  1. Super Reflexes can provide herding capabilities quite easily. Spec your build right and you can have nearly perma-Elude which is the cream of the cookie butter.

As for Broadsword/Regen, personally I think the issue is Broadsword. And not just that but Lethal Damage in general which everything and their mothers pretty much has some moderate resistance to. Luckily I'm cranking through Accuracy boosting IO bonuses because those Rikti Drones used to annoy the hell out of my scrapper using BS. But I had that issue with my DB/SR stalker as well.

Regen as it is though is potent even for a stalker. The key is knowing what to trigger first to initiate "huddle mode". :P

But yeah I think it depends on the character that is level 50. I can think of a few that wont be involved with incarnates. Seraph just works because he's into mythology, lore, legend, and the like so one way or another he would be subjected to these origins via his line of work.
  3. Seraph is "On The Path" to absolution but I just don't Roleplay it openly and most people have no idea. I have plans as to how it'll evolve, being gifted the Flame of Wisdom by Athena (perfect weapon against Cthulu "It's darkest before dawn") but he doesn't go around toting about it. So it's more secretive, he doesn't know the extent it'll take him and more or less he treats the path just like any other relic investigation.

That being said, I choose to acknowledge the Task Force initiation for Incarnates so Seraph easily recognizes the man he was to be in the future as a near-god therefore connecting the dots rather quickly upon taking part in Apex and Tin Task Forces. It's a subtle feeling, he knows he's stronger upon revisiting Praetoria but he can't put his finger on it and every encounter makes him remember Ramiel's words and the vision he saw through the crystal of his future self.

Typically I don't RP on the mission about it. Haven't really met anybody that preferred it so it would be kind of... intangible for Seraph to constantly say "Yeah, I was in the neighborhood so thought I'd tag along." Which to me is kind of weak for a good start arch. I usually want reasons otherwise I RP Seraph as not even being there at that point in time while still helping the team oocly. Although it's probably because I just haven't found the right mix of allies to group with that is RP dedicated to doing missions, then I might change it up a little.

I agree. It's easy to retcon ones self by simply remaining quiet on the RP and not criticizing another player just because they don't strike your fancy. But ridiculing them doesn't make you any better. Simple as that.

    Speed TF's

I don't mind as long as the TF is accomplished. Really speed run or not, if it's 50+ I'm still getting shards which means the more mobs you kill the more likely you'll get a shard drop anyways.

Yeah LGTFs and ITFs are less about speed runs and more about the speed of clearing it all. My last ITF I was with Eat_Me and Lady C, we did the TF relatively quickly but we still managed to clear good portions of each mission out and had gigglefits when Imperius chose the stalker (me, respectively) to follow and kill-and-mame.

Of course lower TFs, expect speed runs. Shards nor uniques from from anything bellow 50 approved so Posi and such haven't lucked out on this and honestly I don't mind it too bad. I'm in most TFs for the badge ******* so if completing a TF in 12 minutes via gimping the mission, as long as it doesn't burn me out and allows me to hit up the next following; I'm down for it.

I PUG but like another said, the friends I have when I'm on are either dedicated to RP in the D specifically or are not on when I'm up and about.
  7. I don't even bother with advertisements like this. Waste of time to get fumed about it in my opinion, person is paying for something that if they timed their log-in duration right they can get relatively for free. :P

  8. Sad thing is it's the D and players can do it. So most who will eventually try to do said thing, wont even pay attention to the unanimous decision most of us share on the matter. That's just my advice, do what you can and then give it up. Day 1 maybe fun and enticing but a day or so passes and someone will think it's "funny" to ruin anothers day.

If they could just limit specific powers to activate in only certain areas, it would be fine. I don't want to ban the Ourobos Portal form the D entirely but limiting it to the club side would be fine.

