Anyone remember what Pocket D used to look like?

I've been trying to remember what Pocket D looked like before the tiki room, monkey fight club, vault reserve, etc. were added over the years. Can't recall any of it. Does anyone remember what was there before all that stuff?

Are you refering to the Paragon City Dance Party that it was before Pocket D?

If so, then it was just like the old style Carnival of Shadows wharehouse with lasers and music.

edit oops I take to long to type

No, he meant before all the additions that have been added to Pocket D throughout the years, like he said.

Pretty much just blank warehouse-style walls were there where everything currently is, just like generic, typical buildings were where things like the University/Market/etc are.

No Tiki room no door to it no area there. The vaults weren't present either on either side. The cage match area on the blue side was not there at all. Just remove those areas and the doors to them and it is the same.

Paragon Dance Party was essentially the last room found on most warehouse maps with laser lights and a couple of pieces of furniture. More of a moving rave feel than a permanent place.

Pocket D didn't have the Tiki Room, the access to the Ski resort and the monkey fight club weren't there.

Where the University is now in Steel Canyon, used to be the best spot in the zone for hunting Clocks toward Defeat X missions. Still miss that building.

Wasn't Monkey Fight Club originally somewhere else? Seems to me it was tucked away somewhere in the Rogue Isles and got moved to Pocket D because blueside-only players (back in the day when that could happen) wanted access to it.

It's still in the original Sharkhead location as well as the D. As i recall before the various expansions were tacked on the areas where they are now was just generic warehouse walls.

I guess that would explain why I have sometimes heard the monkey fights going on whilst standing near Lorenz Ansaldo

There is a Freakshow mission (and also a Carnival version i believe?), wich kinda reasemble how the old PDP looked like. Lemme dig through some screenshots, i think i still have some.

Just to clarify, the OP was asking specifically about the Pocket D and what the additions to it looked like before they existed.

To those that wanna see the PDP, though, there's an AE map that uses the same theme as it. Should be under Unique Warehouses, will be a Skulls related one. That'll pretty much be it.

You can still walk into the place through a door not far from him. There's not much to see inside though, iirc, just an empty cage, some chairs and such...

Aside from there being occasional monkey fights, I think Joe Young and Cornelius (operators of the Monkey Fight Club) show up at the Sharkhead one as well. They may be random spawns, or they might be permanent fixtures. I don't remember.

To differentiate it from the masses of identical warehouses in Sharkhead, it has a giant monkey (it's literally the size of the door!) "painted" on the side of the building beside the door, with one hand held up, wearing a boxing glove.

There are several "real" missions that use this map as well. Pretty much anytime you get sent to break up (or commit) a villain attack on a rave - and there are an unusually high number of occasions when this happens - you'll be sent to the rave warehouse map, the final room of which is basically the PDP. If you go inside and there are strobey laser lights and the music from the Pocket D lobby, you're there.
