Rikti Mothership Incarnate Hazard Zone.
As in, inside the crashed mothership. -
Quote:Sadly, to the best of my knowledge, you can't Auto a macro.Hadn't even thought about announcing it, until this post. I actually have it set to auto, so when someone goes down and I target them, it fires as soon as I am in range. I found I kept forgetting to use it, otherwise. Suppose I could build it into a macro that's set to auto, so it would announce it AND fire it?

If I'm on a team that's running well and having fun, I say, "Special thanks to $Target for being Vengeance-bait!"
And when I go down, I say, "Well, someone has to fuel Vengeance."
We also generally treat getting used for Vengeance as something of an indignity, but that's mostly to tease our Squishies. -
Hello!
My spouse has one character, who's level 21, closing in on 22. This character has been along on tip missions with other characters, earned alignment points, and faces level 20+ critters fairly often.
The character has never gotten a Tip to drop.
My spouse's other characters have tips drop regularly.
Other than, "The RNG hates your spouse", has anyone had similar problems? -
Quote:Blech. Some inherents to Tankers I'd probably prefer more:
Gauntlet +
Boosts the range and target cap of your AoEs above other melees...because Tankers are focused on big, heavy and showy powers. This would vary set by set; AoE heavy sets might get tiny bumps to target caps and/or radius while AoE-lite sets would get those fewer AoEs rocking hard.
I'd just like to see Tankers resist "unresistable" damage, and have a higher aggro cap. And maybe be all-but-functionally-unable to lose aggro. -

Quote:Somehow, I'm not surprised.I have a couple hundred level 15 PvP IOs that I'm saving for the moment.
(...partly because of your earlier post mentioning that fact...)
I admit that I was originally mildly surprised that Converters can't Convert levels, too, even if it was only to "downshift". -
Quote:QFT. I tried to shop for some Lvl 10s to turn into Panaceas, Glad's Armor, and / or Shield Walls [edit - pre-converters] for my low-level characters. I was willing to pay a bit, too. But nothing.Originally Posted by xeaonThat is because there is no or few lvl10 *other* pvp IO to convert!
I suspect many PVP Farmers are also market-savvy.
...and PVP Farms are probably tough to make at lvl 10. -
Observation:
Both of the returning players I tried to get into the game didn't opt to pay for VIP, because the points and reward token came after the month.
Both of the new people I've convinced to join since Freedom launched have bought extra points as part of their first VIP sign-up.
Edit: In all four cases, being unable to be definitive about when their reward tokens and Paragon Points would "arrive" was a factor in their decisions. -
Melee Defense primary. Nobody else has that.
I've never signed up for a Tanker expecting to win any contest besides "who's gonna fall down last?". And in that category - where they're supposed to excel - I've always found they excel.
So, honestly, I'm satisfied. -
I'll admit that Scrappers "suffer" a little for not having something "unique".
Stalkers are single-target champs, plus Stalker stuff.
Brutes get Fury.
Tankers get a defense primary.
We can (and will, endlessly) argue about which of these is "better" or "enough", but you can see all three other melee archetypes as "variant Scrappers", who give up something (...arguably...) to gain their "uniqueness".
Could Scrappers use a "uniqueness"? Sure. But I don't think they're quantifiably lacking; they don't lag mechanically, just in "And [Archetype] do [This]" type explanations. -
Quote:Yeah, kind of disagree. I've seen the boosters as "expendable" ever since they came out.It may not be the case, but the fact you cant move a boosted enhancer by any means certainly Looks like a Money Grabbing Scheme.
I don't get back my Hallowe'en Salvage if I want to delete a character. Or my time, or XP, or whatever that I've put into them.
*shrug* -
If I'd been home, I'd have made billions.
Instead, I got a bunch of useful Purples and PVPs. Or will have, once I Convert them.
*shrugs*
All good here. -

Quote:/signed.I am going to ask nicely to start.
Can we get a red letter to comment on why these are NOT being sold by the Ouro AM and EM vendors like on BETA. I have been saving my AM's and EM's for this purpose for more than a month and would like to know when those options are going live please.
Z?
Although I don't actually think it was the "cash friendly" thing. I think it was to throttle the ripple effects that are going to go through the market.
...badly. I think it was to throttle those effects, and I think it did it badly.
That said, I'd like to be able to spend my Alignment Merits, plz. -
Quote:How do you mean? The purple Market will be dead in a few weeks when they finally fix this, with all purples costing about the same.
Do you think the Alignment Merit purchase for the converters is coming - that being the fix you mean - or how do you mean?
I ask, because I stare at your piled Inf in envy. I mean, pretendy fun-time envy, but envy. -
Quote:This is probably the most important point, yes. While CoH Civil War is forming up here, one camp OK with purchasing APP/EPP Customization (or eating babies, whatever it takes) and the other demanding it be free, there is a special takeaway here; a good portion of CoH's players vehemently want this done ASAP.
It doesn't (really) matter how this gets done - but it's very strongly desirable to a wide swathe of the player-base that it get done - promptly. -
You phrased that eloquently. I agree. The dealership was nice enough to go from selling cars only in black, to selling them in any color, and people somehow feel that means they also agreed to offer spinning rims and tinted windows to anyone who wanted them, at no extra charge.
On the other hand...
Quote:Originally Posted by Electric-Knight...because before Issue 16 was released we were asking when Power Pools and Epic Pools were going to get done. And they said, "We couldn't get it done for Issue 16" and that they'd hopefully get to it shortly afterward.
So, to continue your equivalence, Lothic - they did agree to provide that service; then the monetization of the game changed. I can understand (even if I don't entirely agree with) the angry mob that would gather if they charged for it.
...understand, as I lined up to (happily) pay Paragon Points, that is. -
Best advice I can give?
1. Find a team-mate.
2. Kick her butt.
3. Profit.
Others will probably be more helpful. -
-
Quote:/signed.That said, if the situation is such that it will not receive attention unless they release it as purchasable for ALL, then yes, I would pay for it.
...I believe in funding worthwhile investments...
...with a guarantee that any further customization options released to said Pools/APPs be automatically tagged on for those who have purchased the customization option.
But I'd potentially pay more than 800 pp, if the options given were sufficiently awesome. -
I've always used Talos. The Tsoo spawn bosses not infrequently, and once the spawns are grey to you, it takes no time at all.
Plus, I usually just grab 3 tips, then run the missions; the other two will drop during the runs (usually). Particularly if you run on a team. -
Quote:/SIGNED.I agree there are many other avenues they could have taken to have not run into the problem (if making salvage account bound is indeed the problem)
<insert great idea here>
You go to the Vendor, say, "Hey, email this to me", and he emails it to you. Bam. Suddenly, "account-bound" salvage.
Although the idea of doing the Catalysts as a "Enhancement" instead of a "Salvage" is a much better one - but I think that ship has long since sailed.
