Fusionette. That girl's insane I tell you, running into mobs like that!
Or Synapse. He takes far too much sugar. Would be good in the asylum, yeah.
And I think I'm gonna metion Westin Phipps. The guy is so cruel, he's bordering on insane. -
When we unleash the doomkittens.
Soon.
Never.
Stop asking all these questions!

I am going to stop using it...now
Back to seriousness, I expect it sometimes this month. It'll be probably be announced in Feb then go into closed beta in March, then open beta a week later, then another week later it will realase. Then an unpredicted I15 realase in April (no beta) and Jack Emmert will eat all our heads off, claiming he's the best in the world and everyone should bow to him and clean his underwear. -
Aye - devs definitely need to stock some more of those copies in shops. If not, advertise a little bit, maybe put an advert on the intaweb. That would certainly attract people.

Unfortuantely, it's up to retailers what games they put on thier shelves, and they only have space for the latest or most popular games.

On that subject, I seem to be playing a lot of a few month old console games. Anybody else experencing this? I just can't be bothered to spend £40-£50 on a brand new game that is medicore at best. I like to take in all the reviews and make my own decision. -

Why do the devs need to know? I'd rather see the contact asking "Why do you not want to do this?" rather than ask the devs. Seems a bit pointless tbh.
[/ QUOTE ]
Erm, because you're only supposed to drop missions if they are bugged, that was the point of it in the first place...
Seems pretty clear why then.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ummmmmm...nothing tells me that it was intended for bugged missions. The dropping mission text tells that if it's bugged, you should contact Support. -

Just because people have completed the ITF before doesn't make my suggestion useless. That's about as reasonable as saying that people have completed Posi it shouldn't be shortened (one of my suggestions). I've yet to see someone who doesn't want Posi shorted. It's pretty obvious that people are disagreeing with my ITF suggestion, sure we might have had a bad mix, that's not the point is, the point is to make it a good challenge for a bad mix instead of bearing on impossible. And yet still make it challenging for all who play it. That is possible, y'know.
I rest my case. -
Wow! Excellent. I think that's going down as one of my nominations for Creative Genius!

Many people have been playing this game for freaking years. It's going to get pale, boring and staid for you.
Yes, it sucks to leave behind something familiar that you've gotten a lot of enjoyment from, but the devs just can't make some magical change that you won't eat up and spit out in five seconds that revolutionises the core gameplay and makes the world of CoX shine again. It's not going to happen. Blizzard are doing that, big expansion pack, same basic game, veterans go at it like a group of hyenas on downed prey and in no time at all are baying for more with bloodied snouts.
Anyone truly that bored with the game, I implore you, for your own good, leave. You've had enough. The well is dry. You've explored the whole island. Hang around and you'll just be loitering in a bus station for a bus that's never going to come. Ok, enough of the analogies. Just find something else, before you get so damn annoyed that you can't find the joy you used to have with the game, it completely ruins all the joy you used to have with the game!
It's not some 'please shut up' request, it is, surprisingly, me trying to get you (whoever you are) to do the best for yourself. It's all about having fun after all, and if that's not happening because you've seen and done it all....you need to go find something else to play with. I'm not saying the game shouldn't continue to develop and added to, but damn, some of you just sound like you're done with this game. Stop making it painful for yourself, you're spending close enough to ten quid a month to be annoyed.

The English language is jam-packed with ways to express yourself eloquently, succunctly and accurately. Imaginative use of parlance can lead to great prose and tender poems, song and lymeric. The right combinations can rouse emotions or quell them, incite rage or lead to immense calm.
But sometimes you can save time and effort when annoyed with a loud cry of an expletive-punctuated sentiment that would take dozens of words otherwise.
Example:
'Sir, your presence I have grown tired of. While initially your company was at worst trivial, it now has become pointless and highly undesirable and I would very much be thankful were you to convey yourself to an alternative location for the duration of your existance.'
becomes;
'**** off, moron.'
Necessary? Not really. Saves time though, and can even be fun as long as it's not done to excess.

I'd choose the first one, I'd make me sound smarter, but the second one would make me sound like a Xbox Live bound 12 year old. -

