I've never had a problem with the animation time on recon, but I have on DP. MoG is pretty much the best power ever.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The problem with MoG is that it's a 2.904 sec animation for a 15 second buff. It's actually got a painful delay, if you're trying to use it reflexively.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I pop it as I'm leaping into a tough spawn. I don't really try to solo AVs or anything like that though, so everything is usually dead before I get to a point where I'd want it again.
  2. I'd love to have a ss on scappers. It would give that badass superman fists of steel feel.
  3. I've never had a problem with the animation time on recon, but I have on DP. MoG is pretty much the best power ever. Punch the sky animation + power up noise + 15 seconds of invincibility. On my regens I skip hasten because I haven't needed it, and when I do use it, it makes me feel rushed and not have as much fun stabbing things.
  4. MoG obviously givess you a super goo layer with great resists. The absorbed you are seeing is from the bullets, swords, etc, getting absorbed into your goo layer.
  5. Golden Dragonfly is also a small cone. I suggest rolling both and keeping whichever you like better after 10 or so levels.
  6. I go into battle detoggled all the time. Although its not as big as a deal for a regen, as our defenses are passives and clicks mostly.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
Your attacks are the big end-drainers (especially once you've got at least some end red in the toggles) so it's key to get them way, way down in cost. That's hard to do if six-slotting them for the positional defense set bonuses -- so don't.

My secret to soft-capping on my MA/SR is to use powers I don't attack with to hit the soft cap (Touch of Death in Boxing for example, although Razzle Dazzle is also a good choice) and then frankenslot the heck out of the real attacks for endurance -- my attacks run about 82% end reduction on average. A little end red in the toggles (there's diminishing returns from slotting end red too heavily in the toggles) and just one of the endurance IOs (Numina or Miracle uniques, Performance Shifter proc) and I'm good for long fights.

It's pretty tricky though, slots are at a premium.

    [/ QUOTE ]
You can do that? Do procs work that way too?
  8. So, I'm getting to the point where I want to start getting IO sets on my katana/regen scrapper. I fail really hard at IOs and mids, but here is what I came up with. Could someone that knows what they're doing make a better one?

  9. I don't see why you'd want to be attacked more. The great thing about spines in pvp is that you can attack from range and not be attacked.
  10. Do other people use lunge? I never use lunge after 32. D:
  11. Doesn't numina's TF have a giant monster in it?

    Spines damage

My 50 is a spines/regen. With regen, I've never had a tough time with big mobs. In fact, sometimes I solo 6 person spawns on unyielding(more baddies than invincible). Bosses and avs can take a long time with spines though. All in all, spines does amazing damage, but lack in the ST department.
  13. Do our old respecs stop working? Or is it more of a, no use having 2 thing?
  14. Personally, I love all the buff animations. Even fire/cold.

Having to accept a buff is a horrid idea. I lost count of how many times I charged into battle with my blapper after growing tired of waiting for the tank. If I had to accept a buff, instead of getting it right when the troller/defender send it out, I would have died a whole lot more than I have.
  15. I would put 3 rech and 3 heal in instant healing, dull pain, and reconstruction. You are going to want those to be up as often as possible and as effective as possible.
  16. Alright, I'll roll him right now and test it out.
  17. I'm thinking about rolling my first redside toon. I want to make him a brute, so I can be kinda like a scranker. I love stone armor, but will the -recharge from granite ruin my fury building potential?
  18. I would not slot lunge at all. I never ever use lunge. It does less damage than ripper and it doesn't give you the benefit of range. Another thing I would do is get the power thrust attack from body mastery power pool. It does knockdown and will give you a good amount of mitigation. You aren't really losing anything by not taking caltrops, as all of your attacks will have a slow component and impale has immob.
  19. On my /sr I just respecced out of practiced brawler as a test, and I'm still not getting mezzed. Is this going to become a problem later, or can I just skip it forever?
  20. Yea, EA doesn't seem so bad. it gets pretty good defense and some resists and a lot of cool utility powers. Also an elude clone
  21. Did they nerf recharge speeds on PA? My ill/rad slotted PA with 2dam, 1 acc, 3 rech and with just that and AM it was almost perma. A few seconds of downtime.
  22. I have a large amount of spines/ scrappers and I can tell you that /dark is definitely not gimped. Its very powerful and synergizes quite well with spines. Once you get it slotted for endred properly, you become a lawnmower of death.

    I'm curious...

Well, if we're looking for excuses for a natural origin, put on some experimental goggles and call it a gadget power. Nobody says that natural super heroes can't use a little technology.

Just like manticore. He is always refered to as natural, yet he uses his trusty bow.
