Now on to the Op. Got a couple lvl 50 blasters, more than any other AT, and Fire Prim is nice, never tried Fire Second.... Too much damage for me.... XD My only advise (since you've got the basics covered) is just watch your endo management and remember that def only stop the basic damage... there well be times that you still get rolled, it's always best to try for resistence and def to min the damage you take.

As a blaster, you dont need that much S/L by any means. It will just make you a lot more survivable when your soloing, or taking the brunt of the aggro on teams. Blasters have been blasting without S/L for years with great success! 8-)

I have a 50 Fire/Fire/Fire Mastery Blaster also.
I just love the Fire (Pyre) Mastery extras...
but it is just a personal choice
IO'd (without sets) on every slot with 50 IOs....
I have always been happy with that for most of my toons so it is all cool

My first thoughts were that moving the perception slot out of build up and move it to flares. that way you can use thunderstrike to gain more ranged def. there is a build up set that gives 2 percent damage for 2 slots. use that one. or use 2 recharge IO's. using all those purples are nice, but the only powers that i would put them in are targeted AoE's and stuns if you want more survivability. The purples however usually give great recharge and damage globaly for 5 slots. check out some of the global uniques to help your def, regen, and recovery. The best way is to list what you want the most from top to bottom and cut the focus to 2-3. (usually like such: defense, recharge, and recovery. you may also want regen, extra global damage, or a specific type of def..) You can be a jack of all trades but since a blasters claim to fame is damage and more damage, you will want plenty of recharge, a bit of recovery to aid in lost endurance, and whatever kind of defense you feel you will need which depends on your playstyle. you can be well rounded and be ok in this aspect.
OP, nice! I'm a Fire/Dev returning from a LONG time off, and this looks like a very fun build. I realize that Fire/dev is not like it was pre-villains, so I've been looking for a new fire/ build. I think this could be very fun. Thanks!
Here is what i came up with for my main, he is a fire/fire blaster. This build has capped S/L defense, ~35% melee defense, I'm pretty sure capped Hit Points, (if im reading mids right) 102.5 global recharge from sets, and Acrobatics. I left out the damage aura's, RoF and Fire breath this time because Fireball, FSC and Burn is all the AoE i need. I finally get an AoE immob and i dont take RoF, go figure. I wanted Flares for when im mezzed but cut it for maneuvers and used the slots to put Kinetic combat in brawl. My ST attack chain will cycle Fire blast, Fire sword, and Blaze. Feel free to point out where i went wrong, i posted this for that reason, and maybe to give other fire/fire's some ideas when they need to respec for I19.
