Haven't seen any /TA builds on the forums in awhile, Here is what i came up with. I focused on recharge recovery and hit points. Going to try one with capped S/L next and ill post it here. Apoc and Hecatomb are in fire blast and total focus for now, but i will have crushing impact and decimation until i procure those. Anyone have there own /TA build they would like to share or any ways to improve this one?

Just started a thread for this in the Market and Inventions forum for this by accident, I was thinking we could use 1-2 sets (1 lvl 10-30 1 lvl 30-53) strictly for cone powers that focus on Damage/Range just like Obliteration and Eradication are good for nukes (Damage/recharge and very little end reduction)

When Targeted AoE gets the love that PBAoE did when they got Obliteration and Eradication. Can we have a set(s) strictly meant for cone powers? Have the set focus on Damage/Range then sprinkle in recharge/Acc/end....Bam! 1000's of happy gamers. Whattya say?

I agree with most of this, Do you have a build you can post Ultra? Pyre Mastery is still weaker then the ppp's even with fiery embrace? -
Im working on one of these myself, im still in the beginning stages though. I noticed you took stealth, I think that power suppresses when you attack so Maneuvers might be a better choice. I have a lot of the same power choices but im trying to include a travel. I might have to rely on ninja run. Pretty sad when we are getting three new power choices lol. That Glad proc is something to strive for down the road, unless you have one already. I might take the regen tissue proc out of health and put a force feedback in footstomp or another slot in stamina. Anyone else have there I19 SS/FA builds we can look at?

I think you've made a pretty good case for Defenders, up until this part. The difference in damage modifier is actually larger than 7.5%, and Scourge is worth considering no matter what you're fighting. That's because on teams you're presumably going to hit mobs with a variety of hit points, and you're actually less likely to be the one opening the attack, so hitting them at 100% is actually less likely. Scourge also applies to total damage, while Vigilance only applies to base damage, just because of the way criticals vs damage bonuses work. Scourge is often gauged as a 30% increase to damage. I agree with that assessment.
Assume you hit everything AA and DA before attacking. For most attacks damage will look like this: (Mod*(1+Enhancements+Damage Bonuses)*Scourge)*(1+Resist Debuffs)
Corr = 0.75*(0.95)*1.3*1.3 = 2.47
Def (solo) = 0.65*(0.95+0.3)*1.4 = 2.05
Def (full team) = 0.65*(0.95)*1.4 = 1.77
It's really more like 50% more damage, rather than 7.5%.
The Defender is still increasing her team's damage by a larger amount, but for most attacks their own damage will lag behind. Psuedo pets disrupt this, as RoA, Blizzard, and OSA all do the same or close to the same on Defenders as they do on Corruptors. So if a huge portion of your damage comes from OSA/RoA, then the Defender will be much closer. IF they inherit both Vigilance and Scourge, they will still be better on the Corruptor.
So can OSA Scourge? If it can, then the only thing I would say the Defender really has going for it is (as you mentioned) it's easier to get the defense of your choice soft-capped, and the extra debuffs make you and everyone else more survivable.
OP: I would really base your choice, Defender vs Corruptor, on the attack set. If you went Archery, so much of your damage is from RoA and OSA, that the damage gap is shortened, but you retain all the advantages if you go Defender. If you went DP, or some other set with no psuedopets, go for Corruptor. Naturally if you have any interest in something like Rain of Fire + OSA, you have to go Corruptor

Tried CoHhelper but i get an unhandled exception when i run the forum post, sorry. It will grab the screen but its choppy and doesnt work all the time. Maybe 20% of time it will work with one click. I thought it was definitely the mouse to, but it works fine out of game (Logitech Revolution). Let me try binding it again

Been Playing this game for 6 years and never heard or experienced an issue like this one before. But it has made the game unplayable. My right mouse button wont "grab" the screen and spin it around. I tried the mouse out of game and it works fine, but when i click and hold it in game the cursor just blinks randomly and works after i click it 4-5 times. Ive tried playing with the mouse sensitivity and some of the other options to no avail. Anyone experience this and know what i can do to resolve it?

Elec/fire will work as an AoE blapper if that's what you were looking for. You will have 5 PBAoE powers at your disposal. Ball Lightning (not really PBaoE but would work just the same) Short circuit, Combustion, FSC and Burn. Burn was changed into a front loaded damage power and the fear was removed so you'll definitely want to start using it. Your gonna have to be careful with short circuit and combustion because they have 3 second anime times that will prevent you from doing anything else but watching your health bar hit 0. See what attack chain works best. The damage aura's are skippable but if you want to use them thats your choice. BA's raduis is so small i always skip it, Hot feet has a huge radius but will cause them to run (slowing them down too). As for Cold, you could try combine Snow storm and hotfeet to prevent mobs from running but i think i tried this and it dosent work so well. Besides, we live in the future! Blasters have AoE immobs now! The most popular has to be the mace mastery pool for the AoE immob and Defensive shield.

I agree on FS, I was hoping Aim might make up for it. The disruptor is there for the HP bonus but i can see pulling that for more ACC in FS. Maybe drop Disruptor and three slot tactics with Gaussians so i only lose 1.12% hp bonus.

I have accumulated the panacea's over the last year but an accurate heal set or doctored wounds would do just fine in there. I left stamina out of the build and will get by on transference until i19. Anything else i miss?

Aim+build up - Firebreath/fireball, run into melee Fire sword circle/burn? i only use three of them now but you get the idea.

No mention of the prettiest and strongest brute build out there? War Mace/Energy Aura? I heard some skulls tried to jump my friend one time and he pulled out a bat and cracked their jaws!

i broke the rule of 5 with decimation in blaze (6.25) recharge, so i need to slot it another way. I was thinking 4 devastation and 2 damage/range HO??? how would you guys slot it

My spines/fire/fire is a beast, 2 damage auras, Spine Burst, Burn, and fireball. I built for recovery, recharge, and melee defense.

This build ridiculously expensive for perma heatloss. It's probably not worth it. I have another one where i cap ranged and S/L but have a 15 second downtime on HL. (it has 140% recharge when hasten is up) I used the last version of mids with the Leandro I19 patch to build this if you try to view it pretend the fitness pool is inherent and brawl has 4 kin combats in it. This one has capped S/L and 201% recharge, I think im gonna pull some of the recharge sets and bring some of the under slotted powers up to snuff. This build just reeks of waste to me lol. And i would get killed when i joined a team and they looked for my ally buff powers....im a Deblaster i tells ya!

As a blaster, you dont need that much S/L by any means. It will just make you a lot more survivable when your soloing, or taking the brunt of the aggro on teams. Blasters have been blasting without S/L for years with great success! 8-)
