The biggest problem power is the Lightning Fist AoE one. If you avoid that, and use Hand Clap sparingly, you should be okay.

Absorb is a rather new mechanic that no current powersets use. However, Nature Affinity and Bio Armor will use it.
Basically, Absorb creates an "HP Shield" that gets used up before your actual health. -
I've never liked AOTS... the stupid "eye-candy" rotating babe killed it for me. No reason she should be there at all. And Kevin is spectacularly unfunny most of the time.
And with Adam not on X-Play there truly is no reason to watch G4 at all. I miss Adam. -

I can assure you that -I- only pick Lore based on theme. I snagged Polar Lights way before anyone thought they were good at anything... and I picked Cimerorans only because they fit the theme of time travel, in fact... I picked them -in spite- of the fact that they have good numbers and folks might mistake me for someone who cares about that stuff. I almost didn't pick them specifically for the fact that they -do- have good numbers.
-
I was pretty sure that it was Untyped at some point... which is why when they made it Toxic they couldn't create a Toxic Defense stat... and why it's resistance was added rather haphazardly into the various +HP powers like [Dull Pain].

Maybe they should rename Zukubnft to Future now?

Quote:Wow... don't know where my mind is! When I read this, I saw the "b" in the underlined word as a "t" and was like "Where the hell did he come up with THAT costume piece... and please let me hope that is a mistype!"Also, seriously. Look at some of that concept art from the Post-Apocalyptic set: I like that headband on the second guy on the bottom row, the skull chest belt on the first guy on the bottom row, and of course, the bionic bits.
But, then I saw what it really said and laughed, and sighed in relief. -
This is the principle reason I pick a give Lore Tree.
For my Grav/FF I went with Polar Lights to sorta be mini-Singys.
For my Elec/Nin Stalker who uses a bunch of gadgets, Robotic Drones.
For my Ice/Ice Mender of Ouroboros: Cimerorans.
For my ex-Skull Thugs/FF MM, I was not at all sure what to get, but settled on Storm Elementals to go with that Dark Theme that Bone Daddies in the Skulls have.
For my extra-dimensional cosmic horror Claws/Dark Brute I went with Rularuu for that "even more strange" aspect.
And I have no clue what to go with for my Invuln/SS Tank whose powers are mutant in nature and tied to his ability to secrete "bio-metal." -
Quote:That's not 100% accurate Agge.If someone's on your league that's never done the trial, the cutscenes are triggered. If everyone's successfully completed the trial, the cutscenes are not triggered. If you're seeing the cutscene, it's because someone on the trial hasn't seen it yet. Don't be a booger.
Only cutscenes that play PRIOR to a trial will be skipped, BAF, Lambda, Keyes. All the rest occur in the middle of things and will play no matter what. -
Quote:It -is- a choice though. You can run one Magi trial when it launches... one the next week... one a month from then, and then 2 in one night 5 days later. BOOM! You have Hybrid unlocked on one of your characters. You have NO CHOICE except to run the Magistarium trial all day and all night, since it's the only way to unlock the Hybrid slot.
You ask that question like it's a choice.
There is no reason whatsoever to blast Magi trials as if there is nothing else to do in this game, because, well, there -is- other stuff to do. And the only trial where the difficulty is such that Hybrid will come in handy, is, well, the trial you have to do to unlock it. -
Quote:Nopers, it's pretty much a totally new TF, same basic plotline though.I don't know if anyone knows for certain, but I'd wager it'll be virtually identical (including the reward value) as the Sis Psy. Probably just some of the contact text will be changed.
That said, I wouldn't be annoyed at all of it was a total redux, like the PTF got a while back, and the old Sis Psy was available via Ouroborous. -

I accepted your dare... Cap musta just gotten outta a really cold pool or something... not to mention how even more bizarre the rest of him looks.

Two things:
- Looks like Hybrid did a back step compared to what's on Beta
- I still think the TUNNEL portals go to far too many places (travel can still be streamlined a bit, yes, but it is redundant to go to multiple places in the same dimension through them with Trams and Ouro). I also don't see a reason why a separate portal to DA still exists in GV and PI when TUNNEL exists rather close to them. Remove the additional portals to DA since the ones on the inside of DA to just those places are being removed/changed. Also, instead of Portal Corp. being involved, change them out for Vanguard Science Operatives or somesuch. I propose:
- Heroes: Imperial City, Underground Imperial, First Ward, Talos Island (eliminate portal there to First Ward), Peregrine Island (eliminate portal there to DA), Firebase Zulu, Rikti War Zone, and Dark Astoria.
- Villains: Imperial City, Underground Imperial, Cap Au Diable (eliminate portal there to First Ward), First Ward, Grandville (eliminate portal there to DA), Rikti War Zone, and Dark Astoria.

Quote:Ummmm, that's where the data on the PWiki link I posted came from... AND it links to that post. So, I guess you could say that your post was... redundant.

This is a long-standing request, and one I fully support.
However, there are either 0 or very few Nodes (attachment points) left on the player skeleton, so those details would have to be tied to another detail... like belts (i.e. how Longbow have extra pouches attached to their Stealth-style belts) or Legs like how an additional pad can be added to a Clockwork Thigh piece.
Regardless, however it is done, I want it. (Oh, and a quiver.) -
Quote:Wow!To address this list business once and for all.
I am retired. I agree with all my apparently many and very vocal detractors that I am not funny. I publicly apologize for every attempt at humor I have ever done in the past on these forums as they were quite obviously misdirected and foolhardy.
While I am still playing the game itself, I believe this will be my last post on the forums. It is no longer fun here. I had fully intended not to write a good-bye post as they always strike me as self-serving and attention-grabbing. Unfortunately, it appears I can not even make a serious post that wasn't intended to be funny at all without people telling me "that wasn't funny."
First off, let me just say that I always thought you posts were hilarious and very well constructed when they were meant to be jokes. And while you had rather few serious posts that I recall, they too were well put (though, as in this post, I didn't always agree).
Sad to see ya go, but I have to say I am surprised at your reactions. Never woulda thought such a funny guy was so thin-skinned to let a few morons ruin his fun.
Also, with the shere volume of funny posts you have made, can you really blame people when they look at a serious post and say "where's the joke?" -
Quote:So what I am reading from this, whether its what you mean or not, is that it shouldn't be a new class of sets per se, but instead a new aspect of a set. Kind of like how there are Accurate Healing sets there would now be Interruptable Healing sets, Interruptable Damage sets and Interruptable Travel sets that have pieces like Heal/Interrupt/Endurance, Interrupt/Damage/Recharge or Range/Endurance/Interrupt?Wouldn't an Interrupt Reduction set be like having an Endurance Reduction set, or an Accuracy set?
Anyway you slice it, I like the idea. -
Why have you made a ton of seperate threads with random data in it? Was your first thread not good enough as it was? Not sure what this is meant to be doing...
-
Definitely some info here that needs to be espoused... and not just to the Protector community! Is there a Mini-Guide to this stuff somewhere that I can toss around on Infinity when folks don't know what's up?
-
A bit of thread necromancy, I know, but I thought that I should add that this information has been added to the Paragon Wiki to supplant the more outdated information that Darth Otiosus had gathered previously (due credit is given of course).
Thought folks might like to know. -
If you want Mu Mastery it does. Heroes can't get that pool unless they switch to Red and run the arc to unlock it.
Also, though you didn't ask... I think that someone new to the game should really avoid farming and PLing for a good while until they have a better handle on many different aspects of the game. Farming and PLing can promote early burn-out through getting characters to the cap and/or earning inf fast enough to make content feel stale. Don't force yourself into boredom before you've even begun!
