  1. I love my [Team Transport] Vanguard jet.

    That is all.
  2. If this VIP Tier 9 exclusive costume content becomes "anybody can buy it" why on earth would I ever waste tokens on Tier 9 costumes again? Tokens are more valuable than points which I get for free anyway.... I'd buy consumable tier 8s instead.
  3. #1 if I have to choose one. I'd prefer you not do it at all.

The amount of border space for art will result in smaller text size on the page. It goes from approximately 20% of the page for art to 40%, which is a huge difference.

I'm visually impaired, I already have to magnify the page. This will make it considerably more difficult for me to read the forums.
  4. New laptop Windows 7 64 bit

The launcher downloaded quickly, but I don't see a download progress bar. Instead it says "staged install state" and the only feedback I get on the download progress is if I load into the game and go to the character screen, where it gives a state (0% Stage 4) and never progresses.

Do I need to be logged into the game for the download? Should I not login and wait? Is there any way to know the state of the download?

    MSRs and stuff

Having a blast with the Nemesis Invasion - Tax E is leading a league right now.

Liberty still has some life left in her.
  6. RE: The anniversary event, the Nemesis invasion, has started. Heroes and Villains Assemble!

    Peace out.
  7. It's permanent and account wide for all characters.

It's not controllable or destroyable. The icon for it is the same as a vanity/buff pet. You click it, it summons the vehicle, then the vehicle gives a teleport prompt. You and your teammates (within 60' if I'm reading this right) get a teleport prompt. Then you are teleported to the team's active mission door. When you get there there's no flyer, it's gone.

Neat, will be using it for RP purposes.

One bug: You can't link the power in chat.
  9. I bought it.

The recharge is 30 minutes. I've not yet tested what "in range" is for teammates, so I'm not sure if they have to be beside you, inside the same zone, what.

I'll enjoy it, but I wish the recharge was faster considering the cost. 15 minutes would be ideal.
  10. I would like to use this, but neither of them properly install. The only thing that installs is the uninstall file, startup icon, and desktop icon.
  11. I get it, there's a queue.

Why does it take so long sometimes (a minute, two) and why is it almost instantaneous other times. It doesn't seem to matter what server or time of day, sometimes it's fast and sometimes incredibly slow.

No other game I play does this.

In their defense, I do believe that putting out a new set that can be sold for real money makes more sense from a business perspective than fixing an old broken set that everybody's given up on anyway. Plus new sets are cool. So I don't really blame them for ignoring EM. But I do blame them for nerfing it in the first place, because that was just an incredibly ignorant decision.
But everyone hasn't given up on the old sets. I play my 'old' sets more than the new ones, even thought I've bought several. I spend nearly all of my time on the old characters that I really enjoy. I've been subbed for nearly eight years. The old sets are what keeps me here and improvements will keep me here for years more. I'm nostalgic and I like what I like. New sets probably won't. If I want new I'll try Terra or another game.

    Staff - I like it.
Titan Weapons - I gave up at 22. I hate Momentum.
Beam Rifle - I gave up at 6. It just didn't excite me.

Energy Melee - It really needs looking at again. With all the high AOE sets that are out there and have been released it really lacks in comparison. It's sad when damage procs are the only way to get real performance out of the set's only AOE Whirling Hands. The Energy Transfer (ET) nerf was in direct response to EM Stalkers in PvP, but the nerf was across the board. My Invuln/EM tank really did not need nerfing. My SS/Fire outdamages her and if I really wanted I could hardcap S/L Resist to match Invuln, but I still prefer playing the Invuln/EM because I'm attached to her after four years.

The perception may be that new sets are where the money is at, and that's true obviously for store purchases. I'd be interested to see where the playtime is at. Subscriptions bring in money too.

    Account Security

I would like to see an additional account security feature for logging in as the forums use the same password as the game account.

Another NC Soft games uses a pin with a randomly generated keypad to prevent keyloggers from capturing the pin. I feel that my account there is very safe. (I won't name the game since it's against forum rules to make specific game comparisons.)
  14. I love my defenders, but I don't make defenders now that I can create hero corrupters. The corrupter inherent is just too good and I can have the same powers. The numerical difference between defender and corrupter support is insignificant, but the damage output difference is huge.
  15. I bought a total of 79 Superpacks; 7 of those were with tokens. I didn't get the Black Wolf, but didn't want it anyway. The rest of it I've been putting to good use and don't consider the money wasted at all.

I've been using my 3rd tray for 6+ months now. *shrugs*
Probably 3rd and 4th purchaseable trays - looking forward to those!

    MSRs and stuff

As American Valor and I co-lead our MSRs I tend to err on the side of being more lenient than I might otherwise be. I'd prefer everyone at the MSR to be 35+, but I am not going to refuse to invite someone if they are below that. I still expect them to do their best to contribute.

If too many lowbies becomes an issue we'll handle it, preferably by having people switch to characters that can better contribute. I consider Mothership Raids to be a community event and not a community PL service.

Whom I have absolutely no mercy upon are the AFK leechers. Real life happens. I know it and am pretty understanding. Cat choking, garage on fire, roommate trying to commit suicide, spousal aggro, kids throwing a fit, etc I get that. If you need to go afk for a few just say something. If it's a real emergency just go and send me a tell later. That said, I'm not dumb. I take player notes on everybody and use the player rating system to note people I want to keep track of, so it's likely I've already put down something about you. Real examples: great tank, dual boxes TFs, impatient, good at pulling, funny character bios, awesome raid leader, nice person, @So-and-so's wife, mean to newbies, AFK leech, rude chat, petitioned for hate speech, plays on Exalted too, just a few I've used. If I see Ukase has gone afk and been gone a long time I'm going to assume there's a real life issue. If I see someone I've noted negatively before I'm going to assume otherwise.

Even if you're only level 2 I expect you to do your best. It may be a lousy best, but do it anyway.

The biggest benefit of a larger enh tray has nothing to do with drops. It comes when it's time to respec, to either hold more to put on your new build, or take more off, or just to sell back for full value IOs that you'll never use and aren't worth selling in the AH.

The larger tray is worth it to me, but then I've done field crafter on one character and am in the process of doing it on another. I also move enhs from one character to another fairly often. YMMV, I just enjoy doing it.

    Oro Badges

Badge credit for Ouro missions (additional difficulty challenges) seems to be spotty. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't even though it's not a badge mission.

I'm not sure what's happening, just that I'm having to do more arcs.
  21. Explain to them that as VIP they will get points each month. Those points can be used to buy the sets without spending any money.

They may not realize that if they've only just subscribed.

I'm surprised at the limited options for staff as well, and that there are no additional options to pay for. Unless you want a tech polearm or a broom you pretty much just a stick.

For goodness sake, take a look at the other games' options for ideas of what is possible.

  24. If you're really concerned just put a note in your character description (Menu > ID) saying you aren't a Paragon Studio employee, like this:

Note: I do not work for Paragon Studios
  25. Yes, the old 'run to' plugs in the old content need to go.
