Here is a little something I slapped together real fast that should help any end problems you may have. Instead of leader I went stealth, its all in playstyle I suppose. I just like having that just in case ability to phase if need be. Has 200% recovery and 43 KB protection. Anyway, GL getting your build lined out :-)

I can in no way understand prices as they are now. I remember when a purple recipe would run you 35-50 mil and thinking WTF!! I am gonna have to farm for 4 days straight just to get ONE recipe. I also remember when PvP IOs were going for the same. Thankfully I bought quite a few when they were sub 100 mil and my toons love me for it..... cause there is NO WAY I could afford a whole set of Panacea at 500 mill a recipe. I am in total agreement with the whole market merger. That would solve soooooo many issues IMO. Unfortunately, we will likely never see such a thing. Maybe, just maybe, Going Rogue will in some way give merger a chance......... I doubt it though.
And as far as PvP drops........ all I do is PvP and I have only ever gotten 3 drops myself. -
This is my very first experience with using /regen on a scrapper. I really appreciate the advice. This will allow me to free up several slots for other things as I have quite a few KB IOs worked into my mids build. Thanks again for the info everyone!

I personally have 5 fire attacks on my Fire/Dev. The toon is very effective and fun to play. I honestly do only use the 2 main ones (Flares and Fireblast) 85% of the time, but the other attacks come in handy to fill in a chain if your recharge is in the low 100s or less, plus you can get some nice bonuses out of slotting AND still be competent in PvE. I really think fly is useless, but everyone has an opinion. IF you choose to retain flight, I would suggest picking up Blazing Bolt cause that will basically be your purpose in a zone. Also, without SS, if you get webnaded (which you will) you are toast with flight. My toon uses SS,SJ,Fitness, and medicine. Being devices you can get decent perception out of target drone plus the perc proc, but if you are zone mostly and arena rarely, I would go leader instead of medicine. BUT, considering you are in SC you will be left without the epic heal if I am not mistaken so it is just up to personal preference on that front. Mine is arena more than zone, hence the choice of medicine (which has saved my butt on more than one occasion.....). Also, I have taser (don't laugh) but if I were to spec for zone, I would possibly swap it for caltrops. Although, I don't know how many times taser has saved my butt in duels AND in zone by dropping toggles if nothing else. It actually stuns squishys rather decently, but dont expect to stun a brute or scrapper for any extended length of time. Dont waste your time with the mines or gun drone IMO. This is just my experience with Fire/Dev, which I love dearly. Anyone else out there with a /dev might chime in to offer up some advice.

Getting amped up to build my Fire/Regen scrapper. Well, I was just curious how much additional KB I need on top of integration to be effective. Getting all I want out of the build AND fitting in KB IOs is becoming a PITA, but I am sure I need several to work well. What magnitude KB am I looking for?

Ill/rad is extremely good for dueling with. Zone, not so much, but still does fine. My ill is one of my favorite toons to PvP with and even on my last PvP respec (still around late i13, gonna respec again soon) still does great in PvE for TFs and such. Psychic mastery was THE epic to have prior to i13, afterward its garbage IMO. If you are an aggressive PvPer and like to press your attack, grab stone mastery. I am VERY happy with it. You have a heal so you can match it to phase with great results. On the other hand if you are a bit more stand off ish and defensive go Ice. A bit less strategy involved in clicking Hiber and you leave yourself open to grab a few more primary powers. Either one would be a good choice, you will just get a better attack chain going with stone. Rad is not NEAR what it used to be, but still does really good especially in arena duels.

I am really considering transfering one of my PvP toons over just to see the difference I always hear about. I LOVE Victory and there are some wonderful people on that server, but it is soooo hard to find PvP when I am online. There is the PvPEC once a week, but it is up and down....... and since pretty much any PvE related activity I do is geared toward something PvP, it would only seem natural to chance a transfer. Maybe even slowly transfer over a toon here and a toon there. I have alot of Pvp toons that could be used. Anyway, I hope to see a few of you on the freedom server real soon.

A quick question....... fear being on a different timer, is that fear in general? Or just blaster fear?. I might need to respec my mind storm........ sigh..... yet again lol. As far as blasters go, I have a Fire/Dev and Psy/EM both respectively IOd and I really prefer to play the Fire/Dev. ALOT more fun for sure. Placate proc does have /win written all over it though........ I am still getting ready to respec my Fire/Dev again :-). More procs plz!!

