    I don't know what level of 'skill' you'd have to possess to be able to prevent someone from running the 50 yards between the beach and the safe zone every time they risk reaching 50% health. That's part of why I dislike fighting so close to Nub Beach, but you have to go where the people are if you want to PvP.

    If you don't fight near the safe zone then you don't have the problem. If they never leave the proximity of the safe zone then they won't accomplish much beyond earning the "time in zone"-badge.

    If you do then make sure you have KB, Immob, Hold, Disorient, Teleport Foe or enough damage to alpha anyone.

    The only changes I'd make to the last build would be replacing Punch with Jab for faster Fury and getting Grounded earlier, likely at the expense of Lightning Field.

    Otherwise a solid build that can contribute more than enough.

    TO me that reads as a variation of "Stand still, turn your toggles off and don't attack so I can kill you".

    Unless it has been fixed the Defender version deals as much damage as the Blaster version.

    And it's useful for Blasters who want added dps. It's also perma with a single recharge.

    I'd switch Hover/Fly for TFoe at 30 and Hover or Auto Turret at 38.

    TFoe + Trip Mine(s) works extremely well in both PvE and PvP. Slow to set up, but usually results in a kill on the alpha strike if done properly.

    TD let's you slot 3 Dam, 3 Rech in your attacks (or 3 Dam/2 Rech/1 Acc for PvP) and still hit as well as those who slot 3 Dam/2 Rech/1 Acc. You could also go with fewer slots in your attacks or endurance reduction.

    TD does help improve damage, but not directly.

  8. Katana should be able to get a higher damage Build Up cycle if paired with Hasten. That way you can fit in 2 GD during BU while Broadsword is limited to 2 Disembowel. It should result in slightly higher damage.

    If an attack starts executing while BU is active then it will get the bonus even if BU expires before the damage is dealt.
  9. Do go ahead and make a Katana Scrapper and try Golden Dragonfly against even level mobs when you hit 32.

    You will not be able to deal 432 damage with GD to even level mobs at 32 without damage buffs of some sort or heavy resistance debuffing of the mob. GD just doesn't deal that kind of damage.

    Most likely it was against a very low level mob (level 1 or 2) or he had buffs already that you didn't see.

    Charged Bolts (minor damage), 3 slotted for damage, does some 385 damage at level 33... When used against a level 7 mob that is weak to energy. Big numbers are easy to produce for a high level character.

    Golden Dragonfly is NOT a PBAoE, it's a narrow cone just like Headsplitter.

    In fact, it's the Katana version of Headsplitter with slightly faster animation and recharge, lower end cost and damage.
  11. The downloadable Prima guide thing (which uses numbers supplied by the devs) lists the Maneuvers at 13.6% +Def, Assault at 5% +Dam and Tactics at 2.5% +ToHit.

    You can't improve the +Dam Buff from Assault and the ToHit Buff from Tactics is negligible.
  12. I'd move the EndRed in CJ, Tough and Int to Soaring, Golden and Lotus. You should save more endurance while fighting that way. CJ in particular is not worthy of endurance reduction slotting.

    When not fighting your endurance recovery is not that important as long as it's positive.

    Try

    That will put

    You won't be exemplared until you're level 16 or higher.

    A level 15 will still gain xp.
  15. No self heal or +Def in the set.

    Both are major holes that decrease survivability without outside assistance.

    Well as far as i can tell when i look all the missions : we have 10 missions, 3 defeat all, some hacking computer, one to go and see Ms Liberty, 2 defeat chief... Think we could make it in 3 hours if we do that well and start at 8pm and not after...

    Two hours should be possible if everything goes as planned and we cut some corners on missions (defeat boss = only defeat boss & room, glowie = only glowie hunt).

    Three hours is possible if we work well together. The first mission should help us get a picture of how it will go.

    The Tanker damage auras do have a Taunt component, though they've only had it since Gauntlet was added.

    Invinc has always had a Taunt component. Always. Even during US beta. Why it isn't mentioned ingame, on some site or in a planner app is not known, but lazyness and/or lack of knowledge is likely the cause.

    Trip Mine + Teleport Foe is a very safe way of soloing. Slow but safe.

    Trip Mines in a PUG should be used to either cover an escape route or as an additional AoE if you can avoid getting hit.

    Immobilizes will not stop an enemy from attacking, they only prevent movement. Almost every mob has a ranged attack. Fire Cages is still useful for setting up Containment damage later on.

    The ToHit DeBuff from Smoke is not enough to make a significant impact in damage taken once combat has started. Instead, think of it as a reverse Stealth.

    Char, Flashfire and Cinders will stop enemies from attacking.

    Whether it's a native EB or an AV->EB, unlike mezzes. You don't need much more of a win button than that.
