  1. Nice read,

but alas, another prompt I really can't think of anything particularly interesting to say without getting into woobie "I remember the day my parents were killed by Preatorian PPD" sob story.

maybe I'll think of something when I get home, or there's always next prompt.
  2. Quickly threw together a Covert Ops outfit

    [x]

Planning on making him a stalker if I can decide on a reasonable powerset, if not going with DP Defender. Always wanted to make a DP.
  3. I definitely like where this is going.

Although with my current school arrangements I don't know how "heavy" I can be besides weekends. But, I will fill out a application anyway.

And I do like the costumes that Spartan posted too.
  4. I made a power loyalist named Pulse Storm yesterday, and depending on how much I end up liking his character I would be happy to join.

^-- the above is because Praetoria's city is supposed to be the last city on Praetorian earth, which is why it's a 'utopia'. Then again, they never clarified if it WAS the last city, or ONE of the last cities.
Well, Praetoria has only be running for 25-35 years. And the Hamidon wars lasted a few years before that.

It's not impossible to have a foreign character (for a great example, a resistance crusader fought for Italy during the Hamidon wars, and is Italian)

your character just has to be old enough,
  6. Hrm, this reminds me I need to make a character I actually like roleplaying as, that's not staying in Praetoria like Jessica. *brainstorms*

    Post a Character

Wow, the F.U.S.I.O.N. pic is really cool. Could use better font though but beautifully drawn none the less.

    Post a Character

I think her name and gimmick is self-explanatory.

While someone like Batman makes for compelling fiction, the fact that he takes the law into his own hands is dangerous and problematic.

Mugger beats up Victim and leaves him in the alley. Batman sees this so he beats up Mugger and leaves him on the steps of Gotham Central.

It's the same act. The same crime. The motive is different, but motive's not an element. The mens rea and the actus reus are identical, and the fact that Batman was "enforcing" the law is irrelevant. If both go to trial, both should be convicted.

So, really, unless your alter ego is Observe-and Report Man/Woman/Dog/Bot, you're a vigilante.

And plus, in the real world if you had super powers you would either

    A) be crated to a lab to be experimented on

    or

    B) held by the government and used as a weapon ala Dr. Manhattan.

    Funny Concepts

I made a parody double agent in Praetoria.

A syndicate thats working for the Resistance, while giving the resistance info on the syndicate shes also giving the syndicate info on the resistance while working undercover in the power division and giving information about them to the resistance and the syndicate and also giving the power division information on both the resistance and syndicate. *gasps for breath*

    Very scray.
It's not slang, well, not just slang. It's code to hide their operations from PPD and Seers that some Resistance members have taken as a lifestyle.
  12. This is...amazing.

And here I thought they just made it up on the spot.

Even though my Resistance character doesn't speak Resistance it should come in handy.
  13. Agreed so bad.

And it might sound selfish but the same goes for the Resistance HQ's, that are all exactly the same. I mean, I know they are just the resistance, and sewers dont tend to vary but, I expected a little more out of at least the final one where calvin scott is located. I mean, I expected to be greeted with the largest Resistance hub with Calvin standing up on the catwalks issuing commands and inspecting troops, but I just saw the same layout as the beginner area with the leader of the resistance standing in a corner.
  14. Haven't done many tip missions, but I have to say my favorite hero tip mission so far was facing an automaton version of myself.
  15. After 15 characters I finally settled into a.....resistance character *gasp* just couldn't emotionally hold onto a loyalist character and/or find an outfit that worked.

Now currently adjusting said characters backstory to try and find the point between "enough angst for a freedom fighter" and "way too much angst"
  16. Not any existing characters specifically, but I made a mutant teen that would fit right in with the X-men,

And my peacebringer has gotten a lot of influence from the Green Lanterns, mainly because his costume is created by his powers, and he can fly and breath in space with a colored aura.

Also my main is a Peacebringer, kinda hard to make an evil twin of. Goatee or not.
  19. Not yet, but I have a few ideas for it. Just need more info about Praetoria to make it fit in well.

But I do have a character that was transported to Praetoria from our dimension, and joined the Resistance to try to get back.

In the most watered down distilled manner Loyalists are the bad guys, and the Resistance are good guys. But there's many gray areas and missions in between. To get any deeper into it would through this thread waaay off track.
  21. Can't decide, too busy spazzing out in Praetoria.

I'm so used to zones being barren except for the Atlas statue, and taking my time doing everything. That the 2000 players running around in Nova Praetora and the broadcast channel being the new trade chat, along with the feeling that Im going to have to leave this beautiful place at level 20 and I only have so much time left, and I shouldn't level to fast and enjoy the scenery that I'm too overwhelmed to let any of it sink in.
  22. Thinking about making a SS/INV tanker Clockwork that speaks in a simplified Clockwork Primer. It would be a nice change in pace.
