When I said that much, I meant in a way that it unlocks costume sets, not just one piece. and secondly as I had mentioned it is one of two options, and globally unlocked for that set piece so it should be expensive. The price can be negotiated to less, but considering it is a buy once and forget sort of thing I'd suggest it be about that much.

After all, you pay in time both ways, either to do the missions/wait for the levels to get them, or get enough merits to afford it. Seems like a fair compromise to getting low level people to have unlockable costume options and being able to keep the "carrot" for the players to keep playing. Only this allows you to pick the way you want to get it.
  2. Forgive me for the quick reply on this but (and I don't know if this has been suggested yet) what about a compromise?

Have the unlockable items be able to be bought via merits ( say 10 A-merits or 600 reward merits) for the entire account, but only if it has been checked that you have done the unlock for say.. 3 characters. Maybe even just one.

I'm not sure if the system is able to do that but seems fair enough to give things that most players would have to work for at a price, but enough of a price that some may just want to run the actual content.
  3. Quick Reply to the thread.

Yeah no. The 5th wouldn't really want/have female soldiers in their groups, fascist tend not to be the best feminist at heart.

Circle of Thorns are ghosts from thousands of years ago, yet again, I don't see people who have lived long enough to have seen people owned before would be very progressive.

Nemesis is a fairly similar story as the CoT. A reminder that Nemesis grew up around the 1800's And back then most women didn't get to vote let alone fight in the military.

So all in all I can't see that sort of thing happening. At least with those guys, Family and Freakshow I could see having females in their ranks.
  4. You probably got Flash Arrow and Acid Arrow mixed up. Flash arrow is unresistable.
  5. I have a feeling you are right on the money there.. to use a poor pun.
Golden Roller is more than likely Midas himself attached to a machine but uses his car to still be mobile and not give away his little secret. That being that, If you did the Shelley Percy missions would hint that his genetic condition is getting worse and may be dying.

The problem with the Gold Brickers is just that actually, After trying to solve Midas's condition (whether or not it is true, as is suggested by the souvenir at the end of the Percy arc.) Is quite literally the end of their reason to exist. They wouldn't really have a point past that.
  6. Work with me here, but I actually think that if this were to be told, I'd want it to be a two part movie.
The first of which is the early years of Paragon City. Give a brief back story of The Well of the Furies and Statesman/Recluses thing, but leave Recluse fairly vague except for the standard fight scene which would have to happen to show their respective changes of heart. Then end the movie with what in lore is a big turning point of superhero affairs, Nemesis's Attack known as Brass Monday. Explain a bit (Maybe through Nemesis bragging Doctor Doom style, his origin) Then his defeat and escape, leading up to him calling for revenge leading to him hinting about the Rikti War.

Part two is a flash forward to some minor league heroes and and first Rikti War invasion. Keep The Surviving Eight in there as side note characters , have States pull a Independence Day-style speech And fight off a majority of the Invasion ( For a nice Movie style blow up, show him taking down the Rikti Spaceship that is now in the War Zone.) And while he is doing that, the other heroes essentially follow the War Zone storyline down into the final fight with Nemesis and Hro'. Our minor league heroes then get the passing the Torch speech from the Eight and at that point is where we reintroduce Stefan Aka Lord Recluse in what will probably considered a new threat to be fought in a hopefully new movie.

Now I know I'm going to get a lot of slack about using Nemesis instead of Lord Recluse as a main villain but Nemesis is really a lot more important in lore and deed than Recluse as far as backstories go. If we were to do an Origin bit about Paragon City and not just "Statesman: The Movie" I think it would be a better fit. Also I know I pretty much cut out the entire thing about the Vanguard but there honestly wouldn't be enough time in a movie to explain it without suffering from Mortal Combat II syndrome.
  7. That particular mission as I hear it is on a timer now.

    Enjoy!
  8. An idea, or a modification of this idea is not exactly to make it a requirement to have a minion/LT/Boss mixture, but to actually make it more appealing.

Let's say that the XP total in the mission is based on how many different mobs you use. For example, using only one type (let's say LT or Boss conned mob) would actually be a XP minus (albeit a small one) to what we have now, but using a mob based on a minion/LT/and Boss mixture would actually be a small improvement in XP gain in total. Allowing those who want a "challenge" of a boss battle the opportunity but making it so that the standard mob system is actually in the same league as farming in the AE system.

Granted I can see at least a few ways this system could have issues, but it seems like an interesting idea to me, at least.
  9. Just noting for the record, As I recall one of the devs said that illusion would probably be altered into a mastermind primary rather than a control primary. Which, to me at least, makes a lot more sense.

This was brought up the last time we had this sort of thing happen. I want to say it was Positron, but I can never be sure.
  10. Like what, exactly?

Standing around yelling "FIX IT FIX IT!" doesn't really work if they don't know what you want/mean.
  11. No. No they really don't.

    And it doesn't.
  12. What the hey, I'll throw a Yea in there. I could actually use the color scheme for a few characters I have in mind.
  13. Psst.

Quick note: The reason why Reichsman looks like M. Bison is because M. Bison costume was based on the standard Nazi Commander uniform, just colored red instead of green.

And for the record, I would love to play a mission based on Candlejack, I think it would be fu
  14. The fact that people like you would probably ask/tell us to only put it on knockdown instead of back. Therefore people like you altering our playstyles.

    Not a good idea.
  15. Yeah. Ask Frostfire (check lore for details!) how it is being an unregistered hero why don't you. You know Prison isn't a fun place to stay.
  16. Well, It all depends on what sort of help you may need, Do you have an issue with controls, soloing, how to work better with a group? I'd need to know more info to help out more.
  17. Actually it doesn't rain in Paragon City because Nemesis has a weather machine and for some reason hates rain. If I were a more witty man I would make a joke about rusting here, but there you go.
  18. I'm really going to have to agree with Daemo.

Gravity has been called the red headed stepchild of control sets, and /Psi assault is a very, very, VERY late bloomer. It's really not a good idea to put both of those together, but if you really want to keep this concept going well.. Good luck, you will need it.
  19. I felt like I had to sig that line, Obsidius I hope you don't mind.
  20. Going back through his previous posts, he's complaining about the AE exploit fixes ( at least in the last two posts he is).

Either that or he's a time traveler that has found out that Going Rogue is going to have ED2: Electric Boogaloo in it.

It's really either or, but gun to my head I'd have to say it's the first one.
  21. Ahahaha.. Oh you're serious?

    AHAHAHAHAHAHA.

(for the record, I recall reading that this game in total has buffed almost twice as much as it has nerfed. I saw it in an Arcanaville thread, it has to be true. So no, let the balancing commence!)
  22. Which is exactly why I am countering your signing with mine.

    /unsign

I'll admit to laughing at that a lot more than I probably should have.

    Well done, Good sir.
