Dark/Elec
Well, I'd suggest you get SS+TP as travel power combo. SS comes with hasten (O RLY?), and stacks with shadow fall for invis, while TP provides vertical aspect, and recall friend can be used to position DS next to mobs to fully benefit from it's aura.
Looking at what powers we can pick after getting those 4, three epic powers and stamina, I'd go for:
Twilight Grasp
Tar Patch
DN
Shadow Fall
Fearsome Stare
PG
DS
Charged bolts
Ball lightning
Short circuit
aim
tesla cage
thunderous blast
Howling twilights/zapp
Cheers MaX, will look at putting a build together later. I like the idea of positioning DS, though I don't know as I'd want to skip on VS (even if it's not that special and is only up for part of the time, would save me a lot of shooting-stuff-endurance) - Two of my charactrers have hit fifty with SS only, so may just take recall friend and skip TP itself to grab the sentinel.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with sentinel, AFAIK it's not that great of a power.
Rad has a much larger acc debuff than dark, so you will get hit more (albeit for less damage). You also won't be hitting them as often as you'll be missing the defence debuff of Rad too.
I started a dark/elec offender to see what it was like and took him to level 12. I could take on even level groups in the hollows but only with the help of a few insps usually.

Unless it has been fixed the Defender version deals as much damage as the Blaster version.
And it's useful for Blasters who want added dps. It's also perma with a single recharge.
I like VS. If you're going to be taking time to kill a spawn then it's very good damage per unit endurance and easily up all the time. You also don't have to slot accuracy as it seems to have 200% base. It fires rapidly, every 2-3 seconds and does roughly charged bolts damage, until the timer runs out.
If you're going to be mainly AoEing large spawns of minions/lieuts then it's probably not worth taking.
Righty, MaX's post in another thread has charged me to resurrect my Dark def (Cap'n Wilfbeard) in a new guise, with /elec behind it. I'm sure I'm not unique in this (since it gets two pseudo-pets) but I'm more or less new to both dark and elec (at least, post-20).
I can see it'll be powerful solo - at the moment, my rad/elec prowls hazard zones (Perez is a good'un) casts RI on a mob, bundles in and drops Ball Lightning and Short Circuit til they all fall over, and has been levelling at a silly rate. In theory, Dark will be better at this with a more powerful acc debuff, and tar patch to hold them in place and lower their res (plus shadow fall, for enhanced survivies and stealth to get close enough to drop darkest night before they notices us).
Is there anything I should know before embarking on a life of herdings?
