The in-game text interchanges ED (enhancement diversification) and DR (diminishing returns). What that means is a portion of the bonus ignores ED, though the final total will still be subject to the same DR curve. You might do a little more damage than someone without that alpha ability, but especially in light of DR there are better things to slot.
