They both have max target 10.
Is it more likely that you'll hit 10 with foot stomp than spin? Sure. It's certainly easier.
But there is no way that SS can out AoE DPS claws. Not when a claws user can sit back and repeat the attack chain followup, eviscerate, spin or followup, spin, shockwave. But the claws user won't even need to do that. For any given amount of recharge, spin will always do more DPS if all 10 enemies are being hit. IF the claws user never uses eviscerate and shockwave for even more AoE DPS.
In Take 2, (standard SO slotting) claws won. But Take 1 (cranked to the gills enhancement plus brute SS used gloom) showed brute SS beating scrapper Claws for single target damage output.
However, both of those threads were done before we found out that brute claws' damage got tweaked upwards.
I really should revisit those results at some point.
SS might still beat Claws on single target, but there's no chance that it can get anywhere near claws on AoE. -

Edit: And Bill, according to your thread on the scrapper forums, doesn't Brute Claws out dps brute SS by a large margin? -
Some recommendations for starting out:
Brute: Dark Melee/Super Strength/Stone Melee/Claws/Warmace with Willpower
Corruptor:Fire/Dark, Ice/Dark, Sonic/Dark
Controller: Fire/Rad, Plant/Rad
Dominator: Plant/Fire
Scrapper: Spine/Will, Dark Melee/Will , Claw/Will, Katana/Will, Katana/Super Reflexes
All of hem solo well. -
Thug/dark and Thug/Traps would be my choice.

Can do pretty good pulls of the 2 avs in the third ITF mish as well. If you want crap powers look at poison trap in /poison or serum in merc/

So my second villain created when i started playing just got a new lease of life thanks to finally getting SO´s and power customisation(sp?').
Instead of looking like a poor bison clone he now is more like a steampunk communist gunman.
Recolored steamy mist, gale, hurricane, snow storm and nado with dustlike colors (havent figured out a good replacement for freezing).
Anyway some questions:
- Soulbound Allegiance +Build Up, was thinking of putting it in bruiser but would it be better in enforcers or thugs since they more than 1 pet benefit from it?
Has anyone tried putting the Gaussian proc in enforcers and have you had any successs with it?
Any other good Procs i should consider for thug pets? Currently in the build i´m planning i have explosive strike and sa build up in bruiser, both +def in gang war(move to nado and put resists instead?) and neg damage in enforcers.

Twilight GRasp has a very wonky radius as well were a minion a few feet behind can get healed and another standing infron of me and not get healed at all.

I would try a dom for something like that. Ice/Fire(consume) or Ice/Psi(drain psyche)

They would also probably replace caltrops. Double caltrops would be fun though

I wont bother with hazard zone sweeping when you have the new difficulty settings.
DA with firebased toons was nice but now you can just get a BP radio in talos and sweep clean and reset. Increase difficulty until you outlevel it. -
Well havent played my plant/kin much but i made it to 9 and i solo -1/6 fine as long as i have purple insps. Should pick up considerably post so´s

I can run Smite, Gloom, MG, Smite, SL with just 35% global recharge
If theres a kin on the team i run Smite, Gloom, MG, Smite, Gloom, SL(Can run it with hasten up otherwise but consumes far too much end to leverage with DC.) -

Does the performance shifter affect anything when slotted in the power?
I'm curious, I once got the proc as a drop and thought of testing it. I got the salvage required for crafting it and transfered my bane to test.
On test I played some random missions while tracking my max endurance, endurance and recovery for one hour and I didn't see or notice any changes.
What's the deal yo?

When i had my high recharge and procced out build on my ill/storm(pre lightning storm changes) i had a hard time putting a dent on gm´s solo.

Most mez protection scales with level. Look at the stats on toggle mez prot powers on your own characters while you change your level slider. -

GMs have levels, just like normal mobs. They have specially coded behavior that makes most effects scale so that anyone attacking them appears to be their level, and vice versa.
Still curious though of Krakens lack of mez protection and debuff resistance compared to Jack.
