Since I plan on taking part in GR test,I have some questions.
I've never been to test so what should I expect?
What is required on me?
How does it work do you have access to io's/so's and such to enh your toons to test the affects in the test enviroment?
How does leveling work?Do you just grind to level or does the game jump to levels?
Basically,how does it work?I do know how to download it and copy toons across from the guide links so got that covered.I looked around but didn't really see anything that explains how this works or what to expect.Me and the wife plan on going on to test to help out as much as possible to curb any unforseen bugs/problems when it hits live.Any answers/links/advice is appreciated thank you in advance. -
Sometimes certain AT's/powersets can surprise you.I made a rad/rad corr probably around 18 month's ago and finally got him to 50.I looked at the /rad part as being awesome for gm/av/eb take down so I paired him w/my wife's ss/wp brute.I am now playing this toon all the time,the reason being is not only is he a support toon but,he took down his very first av which to me is a big deal.
I usually play brutes/scrappers,for me to play a corr is just unheard of and for my friends they are sorta shocked.I also got a fire/kin troller to 50 but that was more for inf/recipe farming.I also have a WS that was sitting at lvl 23 for the longest time.I like the toon but it was still sorta meh for me,I didn't want to delete him so I made him my badger and found it is perfect for my needs,he now is 35.
The point I'm getting to in my rather long winded explanation is that sometimes you will surprise yourself with certain at's,I know I did and I'm happy that I "evolved" to enjoy all that the game has to offer. -

My toon is Warpact a bots/ff mm who kidnaps children to understand fear in humans.He presents himself as the "dad" to brain modified children and tells them stories of boogeymen in the closet,monsters under the bed,and monsters stalking the children in their "home".
These said monsters are constantly on the lookout to kill the kids after bedtime,he also threatens them with beatings if they cry out in the night.Yea sorta sick but I patterned him after my old man. -

I've been looking into doing a cowboy for myself, for example.
I know I want to go with the dp/rad w/toxic shells,patron depends on the build ie;if it's end heavy going with Mu.You get the idea.
Actually the point of me posting this is I want to see others ideas,I get a kick out of people's toons/bio's/themes and sometimes people have a different way of looking at things than I do.Perhaps something can be used or it may lead me into the right direction.I am my own worst enemy when it comes to toons,I get an idea and build it then get tired of it because it doesn't feel right.(I know sorta weird)
The thing that is screwin me up is that I can't get the usual suspects out of my head ie;Matrix,Trigun,etc.It's like I have a block when I think about a DP toon.Meh..stoopid brain... -
Guess you never heard of the Silver Samurai,Shining Knight,Arsenal,Arrowette,Artemis 3,Body Doubles,David cain,Claw,Deathstroke,Echo 6,El Diablo,and I could keep goin and that's only the DC universe.
There are alot of super types with different abilities in comic form and in game,most of the "Golden Age" super heroes are just fighters,martial artists in masks and trench coats.
Alot of ninjas are heroes too,Elektra is one off the top of my head and what about Captain America/Daredevil who are trained in martial arts.
I understand you want more powers/abilities and that's fine we all do.But,your interpetation and others(specifically the devs)are different. -

I am sure that there is going to be so many trench coat,duster(hat) wearin folk runnin around that it will get sick after awhile.
This is the problem I'm running into I can't think of a name,nor a theme,but,I do know I don't want some run of the mill toon that looks like everyone else.Hope this helps,it's early Wes you gotta give me a chance here,I need some coffee and you are makin me think.(yawn)

Probably open it up and a flock of riktifried turkey's will lay seige,also at this time a Rikti attack will commence.All gm's will spawn,and zombie and banner events will occur.Death by lag!It will all be a nemesis plot of course.

OK Wes I'll play along...this toon will be my gun-kata/rad corr on Virtue.I haven't come up with a theme yet.Maybe the name will help inspire me,I dig the whole Grifter/Trigun/Equilibruim thing (which will probably be the norm once GR goes live).
So with that said I want to get away from that,and go totally different.Let the magic begin! -

Also,true I don't want to be trippin over people when they get into fights or listen to the "smack" talk on broadcast.
For some reason this sounds too much like some other mmo I do not play.
In addition I think it best to fix the problems with pvp before anything like that is even considered.The pvp population is too small now to try to do a major change like that.If you think it might attract people to try your wrong. -

Yea I've also incorporated piston boots for jump,and/or wings for flight.Just wanted to free up the powers is another reason. -

I base alot of my toons on natural origin,only using flight packs,zero-g packs,etc to get around.Yeah it's a pain,but,I have to stay with my character idea and the additional powers.So this coming out is a great thing for me,got to see it in action last night when someone was racing and jumping around obo.
So yea I'll get it,plus more costume pieces,emotes,it makes the game worthwhile. -
Usually star or the wife is as long as you have a decent group everything should pretty well work on it's own.BUT,for those situations that require a guiding hand or kid gloves then I do tactics with the group so everyone understands his roll.
Not to step on toes I do /tell the people on team that don't need guidance why I am explaining stuff to the team,I have yet had anyone question it and everyone usual tries to help out the person who is getting killed or aggro'n wrong mobs etc. -

Actually for the battle cry it wouldn't be too bad.Have default voices like robotic,female,male,bestial,etc.Type in your bc and when you hit f10 it yells whatever you typed in your default voice mode.Of course the language filter would have to be on...not for your protection mind you but,mine as I would use the female voice to yell all sorts of naughty things.