As for MMs, only one person out of the many MMs that use pets actually used them respectively instead of carrying around a horde. Unfortunately this one person is shadowed over by those who summon the pets specifically to grief other players and in doing so ruins it for the many others who gave ideas some thought for some pretty convincing storyline. I'd say Pets especially shouldn't be allowed in the Chalet for this festival.

Let alone lending the role out for "rent" may not go as planned. AE maybe the best choice for completely controlling your story while allowing other friends to maintain their sense of individuality. This is primarily why I myself favor leaving stories open ended (no role is defined and set in stone before but rather after a person takes part) and rarely conclude a plot of my own in the event others are involved.

Pretty much it in a nutshell. AE influenced it but the market was borked before AE was even in beta. :P

  13. Have one as my former main back when I had a go at the first time of DB's release. Honestly, a little on the heavy endurance consumption and very situational. DB's effectiveness, unlike most of other Stalker primaries, is heavily reliant on controlling your target (be it weaken, strengthening one's self, crowd control, etcetera). Your primary becomes very reliant on those attack chains which ultimately do the damage. Unfortunately DB kind of lacks the whole high damage parsing but makes up for it in speed.

SR, to me I still think it's godsend. Tanked Honoree with regular SOs two years back, don't think too much has changed for the build in particular. But unfortunately that's all I could do, couldn't kill him because the damage just wasn't making that big of an impact to out parse his invince recharge.

Good build but there's just some variables that can make it quite frustrating. Luckily however switching targets doesn't disrupt the chain so if you're quick on the tab key, you can continue chains quickly.

Over all though, my opinion is you'd might do a better job with Ninja Sword if you're for the blade-style melee.

Ah well - my first attempt at the STF was also a failure, back in the day.
Meh, that's pretty much the spirit of it. Practice makes perfect and experience in most cases comes before success.

I think the only sound strategy is good counter regen and high DPS. Good methods to countering her regen during range fighting (via use of vet powers for non-range DPS users) of course are the envenomed daggers and then a duo, if possible, of caltrops and rain of fire. Gets her out of the blue field and into the open so you can lay into her. Until she gets out, you just peg her with range attacks while PBAoEs make her panic. Good times.

Sometimes it doesn't work out perfectly but in the end, sooner or later you'll get it.
  15. Maybe I'm gullible but I heard a full team of scrappers were able to kill her. Course when I ran through it a few times I kind of figured that was next to impossible due to the lack of ranged DPS, however envenomed daggers probably played crucial roll in that. Over all as a practitioner of SR, I have to say when she does hit you obviously it stings like a truck load. Her chance to hit is a little on the high side for even some of the highest capped def players.

My suggestion would be to just farm Tips daily so you can get Alignment Merits. In most cases you can purchase the recipes relatively easy as long as you give time on attaining each Alignment Merit. It's how I got a full 6/6 of Obliteration for my Headsplitter and almost ready to complete LoTG.

The market has been whack since it's introduction. Simply because Influence was so high due to farm teams. It's not bad but that's what caused such bad price balancing.
  17. Plenty of factors must be taken into account. Most importantly is time of day and what day of the week. Like any MMORPG, this isn't your backyard. What maybe flexible hours for some, may not be so for others living 3 hours further down the time zones. Some days of the weak also provide higher chance of invites. I work weekends and I'm at work all night on Sundays, so for my case I'm not around until way later in the AMs.

Also the Incarnate system just came out. This content is strictly for level 50s as endgame. People maybe ditching their alts for the time being to get into the seats of their veteran characters and running them through the content. Be patient and let the novelty wear off. As a simple observer and even participator, there's been Mothership raids daily consistently since I19's launch to where RWZ has been split into 4 shards at the most with 1 and 2 full, if not all the time, most of the time.

When Going Rogue launched it was the opposite. Plenty of lowbies were around and nobody was doing the high end TFs. Learn the feel of the metagame and you kind of gain an understanding of the average mentality of players on Virtue. It just takes patience.

