Whereas, I kind of held off on the rocket board, because it only came in one color. My other issue is that the red looks like it's closer to pink/orange/salmon colored than fire truck red to me.

Meanwhile, I jumped on the magic carpet ride right away.

So, now that we've got these two out of the way, any chance the devs will finally look into Jetbikes?
  4. The big thing missing from the Freem that you get in the first mission in the Incarnate unlock arc that we haven't gotten yet, is some sort of DoT that is added to any aura that affects your enemies.

So, I wouldn't be surprised to see something like this somewhere down the line.

See, this is another reason why my vote goes for power pools, if the new AT is broken, it'll likely end up underpowered anyways. So, might as well suck it up and go for power pools from the get-go.

In addition, aside from purely conceptual reasoning, power pool attacks are worthless aside from being set mules, these powers would have to at the very least be as good as tier 2 attacks to be worth taking (this would include buffing already existing power pool attacks). The only pool that would be numerically competitive to existing sets is the shield pool, however AFAIK it would be a nightmare to implement due to all the animation work needed and/or would be mutually exclusive with alot of things.
The whole point of power pools has always leaned toward concept. Not everything has to be "Numerically competitive".

These sets look good. Power pool it up.

    Heh, that's crazy, right?

But yeah, I want to fight legit super powered characters in a comic book/superhero inspired game on a regular basis as opposed to just the "big" missions.

    -Heavy burst
-Suppression fire (cone with slow and -tohit)

    Rifle Power Pool:
    -Single Shot
    -Bayonet
    -Sniper rifle
    -Armor Piercing Round (-res/-def)

    Side Arm Pool:
    -Pistol
    -Pistol Whip (chance for stun)
    -Double Tap
    -Executioner's Shot

    Pistols Akimbo Pool:
    -Pistols
    -Point Blank Double Shot
    -Dual Wield
    -Empty Clips

    Shotgun Pool:
    -Buckshot
    -Bird Shot
    -Taser Slug
    -12 gauge
Yeah, I could totally see these as a standard power pool. Guns as an additional source of dps shouldn't bring as much to the table, particulary, if you already have plenty of melee attacks that do really good damage as an option.

Also, so it'd be available for every AT as an option as opposed to just APPs where the focus is typically to fill in the blanks in very specific ways on a limited subset of ATs. But, they shouldn't feel "necessary" to min-max the game, but rather to fill out the character/concept as opposed to a late game pick-up/afterthought like the APPs can be.

Save things like Samuel Tow's aforementioned Mini-gun for a Judgment slot. So that it can be as big as it needs to be to do the weapon properly. It'll be like Cryonic, only with a big freaking gun and lethal damage. Also, so we'd have one option that wasn't so blatantly "Fueled by the Well". Incarnate lore reasons can go stuff themselves.

Your idea would work for me too.

This could again be used for a variety of purposes as well as explaining away armor.
I think it was a fairly common in 80s and 90s era animation. Pretty sure, Heavy Metal uses something like it. I believe He-man, Defenders of the Earth, Thundarr the Barbarian, Yu Yu Hakusho etc. all use something similar at some point. I was surprised that we didn't have it.

The other common tight outline glow is the one where the outline where it moves almost as if it's boiling similar to a lava lamp. That's probably not the best explanation.

I'd be pleased as punch, if they'd just let us have the three MM attacks for Dual Pistols as options, I'll live with the rest if I could just have those three.

So, I'd imagine that 6 isn't co-op. Redsiders, time to comb the gutter and everywhere else of Grandville.
  15. I want the Outcasts to come back in starting from 20 on up.

    Here's why: They have superpowers.

The entire group is based around the mutant archetype, they exhibit numerous elemental abilities. And then, they just up and disappear. From 20 on up, they could organize, suit up with themed tights and bulk out their numbers with Psychic and whatever else is missing that can be kludged in to work as super powered enemy group. Give a number of their bosses dual themed powers like Frostfire, and throw in a SupaTroll for flavor.

We have cultists, military, voodoo, psychic high-class circus, horror, scientists, time travelers, sorta mirror-verse, aliens, other dimensional beings, Romans and Nazis. Can we get an entire villain group built and based around legit superpowered beings in tights ?

They don't even have to have a major agenda, other than crime, they could just be Radio/Newspaper fodder madlib style.

Then, why are your villains building unstoppable war machines? A hero, or heroes or heroine and heroines as the case may be, brought down before the unstoppable war machine is the whole point. It's unstoppable, isn't it?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but seeing as they specifically said "Who Will Die?", I wonder if some people are missing the nuance. What if, it's not a matter of somebody killing Statesman as it is him sacrificing himself either to save somebody close to him or to save the city or even the world.

If the devs are going to put their premier hero in the guillotine, then shouldn't his death have meaning beyond just another punching bag for the players to kick around yet again, as I assume a good deal of players have had more than one opportunity to defeat Statesman in the past.

  18. Same thing I always want.

A proper ape/chimp/gorillas/monkeys/simians costume set for my heroes and villains and dinosaurs to fight. I would also accept the option of a dinosaur which I could ride, in lieu of the opportunity to fight one. I would so need to make another beam rifle hero for it though.

Okay, so do you actually do this in-game for some of your characters?

I'm all for it. I know I've fiddled with difficulty settings to give me the right feel for whatever character I'm playing, and not simply to get the most xp/time. Or to account for "planning ahead" in character.

In general, I want an Incarnate to feel like the raid boss, with the NPCs coming in a large group to take him down like the raid party. Again, this doesn't have to apply to just one player. A group of players could be threatened by enemy numbers, as well, if the enemies field enough "heavies." I'd sooner fight the whole damn Praetorian army like we do in one mission in Tin Mage than fight just one or two Praetorian god-modders.
From what I've seen of the trials, they seem like they're supposed to be rare one-off events. The problem is, that to get the required rewards to achieve whatever level of incarnate-dom you're chasing, you have to do them over and over. But, I don't think you should take that as a point against the trials themselves, but rather the system that requires them to be repeated in order to achieve power. I recognize how thin I'm splitting hairs here.

To feel godlike, feel free to correct me, as Sam appears to be saying, you'd be more "godlike" by soloing things at -1/x8.

So, you'd still be facing an army, but they're less of a threat to you personally because you now have power of a god. Which, makes sense from a certain point of view.

Okay, let's assume Darrin Wade or whoever is after Statesman's power, they take that power and then what? It's just power.

To make yourself a real presence in the world, you've got to get some kind of support base in the world, a chain of islands is not looking too shabby. So, mad dash scramble to usurp Arachnos' power. Recluse dies.

Thereby, giving both heroes and villains the same sort of possible position.
