That's my understanding, Freckles. The general consensus on the controllor forum is that it isn't that big of a deal. A slight downward adjustment is hardly the same thing as being beaten senseless by a nerf bat.
Very nice guide, in my opinion. A++++, would read again!!! -
Same. And too bad, since all the glowing reviews made me mighty curious too.
-
Have those tables been redone recently? I've used them in the past, but I don't remember them looking that good. Anyways, they're very, very useful.
-
I'm having fun from all this. I hope that counts for something.

When you walk into a building that has an elevator near the lobby and think to yourself "Hey, that was easy to find! And I didn't even have to fight my way to it.... wait... this is real life." At least I didn't try to defeat the receptionist.
-
I've always wanted to try something like this. Perhaps when I get rich enough, I will. In any event, I enjoyed reading about your experiences!
-
My most fun class to play is whatever alt I happen to be on at the time.

If you are not on a trial account, you can start them at level one. You have to go to one of the computer terminals in front of the contact holograms. From there, you pick and accept a mission or arc. Then you go to the contact holograms, which by this point will probably look much different than it did when you had no mission. After you accept the mission from the contact, you hit the data steam behind it.
Good luck! -
Quote:Oh my yes. I'm on a massive mission to actually make them useful. I'm keeping up the front pages of this forum, market, general powers, guide and all the archetype subforums.Wait.... are you allowed to use the tag feature for anything except snarky passive aggression?
Of course, silly, snarky threads will always be in use. For example, lately I've been seeing a bunch of the puzzling "Tunnel snakes rule" in several forums. But if you want to use them to help you research a particular AT or whatever, you have the option now too. -
Oooh, I've got one!
If I take crab powers, then respec out of them, will I still be stuck with the pack? -
I've added the new player tag to your post, as I have with several others. If you click on it, you'll see many posts that pose a similar question. Perhaps you can gain even more insight from some of these.

My main is a kat/invuln. She just plain feels strong. Strong on the dishing of hurt, strong on the abiltiy to take it. I can't speak to the other secondaries from personal experience, but I know that this combo rocks.
-
Many people aren't number crunchers. I almost never look at the in-game numbers myself. But I do appreciate being able to read a well written guide that gives me an idea of how a powerset combo plays. Even if there are several guides in a similar theme, it can help to have a fresh perspective. I'd say that if you have the time, do both!

My apologies, I didn't read carefully enough. Well, the sentiment is the same, whether it is an a avatar or in the message itself, some people just don't like animation.
Of course, there is the ability to turn off images, which I do. Seems to me that would be much more productive than neg repping people out of spite. -
Soom people just don't like animated avatars. I don't, they are are really distaracting to me and I'll sometimes skip over longer posts rather than have the irriation of having something in my periphial vision sending me on the verge of having a seizure.
Mind you, I understand this is a personal perferance and I would never neg rep someone for having one. But I do understand the impulse. -
Welcome to the club. But to get into the super special billionaire's club, you have to rehost the pic with the chat not censored. We need to know what your're trying to hide!

I've writen a guide about useful tagging that you can read by clicking on the link in my sig. Also, I'm on a fairly massive useful tagging mission to make the feature actually useful. So far, so good!

I think that the prices will be dropping somewhat, but because of the increase of supply from letting players pick their own virtual team size, not because of any changes to AE. But valuable enhancements will always be valuable. I really don't see the price of the Miracle or Numina's uniques dropping like a bomb any time soon.
-
Nope, I'm also in the "leave a slot open and eat whatever pops up" club. Some fights I end up with a good half dozen or more random inspiration effects on me. Fun!
As for the change in Kinetics.. well, I'm personally relieved. I've recently leveled a fire/kin up to 50 in anticipation of i16, and thus assumed that the set would soon be gutted as a result (I have luck issues). -
Hmmm. I guess out of that list, I'm a crafter. Sometimes. I mean, I'll check to see if the enhancement actually makes sense to craft. But I don't stress about min/maxing my profit. I list most salvage and recipes (if there are outstanding bids) at 11 infl, and leave it at that. I rarely pay "Noa" prices. I do well enough, though I doubt that I'll be in the billionaire's club any time soon.
But really, what difference does it make how we use the market. People use it as they will. -
But how much more often would you be sniffing the minty freshness of pavement were it not for soft-capping, hmmm?
I wouldn't know myself. I'm not clever enough to really know what softcapping is, much less how to go about doing it. Luckily I've got a decent health care plan. -
Well, moving to a new pad is always kind of a drag. Still, all might not be lost. I've heard that the search features of this software are much easier to use than on the old. Also, we have a new feature called tabs that organize topics as well. I've personally tagged hundreds of threads, and some might be useful to what you have lost. Just type in whatever you are looking for, say information on "softcapping defense" and see if something populates as you type (in this case, the tag "softcap" will show as you type).
Still not as easy as having your old favs, I know. I miss mine as well. But do believe that the overall benefits to this new forum will make up for it in the end. -
I know that the information about the Rule of Five is out there, but I do see how it would be pretty easy for non-forumites to miss. I'd be all sorts of in favor of the sixth of any particular set bonus "redding out", maybe with a hover tip explaining the rule of five. At least that might stop some confusion on this issue.

I think the OP was entirely justified. If the tank decided he didn't want to play with that particular group for whatever reason, he should have just given a quick "Guys, I gotta go" or even "Guys, this just isn't working for me" and then quit out. Deciding to stop in his tracks and stay in the team? Very childish, and no matter how good of a tank he was I would have one-starred and kicked him, were I the star holder.
I do play a tanker occasionally, and there are things that do annoy me when I do. Throwing a temper tantrum and going diva isn't the way to fix a problem.