And yes, the shadow cysts are epic, a great challenge - but does there really need to be 10 in one cave map? And yeah, fix the lag.
[/ QUOTE ]
See that mission as a warning. If you keep dying in that cave then you wont be taking out Rom either.
[/ QUOTE ]
Intresting then, I don't die in it, and we still can't take down Rom.
But that still doesn't answer the question - is 10 REALLY REALLY needed? Or is it some excuse to make the TF longer?
Oh, and for those who are saying "Don't nerf Rommy, the game is too easy" - 'the game is too easy' has only been positively said by some people on this forum, so frankly, that's not enough to warrant not putting Rommy down a little bit. I am not saying nerf Rommy so he is not a challenge for anyone, make it so he's that little bit easier for the unusual/weaker mix of toons yet still a challenge for a l33t mix of toons.
Oh and yes I'd like to see some hunt missions removed - although I'd keep Numina's hunt missions there, it encourages tactics and teamwork and it fits in well with the storyline. -
Somebody pressed the 'realase top secret stuff' button again, like the witch leather top.
But that sounds awesome...must tell me SG mates -
It all depends on who you're saying it to. A fair group of people still feel uncomfortable with swearing, so do people feel uncomfortable/opposed to homosexuality and all that.
You must be careful who you're saying it to, at the end of the day. You don't know if you might offend them. And the filter is pretty much the worst I've ever seen. They have blocked out "poop".
Personally, I don't really swear, because I don't feel the need to get angry and curse people and not be viewed as a potty mouth. -
Stalkers. No matter how hard I try I jusr can't get into them! I would add Tankers but I'm currently levelling one and getting back into the AT, so meh.
-
I think Birdy put it quite well. I can see where sorudo's coming from, a set similar to FF, but unfortunately, as said, the engine does not support this.
-
[ QUOTE ]
It is a tough one but it can be done with a healthy mix of toons

And for the 'unhealthy' mix of toons? It is bordering on impossible.

Tone down Romulus' HP and Damage a bit. Reasoning: So Romulus can become easier with unusual and slightly weaker ATs/powersets.

People love that taskforce because its a challenge, dont tone it down!
[/ QUOTE ]
I didn't say tone it down to a level where it wouldn't be a challenge. I said a bit. For a few teams that TF is bordering on impossible.
Oh, and yes, I was on a ITF last night. That failed. At Rommy.
And, by the way, if it's a change to a minor stroyline, why you taking it so badly? I thought people wanted Posi TF less tedious and boring, but oh well, you can't please everyone.
[ QUOTE ]
But seriously, the reason you want to take these out is either some minor storyline reason or just because you think it's too hard, as far as I can tell, and we have enough threads whining about the lack of challenge already.
[/ QUOTE ]
You know, only a minor percentage of people post and actively read on these forums. Therefore, a lack of challenge cannot be represented as the general opnion unless we take a game-wide survey.

All i want is a insp shop in cimemora since the no passing insps to enemies rule is retarded.

You could go suggest it then, in your own thread. -

They touch?
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course. They start at the bottom of the leg and then they start gradually moving up until they reach the parts they want to reach. -
These are a mixed bag compiled of some changes to the current Task Forces/Strike Forces.
Imperious Co-op Task Force
Take out the shadow cysts
Remove the number of Shadow Cysts to 5. Reasoning: 10 shadow cysts makes this mission tedious and boring.
Retake Cimerora
Tone down Romulus' HP and Damage a bit. Reasoning: So Romulus can become easier with unusual and slightly weaker ATs/powersets.
Positron Task Force
Track down the Clockwork minion
Remove it. Reasoning: It's boring, pointless, and it makes the Task Force unnecessarily longer.
Numina Task Force
Investigate the disappearance of Scout
Replace this with anothe mission that DOESN'T involve Scout. Reasoning: Why does he need to act so dramatic? There surely must be a easier way to find out about the Woodsman?
Virgil Tarikoss Strike Force
Find Method to Pierce Barrier
Remove this mission. Reasoning: Can't he not go and get this himself? Is it really that hard?
That will be all for now. -
[ QUOTE ]
Hmmmm, yes, I would like this possibility.
Though there's the part where I WOULD move my lvl 50 tanker to my second account, and maybe my blaster from my seccond account to my main one.
Issues this arises:
My secondary account doesn't have a lvl 50 hero (like my main doesn't have a lvl 50 villain). Would my second account unlock HEAT?
My main account is roughly 18 months ahead of my second in vets. Would my Tanker loose his badges and vet powers? Would my blaster gain them?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I think you're not gonna get the vet powers and all because it's a second account, thick and thin, it has different vet rewards and all. That's probably the easiest way to solve the abuse that would come with the system. Although you'd probably unlock HEATs/VEATs since they ARE level 50, and you do need a level 50 to unlock them. And as said before, you've got one... -

Why do you think that it is so ridiculous that players use conceptual reasons to create there characters? Most of the people I know in game seam to base there characters on concept instead of playability. Many people that I have talked to in PUGs say that they choose power sets because of the look or because a certain power looked really good. They don't seam to know the best numbers for it. They want to have fun.
Reading the descriptions of SS and Willpower, the too sets seam to fit together very well, conceptually. How can you be so sure that they are all so concerned about the numbers?
[/ QUOTE ]
It may be true that some players rol it for concept reasons, but i doubt its the reason for most of them.
I know 12 players using that combo and they all rolled it because its great.
Maybe its only the players i know and all others do it for concept but i doubt it.. but who knows :-)
[/ QUOTE ]
I doubt it's because of the numbers. I'd say it was the concept... but who knows?

I left long ago, just couldn't be bothered playing the character. There was little RP stoof going on (in fact probably none at all), and the character just didn't feel enjoyable, unfortunately, so I decided to leave.
I made a post about it on the Union Universe forums, but that's pretty much dead now.
