I Have Become A Farmer

First, A little about myself. I have been playing since release. It took me 854 hours to make my first lvl 50. I never farmed or power leveled that hero or any other hero. That is until AE. The ticket drops on all boss arcs and the gains made from cashing in those tickets for bronze and silver rolls plus arcane salvage have been incredible. I have over $100 million on most of my heroes. Yes, I could resume playing regular content but the call of the ticket has me going back again and again. Run an arc. Trade in tickets. Post at WW. Rack in the profit. Rinse and repeat over and over. My addiction to tickets has led to my massive farming habit. I cannot stop. I have become a farmer.

Then its time to actually become a REAL farmer and go farm for PURPLES.

You said you have 100 million on your alts?

That is nothing. I - not unlike MANY others - have Billions sitting on alts.
That is what Farming PURPLES gets you. Tickets do not offer such lovely items as this.

Enjoy

I have tried the purple farming but I found it a little slow for my taste. The AE and tickets offers me the rush my heroes need right now.

I don't farm or grind for inf. Yet, strangely enough, one of my characters (Risommer) has more than 250 million inf from selling purple recipes. And that was from doing missions prior to hitting level 50.

Thats not typical for me though. Some of my characters are flat broke, while others have millions. Luck of the draw.

If you're having fun, that's all that matters. Congrats on finding a new way to enjoy your game.

I remember when I thought 100 million was a lot of money.

(drools thinking on how many costume changes she could do with it, and without having to place the toon on the dayjob to get the discount)

...I haven't (deliberately) paid for a costume change in years.

But yeah, once you're 50, if you ain't farming purples you might as well be farming dirt.

People pay alot for my dirt...

Pangean soils used to cost like 9-15 million. Thanks to the AE they are dirt cheap.

Really.

But, I am happy you are having fun.

I don't remember them ever being that much and I played when Inventions came out.. they usually went for about 6-7m

I remember when they were that much during primetime on the weekends, I also remember when Deific weapons were crazy expensive like 10 million.

Now we're just getting carried away. It was a dirt joke. It wasn't meant to be serious.

All my red salvage, I just save it in the base to build the purple recipes that drop to me... Quick and easy

Reminds me of when I11 first came out, and the market hadn't stabilised yet. Costume piece recipes were through the roof!

Of course, AE brought all that back...

Perfect_Pain,

Is it necessary to be disdainful like that just because someone isn't farming purples like you?

Please farm purples... and stock the market. Matbe one day the prices will drop then.

As it is... people are farming in MA without chance of getting purples. But with a lot of inf on their name. So less purples in the game... and people with more inf. This makes the purples so expensive that for a casual player they become unreachable.

What is the best way to get a high chance of purple drop these days?

- The Italian Job: The Godfather Returns #1151
Beginner - Encounter a renewed age for the Mook and the Family when Emile Marcone escapes from the Zig!
- Along Came a... Bug!? #528482
Average - A new race of aliens arrives on Earth. And Vanguard has you investigate them!
- The Court of the Blood Countess: The Rise of the Blood Countess #3805
Advanced - Go back in time and witness the birth of a vampire. Follow her to key moments in her life in order to stop her! A story of intrigue, drama and horror! Blood & Violence... not recommend to solo!

Oh, I don't mind people complaining about farming, but it seemed a bit over the top to be all "You're not farming *good enough for my standards*."

They're Pool A drops, but very rare and only from level 50+. So, at that point, most mobs have a chance.

As someone who's encountered level 17s who try to farm, I must say: If you're gonna farm, at least be good at it.

Normal (mostly lvl 50) content. Outside of AE. In my experience, it helps if you're on "invincible," but not necessary.
