In an AE mission, halfway through, my brain shut off when I saw the glorious blinkie, screaming "CLICK ME!" - so I did.
Seconds later, my teammates reminded me that we could have gotten many more tickets if we had clicked the blinkie AFTER all the mobs were defeated.
Grrr.
The other funny thing was that I did ask the group if I could click the blinkie, and some said yes, but they were probably not serious since what I discovered I really typed was "Should I lick the Blinkie?"
Afterward, for some reason, no one asked me what it tasted like.

The best one is when my cat jumped on my key board and i ran into a large set of mobs low level pre agro limit got the whole team wiped in the the Juils Troll cave in Hollows
You know the one back in the day when you got debt after level 5 and you hated that long [censored] cave and you had to run a mile to get back with no such thing as a temp travel power

Was doing a Sara Moore TF, we were half way through and I was getting sick of nemesis (which are pretty much harmless to Infatum unless they're vengeanced out the wazoo). So the next mission involves hostage rescues, and I figure since I'm the first one there by a long shot I'll just go "stealth" it by flying past everything.
I had already flown by and aggroed about five or six groups with my taunt aura before it dawned on me that all the 8 man nemesis spawns were wearing rularuu costumes for some reason... *faceplant*

Even though I was new to the game at the time, I don't know anyone who did this. On my first alt, I figured it was a good idea to get my prime and 2ndary powers first before I took a travel. Nor did I know anything about bank missions. I went 22 levels with only the good vs evil jump pack power. That's running threw the hollows, taking the fire escapes to get to upper levels in KR, sprinting down the streets of steel canyon, taking the freeway to get around skyway, falling down the cracks in faultline waiting for the jump pack to recharge. I don't even want to talk about boomtown and doing the cape mission. It wasn't until I actually got on a team and was clowned by everyone that what I was doing was just dumb logic.

I've seen people respectably get to level 20 without a true travel power. I've seen a lot more do it after the AE release... At one point i made a toon that relied on hurdle and swift 2-3 slotted to get around. Of course at the time that was kind of the in thing to do. This was long before i6, and before the level cap increase and before i'd ever been to FF or even bricks, in short when I first started playing.

I go into battle detoggled all the time. Although its not as big as a deal for a regen, as our defenses are passives and clicks mostly.
Even for Regen, no status protection can be a real beat.

I was attempting to beat my dreaded foe the "keep the Red Caps from escaping" mish on a team with my fire/rad. I had respec'd him, and took Bonfire just for this. It was going great. I was tossing red caps everywhere. A bunch got through, but the mish was about to be completed. I am fairly positive it was the last mob. A few more got through, and I saw that only one more could escape. As I looked, the Bonfire decided to toss a Red Cap directly into the portal.

Minor nitpick: It's Fir Bolg.
On topic: I've had a few "charge in untoggled" moments, but I don't really have any massive Scrapper blunders.
I do recall taking my blaster on my first ITF on release day, and Power Thrusting Romans off the bridges by the dozen. The fall doesn't kill them (I knew that), and they can walk back up (I didn't know that). And the ones that come from ambushes stay aggroed on you. For ever. If they go over the aggro cap, they transfer to a different teammate.
Suddenly, we had over 50 Romans jumping up a cliff at us as we were regrouping after a fight.

Mine wasn't too bad. I was doing a no temps no insps no deaths Mender Silos, and halfway through somehow forgot that I had click mez protection (Hasten is what I have on auto). Poof dead, challenge failed, start over from the beginning. I'd have been annoyed, but I was laughing too hard at my own stupidity.

Yeah it is a total drag only having one power that gets to be on auto recharge! I had the exact same issue ummm ( starts counting and runs out of fingers) a couple of times and then switched the status protection to auto instead of hasten. At least this way I am not insta dead.

Yeah, I'm usually hard to offend. I just haven't been on the forums for a few days. I got forced at gunpoint to try WoW for the first time and to keep pace with my leveling, so haven't had time for much else.

I had a noob moment like this when I was playing my first regen.
"Hmm, I'm going to take dull pain instead of reconstruction, because it heals, and it gives an HP boost."
Also I didn't take integration, because back then, it didn't do anything except give you mez protection and cost a lot of end. "I don't need mez protection, I'm not getting mezzed that often." Good times...

I use to do that back in the perma elude days I got tired of dying from forgetting to click my mez protection I switch it back to auto

Occasionally, particularly when on a large team, I'll forget to put out FFG. You really feel it when you forget it.
Also, during a respec a few levels ago, I took swift instead of hurdle...Really dumb right? Not as dumb as the fact it that was the only change I ended up making!

um, I still level on drops 90% of the time. I don't buy any enhancements until 22 if I can avoid it.
When I first started the game, I was wholly convinced that I could run up the side of a building with super speed if I could just figure out what button to press when next to a building.

In all fairness with the whole concept of superspeed being a super power, you really should be able to do that. And there should be a standing on the wall emote when in fly/hover

After an unfortunate team wipe in a cows mission we regrouped and went back in, My DM/Shields scrapp is "tanking" I waited for buffs and checked that everyone was ready then I was off and mob diving into the first group. Within nano seconds I'm eating dirt wondering what the &*^% happened. I had my buffs, everyone was set, were my shields toggled? DOH!!
