I have an Intel i7 with a GTX285 (so pretty good spec really and they CoX should run deently on that).

Hi everyone. Just a quick one. Anyone ever experienced this?

I have a CoX running on Win7 64. And when I play GR everything is fine. No problems at all.
The moment I try to play CoV (haven't tried CoH yet) the game crashes about every five minutes (blank screen).

Updated all the drivers and still the same.

This is really weird as GR is running fine. Also all my other games run fine.

Anyone had a similar issue and has a hint for me maybe?

EDIT: Sorry, I should have mentioned that I installed all the newest drivers and still no luck!

Well my Resistance Crusader Demon Mastermind will definitely go villain.

Did I get it right that no matter which way you your Praetorian Career goes (Loyalist, Resistance) you can choose Hero or Villain no matter what?

So even the Resistance Crusaders could go Hero then?

Yep, would be great if they could improve Paragaon City that way.
Proabably wouldn't work merging the whole town to one zone, but if they could reduce the amount of zones by merging several districts together would be great.
Might even help with the teaming as more people will be in the same zone.

There isn't much to be done about the Rugue Isles sadly, but I actually pretty much like them the way they are.

There is one downfall of having Praetoria be so nice. Once you outlevel it, you back in Paragon and Rogue Island.
Now the developers did a good job in upgrading the graphics of PC and RI, but you can still see the aged design there a bit.

Guess there's truth in that.

Sometimes I wish there would be less negativity here. Could scare newbies away as they could think the this game is bad.
But then the WoW boards are a nightmare and it doesn't seem to scare away anyone.

You can even find Doom posts on there that say that WoW will not survive till 2011!

I reactivated my account for Going Rogue and pretty sure many others did too.

But nevertheless, I was always surprised about people crying out Doom.
Sure CoH doesn't have WoW numbers in subscriptions, but compared to so many other MMO's it has a solid membership base and from what I can say looks healthy enough.

It's quite normal that people leave MM0's the older the game gets. Now that the zones are (where) so empty in CoH shows us one thing too. CoH has a lot of zones actually and the gameworld isn't small.

It's nice to see so many people per zone at the moment, but naturally it won't last forever. But pretty sure GR will lead to a few newbies and old returners to hang on to CoH for a while.
I just hope the effort that was put in GR will pay off as Paragon Studios would have deserved it. I'm having loads of fun again.

Okay just got GR and created two Chars now.

Being happy to try out GR I enter the tutorial zone and all is fine.
At the end where I have to decide, I think for the first char I'll go with the Resistance.
After that I leave the tutorial zone only to suddenly get only loyalist missions (the one from Marauder) where I'm fighting against the Resistance. That is kind of weird. Did I do something wrong there or is that intentional?

Bit confused now really.

Awww, did I hurt your favorite game too much that you are getting touchy.

I don't keep playing CoH. I just signed for a month recently to see if I have fun with CoH again.

And it didn't work out sadly. Just played a couple of hours so far.

The last issues didn't bring any content I'm interested in, so the game started to bore me. What bores people and what keeps them playing is everyones own taste and decision. It's simple as that.

The last issue I liked was I12.

if power customization is the main feature, then it will be another boring issue for me.

Be assured that while there are some elitism issue with a few vets, most of them are usualy grand.

Sadly Paragon City (and Rogue Isles) used to be a friendlier place (myself noticed that it's getting rougher out there).

Have fun playing an Arachnos Soldier. Very enjoyable to play.

Well I'll never say never, but at the moment I seriously doubt that.

Something bigger has to hapen for me to come back. Either a bigger Issue or maybe a graphic engine update.
Now, I'm not a person that needs great graphics (I still play old adventures (like Monkey Island and Discworld) regulary), but the atmosphere is simply gone.
Doesn't look real enough, doesn't look like a cartoon (sorry hard to describe).
If they made it look more cartoonish I sure would like that.

Not impressed at all to be honest. This is definitely not an Issue that can bring me back to play CoH/CoV.

I have to say that for me 2008 wath a rather dissapointing year when it comes to CoH/CoV uptades. Too few updates an not too my liking at all.

Let's see if I14 can convince me. As of now, my account will stay disabled.

Maybe preperations for CoH2?

I think NCNC should at least have the honesty and say to the German players that they have stopped the forum support.

Sure some people will wander of to play WAR and later WotLK.
Some will return. Normal thing really.
And someday CoH will stop, also normal.

I personally still see CO as the main competitor (of course it depends how good CO is in the end).
