pending inherent health and incarnate
I'm not delaying any of my builds unless the changes would be very expensive (= PvP IOs). I do plan them with inherent Fitness in mind, though.

I don't know enough about how the Incarnate System is going to work in it's final form, so there's no good way for me to plan for it. Just sitting around and waiting isn't really my style either, and if it comes down to it I'll just slot over IO's like I normally do. Not having an optimized character just means I get to play it longer, so it's not really a big deal for me to do that.
I've already made new builds for about 80% of my characters in anticipation for the Inherent Fitness changes. Most of them are still fairly similiar and shouldn't require much IO "replacement." They've all gained such awesome levels of POWER that I wouldn't want to leave them the same way anyway.
Delaying for Incarnates? No.
Delaying for inherent Fitness? Quite a few. (Of course, some I have staminaless builds already. The ones that are going to be a little irksome are those with, say, just Swift/Hurdle and/or Health, but no Stamina yet. Those need to get redone.)
Are you delaying your level 50 IO'd builds until inherent health and incarnate comes out? Or are these pending changes so far in the future that for now its "business as usual" in outfitting your final level 50 builds? |
How radical will be the build changes resulting from inherent health and incarnate? For example, is it foolish to invest a lot of inf to reach the soft cap, if inherent health will make reaching the soft cap easier for cheaper? Not to mention I have no idea what effects incarnate will wreak. |
Just plan on being flexible.
Will the values of any important IO's go down (or up) a lot when the inherent health or incarnate changes are released? |
Hint: think about what YOU would do if you could grab any three powers from an existing pool set that you don't usually take (like Presence, Leadership or Concealment) and 1-2 slot them with expensive Uniques. What would you slot them with?
I'm actually waiting to start quite a few characters until inherent stamina gets here. I'm not too fond of the <20 game due to endurance issues, so I'm waiting til I19 to start a few characters in the hopes that they'll be more fun then.
No.
In most cases, the only changes to my builds will be through addition. I may change the order of my picks, but the end result of most of them will be the same. Since most of the time my respecs are freespecs, its just a matter of using something now that will be replaced later.

For the characters I am currently actively playing, I am going forward with their builds as if the upcoming changes were not coming. Then when the time comes, I will do a new plan and respec. Also, mine tend to be level 25 builds for the most part, since I start IOing at 22 with level 25 enhancers instead of waiting until the character is pretty much finished. (More bang for the buck with level 25s, since the bonuses are good all the way down to 22 as opposed to losing them when exemped below 47 if using 50s).
As for what IOs drop in value? Well, I'm hoping Stealths take a plunge due to many more people being able to fit in the Concealment Pool

I'm not worring about it. What's one or two more respecs when I most likely will be having to do 25 or more already

Doubtful. While stealth powers most assuredly will be picked as spots to drop LotGs, the utility of a Celerity+ Superspeed or dropping one in Sprint is always going to trump the fiddlyness of the stealth pool.
|
... okay so I don't see +Stealth IO's dropping in price either. I think (hope?) more people will pick up Leadership than Concealment.
I've already used freespecs on two characters to try Fitness-free builds just to see how I like certain powerset and power pool choices that I'll be able to readily make post-i19. I'll just eat blues like M&M's for now and use another freespec to fix it if needed when i19 drops.

So really I'm mostly playing those characters which are pretty much "done" anyway, two early 40s ones, but I really want to play the lower level ones as well.
I'm not really letting the upcoming Fitness/Incarnate changes stop too many of my respec/build plans. I don't actually respec much regardless. I'll probably only tinker with a few of my existing builds to account for those updates anyway.
Obviously any new characters I make from now on will be done with Inherent Fitness in mind, but I wouldn't say that waiting for it is keeping me from doing anything I want to do today. I'm not the type of player who creates new alts every other day anyway. *shrugs*

I'm still doing my builds for level 50 characters as normal. Especially if they need tweaked and I haven't used the freespec yet. Since we are going to be getting a freespec for sure when Fitness becomes inherent, I want to make sure to use the ones I'm sitting on still.

I'm hearing plenty of folks talking about 1-20 content being better with inherent Fitness powers. But just because a power is inherent, doesn't mean it's usable from lvl 1. Khelds have inherent powers that unlock later. Heck, even the Pocket D transporter doesn't unlock till lvl 3. So, it's perfectly plausible that the tier 1 & 2 Fitness powers unlock at lvl 6, Health at 14, and Stamina at 20, which wouldn't change the lvl 1-20 content much, except that we'd have more powers from our primary and secondary.
So, do we have official word on how exactly the inherent Fitness will work? When the powers become active? If there was official word, can ya please link it? If I find it before anyone else links, I'll edit this post to add it in.
I find myself putting off level 50 IO'd builds, since I expect that the inherent health and incarnate changes will change builds a fair amount.
