It wasn't a great episode but it wasn't a terrible episode either. I thought they child actor did terror very well and rather grew to like the dad. Anyway it was an odd episode and I think we should just take it as one of the many incidents that happen while he gallivants around.

No Tiki room no door to it no area there. The vaults weren't present either on either side. The cage match area on the blue side was not there at all. Just remove those areas and the doors to them and it is the same.

In the case of the beta server:
The auth list (the list that tells us that you have an active subscription to the server) is not the same as the live auth list. Because we had to basically "clone" the database, we took a stamp from early July. Because of this, anyone who wasn't subbed on the date that we copied from does not have immediate access to the Beta server.
If I haven't responded to you personally yet, it's because I'm currently sitting on hundreds of PM's in my in box that I'm still sorting through. I was OOO for several days gone at PAX and have been in almost non-stop meetings since I got back. I almost always reply to PM's in some shape or form, within reason of course, so if I haven't responded to you it's because I haven't read it yet.
As previously stated, send a PM to a member of the Community Team *and* file a Customer Support ticket. The latter is the most important part as they forward these along for access on a daily basis, as opposed to me doing it as I have time to.

When they switch to Hybrid F2P mode they will add two account types. Free and Premium. So a full list of accounts would look like this. Free, Premium, & Subscriber.
Now that looks a bit funny so they decided to spruce up the subscriber name and instead call it VIP. Thus Subscriber = VIP. Now a list of valid account types will look like - Free, Premium, & VIP.
As you can see that looks a bit spiffier than the former list. Mind you people still trip over the fact that VIP = Subscriber. Ah well.

I'm not sure when the opportunity closes if it was when Freedom was announced or when Freedom actually goes live.
VIP accounts are just a fancy name for being subscribed to the game.
Basically instead of calling it Free/Premium/Subscribed they spiced it up a bit by calling it Free/Premium/VIP. -
Yes well if people didn't try to steal and break things we wouldn't have to put up with greater security. Security is always a tradeoff between convenience and security. The more securer it is to the more inconvenient to use it generally is. [Note the this doesn't hold true in reverse. Greater inconvenience doesn't always translate into improved security.]
If all you had to do was keep the average person honest you could have very minimal security. Sadly the world isn't like that. So because greater security is needed changes like this happen. -

I play just fine on a DSL connection that runs about .7 Mbs.
For that matter I stream movies just fine on it too.
Where the increased speed would benefit you is downloading large games or movies regularly.
And really the game itself will run fine on dialup. Ie 56K. Its the patching and downloading where the speed of your connection really benefits you. The ads about how fast such and such an internet service is are pretty much deceptive because very little besides downloading actual files needs very high speeds. -
Does your public IP address change say daily? It's in part based on that and anything that causes your external public IP address to change will force you to reverify.

The 10,000 points you get in beta are purely there to let you test the store with. You won't see that many points live unless you unlimber your credit card and buy them. -

Do you need to be invited or? I've been a subscriber for the past year.
Yesterday evening they announced in game from the ADMIN channel that the beta was being turned off at 7:00 PM Pacific last night and wouldn't be brought back up for playing until 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM Pacific today.
Basically the server isn't letting players in right now even if you can see it sitting there mocking you. -
