Mine wasn't on a scrapper, or on live servers Mine happened back in issue 4 while Ish 5 was still being tested. I was logged into a lowbie TA/A defender on test server in kings row when I saw Paladin for the first time. Mind you, my char is the minimum height at the time so four foot nothing. I'm looking at this thing in awe.
As I stand there staring at Paladin I turn to my friend who's watching me play and go "Wow... he's big. He's big... he is bi...." *plink* "Uhm... Did I just fire an arrow at that thing?"
My friend: "Yup, RUN!"
I dutifully try running, but it's no use. The GM is keeping up, and is blasting me in the back regularly. Finally I tell my friend "F this" and start attacking. I actually got Paladin down by 1/4 health on my own... Then the dang thing stepped on me.

I decided to accept an invitation to a Positron task force a half hour after having 1/4 bottle of Ni-quil. Thankfully for everyone else, I wasn't the tanker.
That was the most peaceful TF I'd been on and the pink elephants were all level 1 and shot candy canes. I awoke the next morning to chirping birds and the login screen music.

um, I still level on drops 90% of the time. I don't buy any enhancements until 22 if I can avoid it.

I do that first toon on a new server, but now I just get amother toon to leave a set of lvl 15 common IOs in the base for when I hit 12.

Anyone else use an upper level alt with the rescuer badge to get lvl 11-21 Yin SOs for their new alts?

Only once, my posi runner is a perma 17 blaster, who was the right origin to take damage Yin-Os, bought enough to fit her out with 17++s until I managed to replace them with 20s off the market.

Well I have to post this one just because after all the years my SG still chuckles on this one.
We were running the Maria Jenkins arc and were on the last mission, Tyrant. We are at the last room. Mr. and Ms. Biowaste are myself and my best friend's toon. Mr. Biowaste is a stone/stone tank. He takes off down the stairs into the room and right as he is about to get into the first group hits his shileds...OFF.
He didn't do it on purpose and he did survive but it took us forever to clear that section just because the rest of us were laughing so hard that we could not fight well.
It was one of the funniest things.
Really makes for great memories and is just so darn funny.
