It's a draw between three:
Bane Spider - I am sentimentally tied to him, since I invested so much time and effort in this toon. Wrecking things has never been that good. AND...the visual of an arachnos army jumping into a base makes me giggle.
Earth/Rad troller - Simply my jack of all trades, but master of ALL OF THEM. HA!
Plant/Thorns dom - because I'm going to permadom you to death, anytime. -

More recharge? Nah, plenty of.
More endurance? Could use a bit more, but I am perfectly manageable right now.
More dmg? Hell yeah. Musculature all the way. -
Banes are WAY underrated. My bane is also my main toon and he's a damn crack to play, way more than every stalker I played...and I played lots.
The only weakness I can't do crap about is lack of DDR, but I find him very survivable and capable of putting out big orange numbers.
This is my build, softcapped, around 40% s/l resist, with good recharge (almost perma hasten), accuracy and damage bonus. I suggest taking cardiac as alpha cause end management could be a bit tough at times, especially with the new hybrid toggle that goes for 0.5 end/sec. Cardiac apply even on it. I also suggest rebirth cause you have no other sources of healing.

Hello there. Was wondering if a complete and up-to-date list with pics of *every* weapon customizations do exists. Paragonwiki has a lot, but I was looking mainly for tier 9 vip weapons, for example. Any idea or, better, a link?

I have a grav/time troller in the 40s and he's just plain awesome. They did a GREAT work with impact mechanics and the dmg scales pretty well. I'd say st dmg-wise it's the highest for a controller set between you and singy it applies A LOT. Right now it's a hell of a hold machine: 2 ST holds, 1 aoe hold, 1 aoe with hold proc and singy spamming st hold...it plays almost like a dom, everything is held and I just apply impact dmg which is really big for a controller. I didn't take dim shift as is too much situational for me. All in all, this toon really shines in almost every situation, can't wait to incarnate him.

It's one of the things the developers constantly keep an eye on, what sets are showing lowest use numbers, by how much. Whenever a set is buffed they also try to avoid breaking the theme of the set if possible.
After playing 50 lvls of a WM scrapper, I'm not going to ride the same road, more or less, with a BA scrapper. Just an example. -
Dark armor is flat awesome. And unique.

I know is like beating on a dead horse, but I really LOVE to see some serious revamps to old powersets that are flat obsolete or just do not play well with the modern CoH gameplay. I'd be extremely happy to have a whole issue dedicated instead of adding new content, zones, areas and such.
Imho these sets need to be partially reworked if not totally revamped:
Electrical Blast and Energy Blast - hardly seeing anyone playing these.
Ice Control - needs some love, back to the times it was awesomesauce, now it just sits at the bottom of the pile. Sad.
Force Field - this is odd: it just adds def, some def and another bit of def to everyone that's already softcapped. Really useful just in low-mid lvls. Have no idea how to make it more yummy or something.
Battle Axe/War Mace/Broad Sword/Katana - these stay on the same boat: they're not bad, they're simply...meh. New weapon sets just have more gimmicks, more interesting mechanics, more appeal than just whack-a-fu. Probably they just need something special, if not unique, to appeal peeps. Dual blades, for example, is not a wonderful set, but it feels unique in its way. Claws is another example of uniqueness in swift attacks and a nice mix of ranged and melee.
Regeneration - good for pvp. whait, who said lolpvp? This one lost its uniqueness with the, albeit needed, old big nerf. Playing it nowadays in normal/high content is just asking for a hard beating. Needs something more than a bit of s/l res.
Ice Melee - Uhm. Well, I just never ever played this one, so it may be an hidden treasure, lol. Seriously, a bit of touch may be needed, especially in the DPS department.
Ninja and Mercenaries - Need some work to be on par with other MM sets. Some survivability tool for ninjas and attack cycles revamp, especially for the tier2 henchies, for mercs. Oh, and shorten the laughable recharge on serum, at least.
I know it's a big pile of work, but I think it's needed to give more difference and variety to the playerbase. -
This is my pve build, probably a bit heavy on end but I usually run with T4 cardiac.
Purples are not mandatory, you can just swap them for decimation/crushing impact.
Bear in mind the def bonus of cloaking device is halved when not hidden, even in that case I am softcapped in all positional.
Accuracy and dmg are pretty crazy, hasten is close to perma and with T4 cardiac I have even good s/l res (over 40%) and obviously zero end management issues. Add in T4 rebirth with +Max HP and you're golden.
The only weakness of this toon is flat zero def debuff resist, but oh well.

Having finally ended my build and pretty satisfied with it, I am thinking about ditching away cardiac and go with musculature. Got 3.32 end/sec as global recovery so I should be ok even without cardiac. As for destiny I hug my rebirth cause I have no other forms of healing, basically.
What do u guys do? -
This is by default my cave farmer, slotted with T4 Agility Core Paragon and T4 Ageless Core Epiphany.
Comments welcome to improve it, especially with a bit of more recharge.

Obviously someone did not ever play /kinetics at all. I can spam kin powers til the end of the world and be much, much more effective than spamming a poor 30.59 unenhanced dmg ST imm in every game situation.

2 questions:
- I am not playing melee toons that often, but I always thought DM has been one of the best single target powerset. Has it been vastly overshadowed by STj/KM or do you think it can compete with those 2?
- Trying to fill AS into an attack chain. Ideas and/or calculations about the global recharge needed? -
Fire/Dark is gonna be an instant fotm.
I see it slaughtering easily every **** in the high lvls. Incarnate him and you're in for a sick sick combo, especially with pbaoe stuff.
Put down a tar patch, go in with hot feet or just throw howling twilight AND flashfire for double mag aoe stun (HT is autohit, remember), imps on rage and pretty defences. Soul Absorption/TGrasp as needed. YIKES! -
Anyone got a screenie of them on a toon? Would like to see the model applied to a playing toon, so I can start looking seriously to finish a TPN

Necro/Dark is classic, awesome sauce.
Nonetheless, you can pump out a real army, up to 10 pets: 6 base, 1 from dark extraction, dark servant and 2 lore pets. Take the seers as lore pets and you'll have so much cc around that anything will barely move.
