DB/SR build input please

Long ago, a friend built my build for me. Sadly, with a virus, I lost all of the info for said build and like a dummy, I didn't back it up. With i19 out, I tried to rebuild my stalker on my own. But she seems...wrong. Not like she use to be. So any input would be wonderful!

Do note that I put extra slots down in Sprint and Brawl since Mids' is missing the inherent pools. Think of them as Sprint/Health and Rest/Stamina. I do hope to give her sets but first want to get her up to speed in what she should have as powers and the like.

No one wants to try their hand? Pretty please?

Are you using just regular IO's?

I plan on getting IO sets. No price range on the build. I just threw things in for the moment on the build.

Have one as my former main back when I had a go at the first time of DB's release. Honestly, a little on the heavy endurance consumption and very situational. DB's effectiveness, unlike most of other Stalker primaries, is heavily reliant on controlling your target (be it weaken, strengthening one's self, crowd control, etcetera). Your primary becomes very reliant on those attack chains which ultimately do the damage. Unfortunately DB kind of lacks the whole high damage parsing but makes up for it in speed.

SR, to me I still think it's godsend. Tanked Honoree with regular SOs two years back, don't think too much has changed for the build in particular. But unfortunately that's all I could do, couldn't kill him because the damage just wasn't making that big of an impact to out parse his invince recharge.

Good build but there's just some variables that can make it quite frustrating. Luckily however switching targets doesn't disrupt the chain so if you're quick on the tab key, you can continue chains quickly.

Over all though, my opinion is you'd might do a better job with Ninja Sword if you're for the blade-style melee.

I love DB to be honest. My first stalker is such and now at 50. While all the things you pointed out can be a flaw with it, I have since learned to work around it. Yes, I don't do much damage [though I always thought I did o.O] but I always seemed to outlast others with SR. DB is a slow killer but never had anyone that I teamed with complain about it or myself.

Thank you for the input though.

Alright. Sat down and thought it through a bit more. What I think my friend was going for was a high defense stalker since DB puts out little damage[?]. I left everything blank for now but going to look through the sets and figure out what may/may not work.

If you have -any- thoughts or input, feel free to drop then down here or private message me. Thank you!

Now then! I sat down again and picked the brain of a friend who is better at crunching the numbers for this than I am. He told me the pros and cons about certain slots and many other things which I...might not remember later on.

Anyways, he had to jet mid-way, but I kept on chugging away on the build in the works. So far, I think I like this one. As you can see, I slotted it with sets to get a rough idea on it all. If you have -ANY- input on what should and shouldn't go where and when, let me know. If not, I think I will use this build.

Once again, thank you all for your input on this and helping me out. It means a lot to me.

This recent builds looks really good. I have to say though it is a shame you don't have more slots to throw into hasten but with DB I think with one it is just fine as you can chain attacks easily. But still, looks very well thought out, although maybe a bit on the expensive side. I have found though each person has a different value when it comes to building with IO sets, so perspective varies.

My DB character is only level 32, but I have found that it is a harder hitting set than claws, and the endurance drain isn't so bad given I have it paired with EA. And the best part is you don't have to use the combos as the set works really well without out them. I like having heavy hitters one thousand cuts, sweeping strike, and vengeful strike, and two of them are also cones.

Biggest reason why I don't make claws characters anymore is that DB offers the control, and fluidity claws has accept with slightly more burst damage.
