Okay just got GR and created two Chars now.

Being happy to try out GR I enter the tutorial zone and all is fine.
At the end where I have to decide, I think for the first char I'll go with the Resistance.
After that I leave the tutorial zone only to suddenly get only loyalist missions (the one from Marauder) where I'm fighting against the Resistance. That is kind of weird. Did I do something wrong there or is that intentional?

Bit confused now really.

Regardless of which path you pick, you'll be doing missions for Praetor White when you start out. If you chose Resistance, Calvin Scott should have mentioned that your job starting out is to "play along" and earn your place in the Powers Division with White first and foremost.

At level 4, you'll get connected to your faction contact (Scott for Resistance, Marchand for Loyalist) and they will in turn introduce you to contacts more suited for whatever side you chose.

What Laz said.

Also as a member of the Reisistance, you can still do missions for Loyalist contacts. Just that you are working undercover, during some of these arcs your faction head contact will contact you, and you can make a choice to swing the outcome in favor of your faction.

Ahh, I see. Thanks for the replies.

Calvin mentions that you might have to do some "questionable things" in order to maintain your cover. The hope is that, despite the sacrifices and having to "defeat" other Resistance members, eventually you'll be elevated in the ranks to a place where you can do the most damage at the right time.

It's not an easy path - some may even call it morally reprehensible. But Praetoria is filled with these sorts of situations.

Basically, you're a superhuman who has been recruited into Powers Division. You have no choice, it's essentially a draft. The Resistance says, "You'll pretend to be working for the bad guys, but we'd really like you to work for us. After you do a few jobs to get in White's good graces, then we'll start giving you the real jobs."

In short, you start with Praetor White/Marauder either way. He's still doing some tutorial stuff, like introducing you to "zone glowies" and the like.

Some people will try to reduce it to a choice between blue or gold, but it isn't always that simple. Sometimes the blue choice is the morally wrong selection. Sometimes the good guys hands aren't clean.
