The dangers of Aunt May's romances.
The only one I know of is her brief relationship with one Otto Octavius. Although... not really an enemy of Spidey's per se, but Aunt May did get married not too long ago to J. Jonah Jameson Sr. That's right, Spider-Man is now secretly in-laws with his least favorite newspaper publisher/political figure.

I think she should totally hook up with Mephisto.

Not a romance, but she WAS briefly the herald of Galactus.
Her herald name?
Golden Oldie.
Peter needs to buy off that DNPC Disad. You'd think he'd have gotten enough points by now.

May's relationship with Octopus was always interesting, though. As stupid as it makes May sound, she always believed that Octopus (who was a Doctor, for goodness sake, so he must be a fine young man) was the victim of media exaggeration while that terrible Spider-Man was always hounding him. The two met, originally, when Octopus happened to take up May's ad for a border in her house to meet some of her bills. It's correct that they were also, at one point, engaged, though that ended with Octopus and Hammerhead presumed dead via nuclear explosion.
Years later, Ock would stop by the Parker household on a lonely Christmas, seeking the company of the lone person in the world who treated him decently (his crimes notwithstanding); only to turn away when he saw her with a full family and a new fiancee (Nathan Lubensky, a non-supervillain suitor who was eventually killed by the Vulture, so that might be relevant too) inside through the window. A half hearted fight with Spider-Man later, he tentacled his way off into the snow.
I'm probably not telling it particularly well, but the two of them had a storied relationship that was really the only sign of humanity from Doc Ock until we were given some of his personal history (and another girlfriend) in the mid 90's.
May also dated, though she never got to the engagement stage, with Willie Lumpkin: the Fantastic Four's elderly mail man.
I hear that in the coming months, Quesada plans to reveal that Aunt May cheated on Uncle Ben with Jonathan "Pa" Kent.
Sadly, it'd be the best plot twist of his career.
Aunt May is too much of a "cougar" in my book. She just seems to get around alil too much.
Nice Stella Dallas vibe in that Doc Ock story SMerc passed on. However, I just had to post because this sentence:

I believe she also had a brief romance with Jarvis, the Avengers butler during Peter's recent stint with them just before or around Civil War.
All I remember of the Spider Man newspaper comic was this one arc involving a guy who'd built a robotic gorilla suit and seemed to spend every waking moment firing a tommy-gun at it and espousing its many virtues (one of which was being bulletproof), out loud to no one in particular.

According to an interview I saw of Stan Lee... it was Lee who put characters around peter in those types of situations because he thought they were interesting.
One of those random musings that was sparked by looking at the local paper and seeing the horrible, horrible Spider-Man newspaper comic which currently has Aunt May being courted by the Mole Man.
It seems to me that i've read of several other stories where one super villain or another has courted or otherwise sought the company of Peter Parker's dear old aunt, causing all sorts of stress and panic for Peter. Sometimes it seems like Peter's life would've been simpler if the mugger had shot Aunt May instead of Uncle Ben.
Does anyone know how many times Aunt May has been the object of attention by one of Spider-Man's foes?
