  1. Would adding a powerleveling AE option be a good inf sink (and I apologize if this is already an option, as I don't AE much). The idea would be that AE would give you the option to accrue experience more rapidly, but you would not earn any inf or tickets. This would be a sink in the sense that players would spend time playing but not add any inf to the system.
  2. What are your thoughts on how to respec a psy/em blaster with i19's inherent fitness and alpha slot? Do Psionic Tornado, Scramble Thoughts or Psychic Wail work in pvp? Would Assault be worth adding? How about Aid Self from the Medicine Pool? Would you choose the Cardiac Alpha Slot? My current build is heavily based on the "cheap" build posted by Psyrene several months ago.

It would benefit sellers at the expense of buyers; it would take away most of the "gamesmanship" of the marketplace; it would get rid of half the built in influence sink we currently have (which most agree is too low as it is); we would be one step closer to having purples sold in stores; and I would probably find the marketplace so boring that I would find a new game.

    But that's just me.
Wouldn't it benefit buyers rather than sellers? In the OP's example:

    Quote:
So if I list for 1 inf, and you bid 100M, you pay 50M.
The buyer ends up paying only 50% of what he bid.
  4. Void Spirit

    B Coins

With respect to the problems of inflation and lack of inf sinks, what if a Billion Inf Coin ("B Coin") could be purchased for the low low price of only 1.1 billion inf?

    1. The B Coin could be used in trades exceeding the 2 billion inf cap. And perhaps eventually be accepted at WW's for items selling at prices exceeding 2 billion inf.

    2. The 10% surcharge would be a modest inf sink.

    3. What if the coins were made collectible, e.g. limited editions with different mint dates with pictures of different heroes or AVs, that an insanely rich (or just insane) SG could mount on its walls?
  5. How will the Alpha Slot bonuses operate under the PVP rules? For example, will Musculature Core Paragon in fact give a 30% Damage bonus that is not subject to diminishing returns (plus 15% Damage bonus that is subject to diminishing returns)?
  6. I expect the week between the i19 release and the date of the second free respec to be a "respec frenzy" that will spike demand.
  7. Which will benefit more from the i19 Alpha slot?
  8. If there is room, I will bring Greymin 50 psy/em blaster.
  9. Once you've memorized a recipe, there are 2 potential traps for the unwary when you are at the workstation:

    (1) when you open up your recipes list, be sure to go to the "memorized" category and then find your recipe listed under "memorized". Otherwise, for example, even if you have memorized Damage for a level, if you go straight to the Damage category it won't count as memorized.

    (2) Also at the workstation, be sure to only click for the cost to craft, and don't click the button to buy the recipe.
  10. Nice guide. Unless Last 5, you might want to mention looking at the numbers up for sale and number of bids. As a rule of thumb, the more up for sale relative to number of bids, the more likely somebody has it listed very low in hopes of getting the next sale, and therefore starting at a low number in bid creeping is more likely to pay off.
  11. I find myself putting off level 50 IO'd builds, since I expect that the inherent health and incarnate changes will change builds a fair amount.

Are you delaying your level 50 IO'd builds until inherent health and incarnate comes out? Or are these pending changes so far in the future that for now its "business as usual" in outfitting your final level 50 builds?

How radical will be the build changes resulting from inherent health and incarnate? For example, is it foolish to invest a lot of inf to reach the soft cap, if inherent health will make reaching the soft cap easier for cheaper? Not to mention I have no idea what effects incarnate will wreak.

Will the values of any important IO's go down (or up) a lot when the inherent health or incarnate changes are released?
  12. In real life, there are expensive membership clubs. How about establishing one or more membership clubs with an in-game physical location and expensive regular membership fees? For example, the club could have a location on top of a tall building with a revolving floor with a panoramic view. The club could have one location to which members could bring guests (to show off to your less wealthy friends and SG mates), and another location available only to actual members in which the Ebillionares could hobnob in game. If this location had a trading terminal....
  13. How about "charitable causes"? Say that a finite number (e.g. 10) of charitable causes is established, and each month there is a list of the top 10 donors to that cause. What causes would inspire those of you in the wealthy elite caste to be a top 10 contributor to your selected cause? Perhaps there could be a temporary top 10 title to remind others of your generosity and wealth?

As to the badge suggestions, would this upset the serious badgers in the game, that there would be badges that they could not afford?
  14. This thread discusses ideas including servitors and billboard rentals:

    I19 Wish List??

    1. Ability to email merits and A-merits to my global name.
    2. Add hero vs. villain instanced raid with both pve and pvp elements.
  17. Compared to the last couple of months before the release of GR, the price of Alchemical Silver initially fell upon the release of GR, and is only now rising to the levels it was before the release of GR. So my guess is that the reaction that the price is now too high is from someone who "learned" the going rate in the period immediately after the release of GR.
  18. I personally found Mojo's guide for katana/willpower scrappers to be a great starting point:

    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=135036
  19. Void Spirit

    PVP raids

    Quote:
If CoX had a fun pvp minigame even with the weird mechanics of i13, people would still play.
I agree with this, especially if the minigame gave rewards. And greater participation in pvp by the player base would then make it more likely that pvp mechanic issues would be taken more seriously.
  20. Void Spirit

    PVP raids

What would it take to increase participation in PVP, and would that be a good thing?

My thought is that it could be fun if there were raid instances of an evil group vs. a good group. The instance would include PVE mobs and objectives, so that neither side could focus exclusively on PVP, with the goal that the raid would be fun for PVE builds as well as dedicated PVP builds. To reach a critical mass of participants, there could be merits or A-merits, and of course the chance for PVP drops.

    Fun? Achievable? Other ideas?
  21. If there is room, I will bring Greymin psy/em blaster.
  22. I plan on bringing Void Spirit lvl 50 kat/wp scrapper.
  23. How does a Fortunata compare to a mind/psy dominator?
  24. If there is room, I will plan on bringing Greymin psi/em blaster.