OK, took long enough. Here is a build I threw together. Not 100% sure what powers I absolutely needed and didn't so feel free to tell me where I am wrong and what I might need. I am quite sure this build sucks in a few spots, but I have limited PvP experience with /regen. This will primarily be a duel build, so i had considered swapping fighting for maybe conceal or leader and possibly swapping my epic for body or mastery. That was my origional intention. I also had considered body for LBE and Target Drain..... er drone ;-P. I will be doing alot of arena combat and dueling with it, but plan to frequent RV as well. What in weapons is comparable to LBE? I must have some ranged somewhere. I will whip up a quick build in a few and have you guys look it over/critique it for me if you would be so kind :-). Since this will be my primary scrapper (and our SG ladder isn't Fiteklub per say, it is actually a huge range of ATs...... a few trollers, blasters, scrapps, brutes etc......) I intend on going pretty big with the build...... have alot of stuff spread across my accts blueside and I am going to finish stripping my BS/WP scrapper of all the goodies. Basically it has been a while since I went big with a PvP build, so this toon blue and my elec/therm red are going to have as little corner cutting as possible. Anyway, I will post up an example build shorty.

I currently run +4/X8 with bosses on my heavily IOd elec/shield.

I have a fire/psy farmer for my secondary acct and a elec/shield brute for my primary as far as redside farmers go. Until I16 I mostly prefered to use my dom due to the way you could set up AE LT farms. Now with I16 wrecking farming, or making it much more difficult anyway, I prefer the brute. Either can be utilized well, just have to eat more insp on the dom than previously. At this point, if I HAD to pick one or the other, brutes would be the winner.

Wow, very useful info. I didn't realize that FS was auto hit from 60FT!!!! sigh...... time for a respec on my elec/kin........ although I am in the process of building my elec/therm...... I can attest to the fact that /kin can drain end rather quickly. Very fun/challenging to play in a duel, but be prepared to be the main target when people in RV find out what you are lol

I almost rolled an elec/regen, but decided against it due to the fact that fire is proven. Also, I have several elec toons and no Fire so I was trying to get a new powerset into the stable :-). I was just hoping I could get some build advice for the FM/regen combo is all :-)

Like I was saying, I am not "insisting" on a build. This was just a random example of an elec/therm build I slapped together. I am just trying to get advice from people who have had experience with the powerset and PvPing with them to aid in slotting and power choices. Obviously I would work in my own playstyle in the final build, I am just trying to get several ideas is all. I am not afraid to ask for help :-). Soooo.... AHEM, builds please guys ;-P

Well, considering I have the majority of these IOs here and there across my accts, it would be a shame to waste them and go cheap. I completely agree with the fact that cheap builds can be very effective, but the help I was looking for wasn't nessecarily financial ;-P. I am looking for suggestions on slotting, powers........ and if cheaper IOs would benefit me more than what I have, I would love to here that as well :-). Like i said, I just threw this together. Literally, about 5 min before I posted lol. Just using this as an example and for the sake of ways to improve.

Here is something I threw together real fast for my duel build. As far as a zone build, of course I think I would want to grab cauterize and/or possibly forge...... maybe instead of one of my attacks. Since I will primalrily duel, I think if I am teaming in a zone most of my teamies would be happy with just my debuffs and warmth when close. Since a toon with no end can attack anyway :-). Anyway, take a look and tell me what you guys think........ and I am not in any way attempting to thread jack, just add to it ;-).

Hey guys! I was wondering if anybody had the time, or one laying around, maybe someone could post up a good FM/regen build. I FINALLY got around to rolling a toon to replace my BS/WP (uber nerfd) as my PvP scrapper. Mostly dueling in this ones future, as I am going to eventually spec my spines/regen for zone. Anyway, I look forward to your replies!

Wow, talk about timing! Being short on time this week, my intention was to drop in, ask for a good elec/therm build and zip out, checking back tomorrow to see what had been posted. Good thing someone is ahead of me......... kinda. If anybody gets a chance, would you mind posting your build or just a build so I can get a few ideas as to what the best route would be as far as powere choices? I am good with slotting usually, but want to make sure I grab the most beneficial powers. I was thinking personally of going GW for the PB and SS, and snagging stealth pool. I duel with my SG/zone PvP 65/35%..... although I will be trying to frequent the zones a bit more since I have decided to start dabbling in redside pvp. Anyway, thanks for your time and i look forward to some great builds....... hopefully. I should get time tomorrow to post my build i worked up on mids.

AWESOME letter!! I agree mostly with the part that it did not end up on a devs desk. Delete is likely what happened. It is really a shame man. In the future, after this game is long gone, maybe developers for generations of games to come can take queues from this game on how to destroy something great and fun LISTEN TO YOUR PLAYERBASE PEOPLE!!! -
I was afraid of this...... I have a 50 ill/storms troller I was considering picking up TP foe for. It was gonna be a fun toon to use to duel with and I was going to use TP foe to drop them into a patch of death...... tornado/lightning storm/snowstorm/phantom army/phantasm. That would have made for a priceless look on someones face. Ahh well........... another toon fades to the back hehe

So fire is still decent then? I have a BS/WP scrapper and thought BS was a little weak due to rech and animation times. I had it speced for PvP with almost identical setup as a friend of mine on his Kat/WP and we were so close it came down to who critted first. He usually wound up winning cause they buffed Kat and he was dealing almost as much damage as me just faster.
