TG you can do so in the game. But it is annoying to not even be able to speak your own language without having to get hindered by this filter. It still amazes me how many words are considered profanity by a society who learns their young kids to shoot with guns.
Biggest problem I have with it is that perfectly innoculous, harmless words are filtered. People think you're swearing at them because the 'filter' says so when that isn't the case at all.
Why, when the game often uses the word in mission descriptions and objectives, are we banned from using a three letter word used since the year dot to describe a deity? The mind boggles.

I turn off the ingame censor right away, so i never see the starts on exisiting characters.
On the forums though, its doesnt bother me in the slightest. Granted, having the *option* to turn off forum censorship would indeed be intersting, but on the flip side, at least you *know* when someone is swearing left right and center even with it turned on.
Considering the number of posts that have been made on this board though, there is a *very* small percentage of posts with [censored] in it. The other times, it could well indeed be the POSTER doing typing the word out (because they know it would be censored anyway).

Forums censor posts at time of posting, not at time of reading, so it's not possible to have this as an option. As for the words it censors, that's because our boards are hosted on the same server as the US boards, with shared censorship filters. This topic has come up from time to time over the years, and the answer is always the says, they can't change it.

It's a shame it can't check context. I was caught out when I first started playing. Team "I'll just nip to the shop" came out as "I'll just [censored] to the shop". Very odd things auto censors
To say nothing of congratulating someone for hitting level 45 being turned into something that looks as if you may be swearing at them
