Which duo do you think would cause the most destruction?

We don't really have any secondaries picked out yet, but we do know we are fond of ranged pets. Thing is, we aren't sure which would be the nastiest combo.

We figure Thugs/ would be a good duo for the stacking leaderships. Not to fond of the bruiser personally but stacking leaderships would mean we could have 4 of each on all our pets.

Double mercs would mean that they are debuffed pretty much permanently with achilles (can it stack from two different players? I know it can't stack from the same person).

And double bots would be...well...double bots. Let the damage commence.

Question is, which to choose?

Necromancery and Ninjas could be considered in some cases. Ninjas for crowd chaos and heavy single target damage, and Necromancery for decent AoE, heavy single target damage and massive double debuffs from two Lich pets (pretty extreme right there). All up to your play style, although 4 Spec Ops would be pretty tasty.

I recommend thugs/ff and thugs/pain.

Thugs mix well with more thugs, as you already point out.

Soft cap the defense on all pets with ff, and heal whatever damage trickles through with pain domination.

For power pools, I recommend both get fitness, leadership, and concealment.

Note that the personal invisibility power from the concealment pool sucks because it makes you "affect only self", but a mastermind can be GRANTED invisibility and not get that flaw. It also gives a small defense buff that never supresses, and even a small defense buff can be a huge improvement if that's what it takes to get soft capped. If the defense buff stacks, that's even cooler.

The ff can soft cap the defense of the pain mm, but not himself, so the pain mm should take the presence pool and learn how to tankermind while the ff mastermind stays invisible and commands his minions to focus fire on troublesome targets, which the tankermind cannot do without breaking bodyguard mode.

If one mastermind gets the flight pool up to "group fly", and the other gets teleport up to "group teleport", that might be an interesting synergy.

also, not sure how well the bruiser would behave with group fly. That trick would probably work better with robots.

What's wrong with the Bruiser? He's got feelings too ya know.
If the problem is with the hand clap screwing things up, you could always use the second upgrade before he is summoned, then use the first after he pulls up, thus avoiding the hand clap of aggro, plus he's got that awesome fury bar. Bots and thugs would have my vote, coupled leadership and the protbots bubbling, any secondary would be great, especially if /dm is taken for either, then fluffy comes into play as your healer eventually.

One of the most powerful duos I have ever enjoyed being a part of was a Necro/Storm with a Bots/Storm. Masterminds don't have sonic, rad, kinetic, but storm has big big debuffs that let AoE attacks become game-breaking. The plus of Bots and Necro is that attacks are never fully debuffed or resisted. The Necros play inside while the Bots provide the long range artillery support.

I do think an arguement could be made for testing Necro/thermal and Bots/thermal.

Triumphant Defenders Forever
Psylenz FF/Psi, ArticQuark Storm/Rad, Symon BarSisyphus Bots/psn, Max VanSydow Thugs/Dk, Cyclone Symon Bots/stm, Blue Loki Ice/Cd, Widow 46526
HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.

Well at this point we know we are going duo-Thugs or duo-Bots. I will also more than likely go traps since it tends to be my favorite MM secondary. The question is though, bots or thugs...

The massive knockback will more than likely drive us nuts on Bots/ at least until the mu epic, at which point everything just boils in missiles with nowhere to go.

Thugs though, 6-stacked leaderships on pets is just plain fun to think about. Not to mention their damage isn't exactly that far off of bots. Of course they have the suicidal pyro and I'm not to fond of the bruiser personally.

I fully intend to be tankerminding in this duo, so the bots forcefield would help a little, but its not all that hard to soft-cap two positions starting with nothing at all to work from, let alone the FFG. On the other hand, with a pair of thugs all maxed out with leaderships, just sitting back and telling the thugs to attack might work to...

Bah. Hard to pick :P

All the talk of stacked leadership.

Robots have stacked shields

So I would think, the best combo ??/Thermal & possibly ??/Traps.

Softcapped Defenses, Resistances, Heals, and Debuffs! The two of you would have it all

Hey, I could be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure that with two thugs/anything, the leadership from one character's enforcers don't stack onto the other character's.

I also thought that not even the Mastermind benefited from enforcer leadership...

Bot shields at least hit the mastermind.

You are indeed wrong on the first point, correct about the second.

The stacking of leadership across MMs is the basis for Thugs super teams.

Thugs/thermal + thugs/thermal or thugs/thermal + thugs/dark

Thug/dark and Thug/Traps would be my choice.

Embrace the knockback........

Two Storms! Your choice of pets.
Two users that can utilize Hurricane to move the pieces around to stacked freezing rains are both incredibly offensive and incredibly defensive at the same time. Throw in LS and Tornado as you see fit and watch the havoc commence.
