    Jocas = Joking??

Funny, when I ran the DD for the first time and saw the mention of the Dagger... I instantly got all giddy because he was about to go all "Rularuu imprisonment/shattering" on her.

I knew exactly what it was, and what it had been used for in the past. Wasn't "out of left field" at all, AFAIAC.

I guess to some folks, who aren't as familiar with Midnight Club lore, it might. What exactly were you expecting in place of the Dagger/Quills mechanic?

I was thinking that same thing. When I see "concept" I always think "character concept" and all I saw was a Build, which isn't interesting to me. I think you also might be scaring away the true build enthusiasts by tossing "concept" in the thread title.

    *shrug*

Maybe I shouldn't assume "concept" always means backstory.

    Pretty much this.

How do you "grapple" while Hovering? What about Arachnobots? Rikti Drones? Non-human Spirit Stalkers? The list goes on. Just thought of another... ALL of the Animus Arcana, how do you "grapple" magic?

Also it's "their hands" not "they are hands."
  4. Yeah, I don't know what the deal is with that.

I have advertised for things in pretty much all the chat channels I know about on occasion and still only gotten one or two responses (via tell not even in the channel). I know a good deal of folks play on Infinity... but it seems no one talks!

I have grown spoiled over on Justice where there is constantly chatter in JU or JFA no matter when I log in. It feels nice to see that. I have had friends drop from Infin for just that reason.

I wonder how much chatter happens in /help and /lfg on Infinity?
  5. I am on right now, and actively recruiting for another try for the Avoids the Green Stuff badge! Come on over to DA for a try at it!!

[Edit: That run was... less than amazing. We did get some people Bunker Buster though.]

Ummm, you CAN'T use any Incarnate powers in the Night Ward arcs, the missions only let you be at a max of 39 IIRC.

And I soloed them on my Troller who is IOed... but a very large portion of his IOs were not functional during the arc due to the level they were slotted and missing powers in which they were slotted. So... yeah.

    Challenge accepted? And surmounted?

These... are excellent places to start.
  10. Did two full runs, got some folks Anti-AM and Bunker Buster... but still no Green.

I will definitely be doing some more Leagues for this.
  11. 'Bout to log in to form up for a few runs... I still have my eye on Avoids the Green Stuff... but might be persuaded to go for other badges as well! See ya in a few.

Statements like the one you are responding to here, Agge, always confuse me.

It's like asking a magazine copy editor why he is reading copy when he should be over there making donuts for the office. Maybe he is good at making donuts... but he is doing his job over *here* as a copy editor. Let him do it.

I fondly remember when BaB said something to the effect of "sure, let me just *animate* that problem away."

Nope, nothing at all to do with the Resistance. My name refers to my favorite number... which itself derives from a rather long story involving my best friend in High School, a CD player and a trip to McDonald's that made 37 a very important part to the rest of my HS career.

And no, it has nothing to do with the Kevin Smith movie. However, I have to laugh extra hard now every time that scene comes up, though.

But seriously, I liked the movie. And the dude was a biologist... entomologists think INSECTS of all shapes and sizes are "beautiful" while most folks are repulsed by them. It takes all kinds, and whatnot.
  18. It would be nice if those got fixed. They are small things, but would be nice to have altered.

Luke Cage, has the name Power Man.

    Nick Fury isn't a super hero he's a spy.
And that means none of them are in comics? All of those names are "genre" appropriate as far as I can tell.

I have had that "problem" too. I adapt. I choose a different name, and in many cases, it has mildly influenced me to change the backstory and I usually end up with a more interesting fun to play character.

I have almost never had an issue coming up with a name for one of my characters. Click the symbol in the center of my sig and scroll through my character list on the Ouroportal. I know I like all of my character names.

    Also, this:

I think this sums up the scope of other comments above very succinctly and I have to agree.

    For comparison's sake:
    • Melee: Anyone can walk into melee range... and many non-melee ATs spend a lot of time there
    • Assault: Every character in the game does damage... now you can do more of it
    • Support: This tree offers a buff to folks around you, lots of folks have teammates, right?
    • Control: It makes your controls better, or gives you controls if you don't have any
    • Command: Only helps those folks who already have pets

Also, no one is arguing that all trees are equally beneficial to all characters... just that they have a use period.
