Quote:Were you online when they buffed stalker crit% in teams? Because there were posters on the scrapper boards crying that this infringed on their role and that now, a. Stalkers were OP, and b. they deserved the same buff, but more.Meh, I'd love to see the day when someone says Stalkers are overpowered.
I think my favourite quote from that whole thread was 'Well, we can Solo AVs, so we don't need more survivability.' -

Quote:If it was low-hanging fruit, they'd have given it to us. They've shown in the past that making dom secondaries is about as hard as making blaster secondaries, and blasters got a secondary just in the last round. That's why it's a "low hanging fruit". If you want the most likely thing to happen, that would be it. If you want a new set, it's more likely they would spend the time making a new set instead, something like Radiation Control or a gadget based control set.
They could have given us anything, and it'd have been more than what they gave us. It could be that this is a minority-of-a-minority effect, where, as such a small population, anything that is done has to be weighted against the fact that only a small number of players will be impacted by it positively, or it could be that they're planning for something that involves new art assets and significant new mechanics.
I believe it is the former. -
Clearly you're all wrong. Gravity is fine, you guys just don't love it enough and see just how special it truly is.

The not-breaking-hide on a stalker thing is a byproduct of how all pseudopet powers interact with stalkers. If they got Freezing Rain, it wouldn't break hide either.
(Not sure about the scrapper answer, sorry.) -
It does not, by default, do KB. It does knockdown. The person was either overlevelled, or had socketed the power for KB.

Love this power to bits on my claws/ea brute. Repositioning for cones is lovely.

Any word on that 'special thing' dominators are getting?
No?
Oh well, look, another melee set! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
(yeah, yeah, I know, I know. And the set at least looks like it took some effort to construct and animate.) -
That's pretty much exactly how it always goes though. Every writer thinks 'Well, okay, we're doing something new, but I'm sure I can fit in this' and that's when you should start reaching for your topiary clippers. There's already too much comic stuff written because writers are bereft of ideas and are instead trying to produce to marketing notions, and then you get the problem of writers trying to impress their 'personality' on their work instead of letting their work speak for them and that's why these days, you have Kevin Smith and the 80s had Alan Moore.
(That's meant to indicate enormous disdain for Kevin Smith, by the way.) -
Nope. Seems it - but the PBAOE damage aura is nuts, and all the other melee powers are pretty comparable.
You have to chase your targets around as /elec, though. -
Quick one, really; has anyone done the math to work out how much -rech you need to shoot for?
My current projections have a need of around 125% to get perma-light form without Hasten. That's familiar to me, being around what you need to get permadom, without hasten. Anyone know if the threshold for permalight with hasten is around the same 70% that permadom was? -
It's not ST that I feel really needs assistance - Propel could probably afford to be reconsidered ala Energy Transfer - but KD in the AOE is a non-awful idea.

Quote:Then, speaking as someone with over two hundred levels of experience with mind, you play mind very badly and should not speak so authoritively about how the set performs.i've played pretty much every character build you can make. trollers/doms tend to be my fav of them all. I've killed people with all sorts of lame builds. I'm telling you, in the grand scheme of things, Mind control just doesn't bring the damage outside of indirect damage with confusion.

I think that Gravity can be fixed without violating the cottage rule. I also think that the set needs some major help.
An idle thought, while I'm between things: Add a Mag 1.5 stun to the AOE immobilize. Purely additive change. -
It used to be that level 20 was the point where characters transformed, where the builds blossomed into all the good fun stuff. That's when you got stamina, and suddenly 21 was slots for stamina, and then 22 was SOs to put in those slots and it all avalanched from there.
These days? I'm finding that I'm champing at the bit for slots. Slots slots slots. So many power choices and I have so few slots to work with before level 35 or so.
Interesting how things change. -
Dark gives you Soul Drain, which if you're building for teaming, is pretty sexy with fire's extant AOEs.
-
It's okay, I'm still bitter about Revenge of the Sith, too.
-
Sounds to me like someone's still butthurt about what was it, Issue four? That is funny.
-
We are a direct damage AT, with two primaries. This was the reason for the change, and I do not appreciate people who don't understand Castle's work ******* with it. :|

You're a good man, Diell. Thanks for everything.
