Chocolate Bacon... mmmmmmm
Can I have GR tomorrow? I have a serious illness: Addiction to chocolate Bacon. I could die in 3 days! Please help! -
Sustained... it's easily Fire/Kin or Fire/Rad. Fire/Rad is probably a tad better for sustained Vs. AVs but Kin Vs. everything else.

Once Going Rogue comes out you won't be able to tell the difference between a Corruptor and Defender. A Corruptor will have Scourge but it's still based off of Lethal damage so it's not miles ahead of Defender damage.
Defenders get a higher buff multiplier (their buffs are tougher) so thats a better incentive to me, expecially in Trick Arrow's case. A set that really feels the effects of those numbers more than others.
Also, Archery has plenty of fast attacks so your attack chain won't be much of a problem early on. But Scourge does make a difference while soloing. It could really make aor break a fight solo since you don't have a heal. (Curse you Devs for not making healing arrow!) -
Claws/Elec does very well. You will have many powers left over because with that extra recharge, there are few attacks needed to make a full attack chain. This will allow you to more easily take Tough/Weave along with a Travel Power.
Just remember that the majority of your damage is Lethal. This can cause problems later on Vs. lethal resistant enemies. -
Scrapper multiplier is higher. Thus, they do more damage. Some people will attmept to bring up fury but even at 50 Fury (100% enhanced damage), Brutes will only be doing a small margin more damage than scrappers. That's not including any buffs, critical hits, or fury fluxuations.
Scrappers sit at 1.125
Brutes sit at 0.75
So, lets assume both classes are about to use a 100 damage attack.
Scrappers will do 100x1.125=112.5 damage
Brutes will do 100x0.75=75 damage.
Now let's assume the brute is at 50 fury (100% enhanced damage).
100x0.75x2= 150 damage
Thats not a whole lot more.
Now let's assume that both are on the same team and theres a kinetic in the group. The Kinetic is giving everybody 100% enhanced damage. Both the Scrapper and the Brute (Who is still at 50 Fury) are getting a 100% damage boost.
100x1.125x2=225 Scrapper damage is 225
100x0.75x2(fury)x2(kinetics)=300 Brute Damage is now 300
Now, as you can see the Brute is still doing more damage but theres a problem. The scrapper still has that 5-15% chance to crit and benefited a lot more from that 100% damage increase due to his higher multiplier. Also, The Brute may or may not be at 50 fury. It's difficult for a Brute to get a large sum of fury if he isn't tanking. If there is a Tanker on the team, then the Brute possibly will not have 50 fury at all times. He may only be able to get to 20-30 depending on multiple factors, expecially if he's even being targeted by enemies.
TLR The Brute's damage fluxuates and thus, isn't reliable. The Scrapper is able to consistantly deal out a large sum of damage without the aid of fury buildup. Thus his damage will outshine the Brute's early in a fight (When the Brute has low fury) but will eventually be eclipsed by the Brute if and only if the Brute can keep a steady income of Fury.

Kinetics does so provide good suriveability.
People forget that every Siphon Power reduces the enemy's damage by 25%. Siphon Speed also reduces the enemy's recharge by (I think 25%). So when it comes down to single targets. Kinetics is able to debuff them by a heafty sum. Infact, you -can- stack 2 Siphon Power drains on a Single Target so their damage is now 56%. Not 50%, 56% due to multiplication and evil math.
Fulcrum shift does the same thing only to a whole group of enemies. Don't forget Repel and Transfusion too. -

Whoever has the Veteran powers and woever spent the msot on his build. I don't mean to be a downer, but it's the truth. PvP really isn't decided off of skill. It's decided off of luck and money.
-
I've played an Elec/Dark corruptor and it's BORING. Dark is fine but Electric just feels like it's missing something. I wouldn't say it's the third single target attack. I'd say it's how Short Circuit is next to useless. It doesn't do near enough damage and endurance sapping is only good if your 100% dedicated to it.
If your going for a thematic approach then it doesn't matter.
If your going for a more optimal approach then go for Ice Blast. Tar Patch and Ice Storm make a deadly combo. -
I love you. Thank you so much.

