Do I have to give up on Infernal?

On a serious note I had a similar problem on my fire/regen. Are you using insp?
Without insps, it looks possible.
Infernal has 50% fire resists, which means you need ~190 DPS or so to outdamage his regen. Fire/Shield can easily reach 230 DPS with AaO (some builds get to 260 or above, I think). It's going to be a long fight, but it should be doable.
With insps, just pop rages and call it a day.
Most problems in this game can be solved with a trayful of reds
I'm guessing you've tried this already, but if you haven't already, you could herd up some demon fuel to give your offense more kick. Depending on any restrictions you're placing on yourself, you could always OD on inspirations, too.
Also, crunch out the DPA of your powers accounting for 50% fire res and 25% s/l res, it may change your prioritization compared to an unresisting target.
You have to watch out, though, because the Demons have a fairly insane-o version of Invincibility. I've never poked them with a power analyzer to see what their toHit bonus is, but if you don't have at least a bit of headroom over the softcap I think you'll notice them applying an annoying amount of damage. I know I've noticed it on my Nightwidow.

Worse, I might actually have to plan out an efficient attack chain!

If you're having trouble surviving long enough, you can increase your survivability by standing outside his melee range. NPC's have the old 5ft melee range while players have 7ft. It's quite possible to stand at that range and have an AV never bother to close the gap those last few feet to hit you with melee. Infernal's melee damage is much much higher then his range damage. (It's not as drastic as, for example, bobcat, who only has 1 ranged atttack, but it's still quite significant). It's easier to pull this stunt with dark since you can also be immobalizing them, but I did it vs infernal with a dual blades toon.
I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.
I thought I had the same problem with Black Swan on my DM/SD after failing serveral billion times. Just stand next to a few Demons and your DPS will increase. I finally got her, with some luck ill admit but no Inspires were used.
Although without SL i could see that that would be a problem. If you could pull him to one of those +regen crystals that are on the map and manage to be able to get the regen buff without him gettin it then i think it wouldnt be too much trouble. Though that would take ALOT of f****** about it could be accomplished.
An attack chain is vital IMO, the only time i break it is if they get a few lucky shots in and I need a lil hp from SL then and there. My chain is Fire Blast, Midnight Grasp, Fire Blast, Siphon Life.
OK, my Fire/Shield's doing great. I felt like a champ after taking down Ghost Widow on first try and so I've started down the Jenkins arc (which I held until I16 to get AVs without going Invincible).

BUT!!! Infernal has insane fire resists!
Do I have any chance with this guy? Or must I content myself with the EB version?
