Where is the customer support???

I'm having an issue and need immediate help and having sent in a ticket, I still have received no response. Do they even have anyone working on the weekends that does their job at Paragon?? Im locked out of my account and its pissing me off, majorly.

As you said it is the weekend. I know technical support is very prompt and helpful, so I'm sure they will get back to you early on Monday.

If it's just a general issue, you should get a response soon. If it's a billing issue, you'll have to wait. Billing support is not available on weekends, so you'll need to wait until Monday.

This verification garbage is just that, garbage. Its a damn shame that we can't get help on the weekends for a game that runs 24/7. Does anyone know how long the account lockout lasts?

Well, the GMs are there, I know that much. One of them sorted a broken mission for me this morning. Probably nobody in the business office, though.

Well I had a gathering scheduled up tonight with some friends as we were all going to resub and play together but with this going on, its definitely not going to happen now it seems.

Usually I get very quick responses.

But I have a ticket that was created on Thurs that I haven't gotten a response to yet. Which, in my experience, is unprecedented.

Are you saying that you have been gone for sometime and just coming back this weekend and that you were not an active user when NcSoft had us all reverify our account info and security questions a few months back?

I was locked out of my master account when they made this change. Took maybe 30min to get my account questions reset using the links in the NcSoft support knowledge base.

I didn't have any of the id numbers they asked for or box serial codes. I was able to get my account unlocked with my Date of Birth and my master account name. Hope the fix is that easy for you.

Well Im locked out and its been over 2.5hrs and i cant do crap. I answered the questions to what I thought were the correct answers but obviously something wasn't right and i figured the lock wouldn't last that long but guess I was wrong. So, here I sit waiting on either the lock to expire or a response, neither of which seem to be in any hurry...Just checked out that link and if its wanting the serial keys then all is doomed as I installed the game way back in 04 and wouldn't even begin to know where and/or if I still have the damn thing >

It has never taken more than a couple of hours to get a response in email. You do still have access to the account you registered to receive email from NCSoft with right? If not your going to have to go to phone support.

Yeah I will once it gets unlocked. I know the login in stuff it was that stupid *** verification crap that stumped me. Something I entered must have been wrong thats why I'm locked out and i hoped it would unlock so I could try again but it hasnt and nobody will respond to my ticket

Perhaps you could have gotten that stuff taken care of before it was time-critical, on the evening when you were supposed to get together with your friends, rather than trusting that it would all work out perfectly.

Let's be fair: The system, as it worked the last time anyone whose hiatus pre-dates the changes used it, wouldn't have presented any particular problem, and someone who had no reason to suspect the new system was there wouldn't have considered very much lead time necessary. It's hardly likely someone who's been away for a while is even going to be aware of PlayNC's - let's be honest - slightly crack-addled new Security Features until crashing head-first into them. I'd been away since fall '09, and I had no idea about them until that happened. Fortunately, I wasn't in any great hurry.

Anyway, I'm kind of skeptical that patronizing Monday-morning quarterbacking is really that helpful now. I mean, yeah, we're all thinking it, but we're not Frostburnt's mom. At least I'm pretty sure we're not. I know I'm not.

Yes well if people didn't try to steal and break things we wouldn't have to put up with greater security. Security is always a tradeoff between convenience and security. The more securer it is to the more inconvenient to use it generally is. [Note the this doesn't hold true in reverse. Greater inconvenience doesn't always translate into improved security.]

If all you had to do was keep the average person honest you could have very minimal security. Sadly the world isn't like that. So because greater security is needed changes like this happen.

I didn't know my keys either. I believe in those fields I entered that I did not have the information and was able to get an unlock with just my master account name, password and my date of birth.

Really hope it gets sorted out for you.

/petition for being stuck? I usually use base/mission/AH/Ouro/Pocket D porter to get me out of those situations.

And unfortunately for the OP in-game GM support is different from billing support.

I had no problem at all re-verifying my account.

Of course, I thought ahead way back then and chose security question answers that only I would know, that were NEVER going to change. It didn't matter that I forgot what questions I picked, as soon as I saw them I knew the answer immediately.

If you answer the security questions correctly you don't have to go through all the crap with the serial codes.

I know it doesn't help much in your current situation, but it's a good thing to keep in mind for future reference. Questions like your father's middle name and your mother's maiden name are good ones to go with, as they won't change and will probably be difficult for someone else to guess.

I just had an issue and it took 4 days to get it fixed and it got fixed. There was about 20 bill at stake but they got it done for me and it was complicated but i got only good things to say for them at the moment.

All is well and back in order as it should be. Rescheduled the get together for this evening and fixed my new verification tags with much more remember-able answers to avoid future issues.