A more casual way to make an easy 100 million is to just do TFs until you get enough merits to buy a Luck of the Gambler: +Recharge IO. On my server they sell for over 100 million.
Getting a team together to do TFs shouldn't be a problem. It's easy exp, money, everything. You don't have to be a hardcore-nolife farmer to do it. -
Kinetics. It provides you with -everything-
Heal? Check
Damage boost? Check
Recharge Boost? Check
Travel Power? Check
Endurance Recharge? Check -
If anything, It would be a Force Field user.
Since the set relies on Regen, it really enjoys not being hit at all. It already has Resistance to everything. So it would be more beneficial to add Defense on top of that.
But Willpower honestly enjoys all types of extra help since it doesn't focus on any particular area besides HP. -
ah ok. all of the texture replacements are in the 'data' folder so everything is ready to go then eh?
Thank you!
It's so easy my super massive brain over complicated it.. -
So i've just downloaded a lovely addon that replaces and updates all of the power icons on my power tray. (yay shiny!). Problem is, is that I have no idea how to install this thing onto City of Heroes.
I knew how to do it in WoW. I knew how to do it for Oblivion. But it seems like I'm just not smart enough to figure out how to install this file into my City of Heroes' folder properly.
If it's as simple as placing teh folder into the City of Heroes folder then thats just swell. But it seems like it would have to replace the old icons naturally.. -
Things that can't replace Serum with positive results:

If you were a Kin/ I'd say 'button mashing' is normal (we're all speed addicts..) but as an Emp, it shouldn't be that common. But play how ever you want.
3 Cheers for us Defenders.
Because we're better than you*.
*Tankers, Scrappers, Blasters, Controllers, Peacebringers, Warshades, Brutes, Stalkers, Corruptors, Masterminds, Widows, Spiders and Dominators. -
I feel that Stalkers are 1 trick ponies. Assassin Strike, Placate, Assassin Strike then play like a Scrapper. I like Stalkers, I really do. But they aren't up to par with Scrappers or Brutes. They don't have to have the damage out put of Scrappers or Brutes but they sure do need something to make up for that fact. The +3% critical for each ally is very cool and all but it's still crit chance. Which makes it unreliable and it doesn't improve Assassin Strike damage, just out-of-stealth attacks.

Editting this because I'm stupid and shouldn't have posted here.

top ten things I want:
10: New animations for older powersets.
9: 'Peaceshade' and 'Warbringer'. Merge the Kheldians
8: /em Breakdance
7: Removal of Stamina. Global endurance reduction of all powers.
6: Free Travel power at level 8. No more wasted power slots.
7: End Game content
6: Less monotinous soloing content
5: Costume colors that change color in combat. (Blue armor that changes red when entering combat for example)
4: 100% proliferation. Ice armor for brutes, Thermal Radiatino for Defenders, etc.
3: More Explosions
2: Less crowded 8-man team experience
1: Water-based powersets.
0: The actual implication of my top 10... -
Poison would be pretty neat. Tier 9 would simply become a Friendly Target AoE.
I doubt Defenders would ever get Poison but on Corruptors? Sure.
Proliferation is never bad. -
how to play traps:
1. Keep FFG up
2. Web Grenade bosses (-50% Recharge is awesome)
3. Acid mortar everything
4. Don't take Time Bomb (seriously..)
5. Caltrops when burn or other like effects are on the ground
6. The Triangle Beacon of death WILL DESTROY ALL MANKIND!!!
8. Pretend like your secondary actually does a decent percentile of the entire teams damage and just blast away thinking that your dealing "Good Damage"
9. Ignore the fact that I skipped 7. -

if we do get a single player mode it would have to be a 100% new game technically. a single player mode for example can't do a hami raid, thus, it would be wise just to cut it out of the game. Same can be said with certain if not most TF/SFs (for casual play). So, if we do see a single player mode, the game would have to be, essentially 100% reworked around the concept of only 1 player (or possibly 2 or whatever the cap is)

i got a question, I'f I use provoke then pop my pretty PFF, does the taunt effec still there?
