That said, I think if a good kin teamed up with a good therm, some opponents would get very annoyed.
With kin, you also get one extra power pool, since you don't need leaping, necessarily.
The buffs are fairly useless, sucking endurance is useless without reliable -recovery powers, and the -damage isn't really that big.

sucking end can be somewhat useless without a good -recovery power, but when im fighting someone and a ele/kin gets rid of all my end and my toggles drop, the time it takes to put them all back on is too great and i would usually die.

While not as good as HE by any stretch of the imagination, if you keep telsa cage (slotted for end mod) on someone all the time it will put a big hurt on recovery, then of course you could also use short circuit. It feels like the actual end drain from transference has been hit a fair bit by DR, still workable though. Wouldnt bother about the buffs myself as things stand.

Telsa slotted for end mod is -3.23 end/sec
HE is -4.58 end/sec
You keep telsa on someone (it only lasts 8 seconds) and keep hitting them with transference and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that doesn't have end issues. Not anyone that would be able to take that, but still have trouble with HE at any rate.
It's the plan I have for my elec/kin. Adding soul for Powerboost and it should drain people a lot faster than /therm, though /kin is a lot more challenging to play.
OP: you still want leaping, acro for hold resistance and the kb protection. Speedboost is still a useful +recovery buff because everyone plays a /therm now...so it can help.
Slot soulstorm as an attack and use it in place of the heavy hitter elec lacks. A bit unconventional, but don't be afraid of taking and using fulcrum shift. Don't worry about actually hitting with it or being close. It is auto 40% dam buff from 60ft away. So it's like running around with perma aim +dam going.
Wow, very useful info. I didn't realize that FS was auto hit from 60FT!!!! sigh...... time for a respec on my elec/kin........ although I am in the process of building my elec/therm...... I can attest to the fact that /kin can drain end rather quickly. Very fun/challenging to play in a duel, but be prepared to be the main target when people in RV find out what you are lol

No. You just dont pick fights with more than 1 person. That 1 person should not know whats going on and he should not be able to kb or mez you or a combo of them both. Your best bet is to pb transference> tesla cage and run like a rabbit until you can repeat that combo.

Just put in as much recharge you can afford. I have enough that i can get transference off twice before pb wears off. Completely floors end in secs. It's nasty to fight a guy in my sg has one too. Not much can compete with it in rv in a duel.

The way i see a match going is this. First part of match Geas...your not going to drain them. After that wears off hit demonic...they are going to have a hell of time landing heal and trans. All that time the blaster is wrecking you with his range attacks staying out of melee range. Mitigation kicks in and your probaly by that time not even attacking..more like running like hell, and "trying" to spam trans. In which you have to get in melee range for, most doms and blasters have some pretty wicked Melee attacks, so those are going to hurt like hell. All im saying is that...kins are lolz now.
How often do you get that 1v1 match up in zone, lol. Nobody in there right mind is going to duel on a elec/kin, cause pretty much all your going to see in duels are doms, elec/therms, and blasters. I want to see a elec/kin beat a blaster ( a blaster that knows what the hell he's doing) tbh i dont think it's even possible. But hey musey you should roll a elec/kin and prove me wrong. I bet you cant even beat my lolz ice/em blaster jk jkjkjk. But serioulsy i would like to hear from any elec/kins that read the fourms and get there input on how well they do againt blasters/doms. I just don't see it happening.

The reason I suggest elec/kin instead of elec/Therm is because transference would be up more often than Heat Exhaustion and because siphon speed would be up often enough to give a major recharge debuff
I realize therm would still probably be better because of the shields, forge, and heals but it's nice not to have a FoTM build sometimes
