did the two new Incarnate TFs.
One day. -
Quote:I got the Recharge/Heal boost, here's what I did:I've tried to figure this out since yesterday, but now I have to ask.
I have done the mission to open the alpha slot for my main, a fire/kin troller.
Now I want to slot the best recharge thing possible in the Alpha slot.
Which Task Forces do I need to complete in order to do that? Or am I getting random drops at the end of TFs so I don't know how many?
Here's what I did yesterday:
1. Ramiel's arc. Got 1 Shard.
2. Bought G'rai Matter with Vanguard Merits. That's 1 Component.
3. Ran ITF. Got Ancient Nictus Component (2nd Component) and 6 Shards.
4. Crafted third Component from 4 Shards. (2 Shards left over)

Now, once you slot your first tier boost, you can do the new Incarnate TFs. Each give 2 guaranteed Shards at the end, plus whatever drops during. -
There was a mini-patch this morning, which was not I19. Though, on one of my computers, the patch was wrong and had to re-patch 'fixing' the main program.
Then, 10 minutes later, the servers went down with an in-game announcement. (They went down about 5 minutes ago from this post's time stamp.) -
Quote:You shouldn't be.Once again, Rhode Islanders, such as myself, are cast to the gutters.

RI law only applies if the prizes are $500 or greater, and the total value of the prizes of this contest are less (unless there's some other law involved which I couldn't find -- call the office of your Secretary of State for clarification).
Anyway, as a Rhode Islander, do something about it. You're a citizen of a democracy. You have a voice. Exercise it. Even if it's to get them to raise the minimum threshold to a more reasonable $5,000, or, a minimum threshold of $500 per winner and not total winnings.
In any case, NCSoft needs to do their homework better regarding RI law since this contest doesn't meet the state's threshold of notice.

Quote:I had an Empathy Defender named "Dr. Ironic." He had no heals except the secondary aura forced on him.Man- I would love to see such a toon in action. You should probably name him "Kick-Me", because after getting on a PuG for about 3 mins, you would probably find yourself teamless. Haha. Sounds like chaos and fun.
When team mates complained I didn't heal them, I told them I didn't have any heals, thus my name. Then I got kicked. -
My level 50 Dark/Dark Defender had no problems with Lady Winter going toe-to-toe with her (that's Melee range).
I hit the Defense Accolade and used three defense inspirations later on. I didn't even use any other insps than that, not even the usual 6 reds to do uber damage. I eventually whitled her down (D3s don't have big damage like a Melee-er does).
I found her easier than Snaptooth, for whom I always stay out of melee range if I want to live.
IMO, she doesn't need to be nerfed based on a level 50 fight. I'll try lower level toons, tho...