Ya know I was thinking that was the case. So what may cause them to be infinite? Or is it a an illusion where people aren't clearing the waves completely so the forth or fifth didn't come out. We tried earlier yesterday and the poor Wolf Spider got upset because he was convinced the lack of spawns was due to one mob or two being alive which stunted the wave progression. I wasn't sure who was right so just wanted to make sure.

You don't HAVE to be alpha slotted, but you'd better be. All enemies are at level 54 and without a boost in your alpha slot you will be debuffed to level 46.

It's duo-able but I myself wouldn't advise it. Cole's Debuff makes you trying to hit much harder (since they'd con +4 or something) and on top of that they hit you like you're just a pet. And even with Alphas slotted, mobs such as the Tentacles, swords, and Champions of War will chew you down quite easily (Tentacles more so because they have concentrated PBAoD attacks so fighting one alone isn't a big deal but four at once... don't try to melee them).

Is it +8? I keep hearing mixed. I just know it treats you like you got exampled down.

As for not running around with an Alpha-slot filled. You'll take a beating. Only archtype I think that dodges that is a non-situational support archtype. So healers or buffers that don't require mobs to get the buffs or heals off. Kinetics can help Stone tanks as well, boosting their movement speed to prolong the ST's life expectancy if squaring off against the Maiden.

This is my problem though in that the mission is unforgiving to mixed players. You really need a certain trend one or the other to really do anything as opposed to just being good at what you do.

BM apparently has a %45+ To-Hit against soft capped players. And this bugged the crap out of me because if she'd hit me with her sword 95% of my health would disappear. WP blows for a stalker when getting into this confrontation.

All I can see for adds is trying to crowd control, which stunts focus on BM becoming a little harder to take down due to lack of concentration on her. MMs are another class that becomes a difficult one to take part in this since their pets are easily wiped out.

Are the spawns infinite though? I thought you clear three or four waves. I ask because I was in a team earlier and we were fighting only her yet it seemed as though the entire map was cleared. I'd like to get some kind of confirmation on this though as I'm not sure if it's a bug or not.

    Bs/wp

I'm curious, was a good set up for Parry. I think I can manage 6 slotting it but what IO would one say works best to produce the best results? In a Scrapper build I see Touch of Death (6/6) but are is the debuff going to work better than LoTG? Or is it because the user capped their recharge already?

Agreed. As one who actually enjoys solo and light-group content, it felt nice to having to run a miniature TF just to unlock it. Almost soloed the thing if it weren't for Heroone being so OPed :P But all in all, I feel content with having to do a mission to unlock it rather than "Hey you got a badge for logging in! Issue 19: Q & A

I have a question, we can have 1 of each right? (IE: Cardiac, Musc, Nerve, and Spirit). So if I goto make my first Cardiac while having a Spirit Tier 2... the Cardiac wont overwrite the Spirit, losing it?
  24. So I just beat her on a second try:

    1 Tank
    2 SoAs (1 Window / 1 Bane)
    1 Blaster
    1 Dominator
    1 Scrapper
    1 Stalker (myself)
    1 Brute

After clearing all her adds all we would do is basically take pop shots. Jump in when her area was clear, gang up, then fall back, and resort to any range attack. I see that powers like Fire Rain especially help because in the event that she puts down the nanite storm at her feet (whatever it's called) she'll run out and into the clear where we'd gang up. As a bonus the PBAoEs also slow her regen preventing her from recovering too quickly if range attacks aren't dealing enough.

I agree here. Unfortunately I doubt that will change as people will just use the roof of the door or something to tank her without having to worry about Dodging at all. Honestly my best suggestion would be to treat the PBAoE attack based on her health percentage. Or something a little less constant.

Also Stone Tanks shouldn't be made Primary Tanks as they'll get killed consistently due to slow movement. I'd advise having a more mobile tank focus on Maiden and, if a Stone is in your team, have them deal with the adds. As crummy as it sounds, unless if they increase the activation time; Stonetanks are at a disadvantage.
