  1. First off, I love the idea for this contest. Really nice to test the creativity of the community, and update the old loading screens while you're at it.

I too would like to know how many submissions we may enter. My current guess is seven: one of each frame. Either way, I'll probably be making them for all zones, tweaking them, and then settling on my favourites before the competition's over.

Edit: Another question. Is mild 'fix' tweaking allowed? Such as slightly brightening dark screenshots? Or is this strictly a copy, crop, and paste job?

Edit #2: Oh dear, another question. Title consistency: When entering the name of the zone, do you want the title all in caps, first letter in upper case, or what? I think some consistency needs to be established for the screens to look good in-game. The default text would imply all caps, but I was hoping for some clarity.
  2. See, these are the kind of things that I buy boxes for. As the EU isn't getting one, I think I may have to get an american one shipped by someone for me. My CoH and CoV boxes have looked lonely for weeks now.

Oh, I must have missed that. Thanks for the reply, and my apologies for an unnecessary topic.
  4. I didn't want to post this at all, but I can't really leave it any more. When I transfer a character, it tells me that I have six tokens left (now three). Has anybody successfully transferred more than six times? If so, how does it work? Do you get given six more tokens once your first six are used up?

I can get by happily on six transfers, and would be grateful for them. I just want to know how many I've got so I can transfer accordingly. Thanks in advance.

This is pretty much how my Night Widow started out, too. As far as I'm concerned, she's been a vigilante since I made her. Now I get to reflect that in-game, and her Longbow uniform can actually fit in outside Agincourt.

    One Eighty Two

I've had a storyline that I'd wanted to undergo on my main for some time now, and when they announced Going Rogue I put it on hold because the story involved my character going full circle. When I considered that meant I could up my badge count, I got a little bit excited.

I'm still finishing off the Story Arc list in Ouro, but as soon as that's up I'm gonna start my li'l journey over to the dark side, aiming to pick up as many badges as possible on the way.
  7. 1) Always /em talk when talking to a contact and always /em cellphone when calling them. It's easy as I have them bound, but people still ask about it.

    2) Always make my character busy when going AFK. This too is bound, "em newspaper$$afk" for example.

    3) Always use the back-left elevator.

    4) UI window borders must be coloured to match the character.

    5) Walking or running characters must stick to sidewalks. If crossing the road, one should look for a nearby crossing. If there are none nearby, looking both ways and crossing when the road is clear is acceptable. Back alleys may also be used.

    6) Heroes with Superspeed must stick to the road for the safety of the public. For the same reason, heroes with superjump should stick to rooftops, avoiding roads and sidewalks.

    7) Unless the character hovers or flies, they must use stairs to travel up or down in mission rooms.

    8) When in sewer maps, characters must avoid touching the waste if at all possible.

    9) If the characer wouldn't have it, they don't have it in their tray. Vet powers, ninja run, mystic fortune, secondary mutation, jetpacks and costume code powers all fall into here. I've hardly any characters with any of them.

I don't know if these really fit as 'rules'. During the ninety-five percent of the time I'm soloing, these are absolute rules. When I team however, anything that slows me down by anything more than a smidge isn't considered necessary. Rule number nine is also forsaken on task forces. The team comes first.
  8. For anyone who wants to see what the stances are like before they buy, someone on my server asked for snaps. They're not the best snaps, but they're better than nothing.

    Hero Stance 1
    Hero Stance 2
    Villain Stance 1
    Villain Stance 2

Edit: Can't believe it took me that long to find something so simple. /em stancevillain2 does the trick.
  9. I'm smiling and I haven't even logged on yet. It may have something to do with the warning in the patchnotes that the launcher's linking me to.

    Europe United

This sounds like a nice li'l thing you're all putting together. I'll be one of those staying in my current SG with my characters, as I'm happily set in my ways with them, but I'll definitely be joining the channel on that empty, unused tab I've had sitting around when I get on tomorrow.

Nice to see the community giving back to itself.

    -HighFive!-

I'll be staying on my home server. Not that we've exactly got as much choice as the Americans or anything, but I'll be using these transfers to rename those characters that have been sitting there just waiting for a name change token to run by. Around five or so characters, I think. Other than that, I'll be staying cheerfully on Union.
  12. I've deleted three. Two I did so to remake them, and another I plan to remake once the feeling comes along.

I feel the need to do so sometimes because the way I play, make builds, earn experience, design costumes and write backstories is all constantly evolving. Plus, these particular three got to fifty before their time, I feel. Two are my first hero and villain fifties, both of which I stopped caring for around forty, but rushed the last bit for EATs. The other level-pacted with a friend and it all went just too fast.

The remade characters now sit comfortably with their new lives at around level thirty. I'm in no hurry to finish them, and I'm enjoying myself more.

    Win/Win
Also, a server list merge is all about choice. I get to choose to keep to Union, play with the characters I always have in the way I always have. Others can choose to play on one of the more populated American servers to get easier access to teams.

With a server merge, you'll get a lot of people unhappy because they've been forced into playing on a server that isn't 'theirs'. I like to keep to myself and close friends in-game, and I'm in favour of a server list merge. More choice.

That'd be Posi. I don't know how much he'd be exposed to its development, but it'd prolly put him on edge anyway.

I can also add that I used the Midnighter temp to ghost through the final mission of the Operative Renault SF a few months ago. The Coralax didn't seem to mind the midnighter running through their cave at all.
  19. Edit: Able to get second character into Brickstown without a problem. Nothing to see here. PMed to get the thread nuked.

I think that reward of David sketching winners of the raffle in their costume is an extremely awesome award and cool idea.
While I'd normally agree with you on this, I think they're talking about people who're actually attending getting Comic-Con reminders to their phone. I may be totally wrong, though. Tired.

  22. This has already been answered, but I thought I'd come say how chirpy this thread has made me. Not one mean, sarcastic, or mocking reply, and everyone trying to help out.

    I love this community.

I could have sworn I'd seen it in a GR screenie, but didn't want to dig it out. Now you've said that, I'm fairly sure you're right. In which case, I'm not expecting to get it, but I hope we do. I think I remember that I loved most of the costume pieces we saw there, and bar the double-capes (technical performance jiggery), I'd love to get my hands on them.
