My Robots/Traps MM, who was renamed "Dame Demolition" at level 50 because playing her was like playing a pack of turbocharged nitro-methane-fueled bulldozers.

Maps would be War Witch, I think. She's level design. It's an excellent idea.

And.... YES. That would be such an awesome thing, to have this as a costume set. Sexy Jay? You know you wanna.

A stalker on a team can contribute a lot. I know a lot of people frown on 'scouting the map' but calling out any surprises in the spawn ahead is a good thing.

Also, when you're really good at laying an AS on anything that would prove problematic (Tsoo sorcs, Carnie illusionists, Succubi, Sappers, and so forth) then your team will appreciate not having to deal with them for very long (if ever).

I'd brag about all the RCO's my stalker has 'terminated' over that last four years... but then someone would accuse me of farming them.

Awesomeness.

At the time CoV was released, it was a paid expansion (altho' both sides got lots of new 'stuff'). You needed both games to:

* Increase character slots per server from 8 to 12
* Unlock bases
* Unlock the 'other side'
* Unlock the costume options for both sides (altho' this was buggy and some things have never recovered from being munged up, inc. female faces).

Now, we fast forward nearly a year later, when GvE came out. This was when they 'bundled' both games in one box, and also announced that you no longer needed to by 'both sides' but that only one game was needed, INCLUDING the original CoH or CoV releases. Any boxed Co* game gave you full access after this point.

And yes, there was a lot of [censored] about people having 'spent good money' on boxed games (or code equivalent) when they didn't 'need' to. The same reply was given then as I'm giving now: EVERY full game purchase includes a month of play, meaning that the 'extras' you paid for (slots, CoV access, costumes, rocket packs, VIP access, costumes, emotes) are actually $15 CHEAPER. If your intention was to get them anyway, then you just saved money.

Theoretically, someone could go around to the closeout/discount stores such as Big Lots, buy one of each boxed game that NCSoft has put out including the collectors editions, and end up with a LOT of paid play time and a plethora of extras, for a lot LESS than if they were to buy one game and then pay the monthly fee to get the same amount of paid time.

It's an older game, but it has continued to develop and change over the last 5 years. I have no regrets for buying the CoH Collectors Edition, the CoV initial release, the GvE game (multiple copies as I have two accounts), and the Architect edition, plus all the goodie packs that have been available in between.

Keep in mind that the first GM that will get the petition is some schmuck in a cramped little cube farm in India, with little or no experience with American comics.

They'll type the name into Google and if it gets a comic related hit, the "Render Generic" button gets pressed.

tl;dr version - don't advert that kind of event on the official forums.

You'll get along famously with the folks in the Defender forums, I can tell.

The way I look at "healing" is direct damage mitigation. When all other measures (buffs, defense, resistance) have failed and someone just took a nasty uppercut to their glass jaw, an Empath (or other type of healing defender/controller) can infuse the unlucky one with a bit of health and thus keep them standing in spite of themselves. Or, if they HAPPEN to get KO'd, revive them.

I prefer the Kin heal, because it does several things:

1) Heal the melee'ers clustered around something
2) Apply a minor End drain on the target
3) Apply a minor Regen debuff on the target (stackable)

Transfusion, properly slotted, is a fast-cycle AoE heal that can give a LOT back. There is a to-hit check (which means sometimes it fizzles). But, if you combine it with Transference, your Kin can rapidly sap a target, AND keep the team surrounding that target both healthy AND energetic. Empaths can do the same thing, but their regenerative and recuperative auras are on a slower timer and the instant-refill powers are single-target, not AoE. Kin of course, has no rez... but that's why you bring the Dark and the nasty evil yumminess that is Howling Twilight (AoE ally rez, AoE stun/regen debuff/damage).

Because of the 'hook' Vanessa has via the masks, it is tricky to roleplay a reformed Carnie, if one sticks to canon.

So far my end runs around the problem have been:

* Mask shot off and shattered - Cosmic Seneschal (Carnie outfit, plate covering bullet scar)

* Mask forcibly removed via magic (resulting in amnesia) - Electric Seneschal (carnie outfit, elec/elec blaster)

* Character is mindblind, and kicked out of Carnival because of it (Bitter December, ice/cold dominator).

I'll go ahead and toss in La Diablesse as a companion/foil for Demon Trix. Unlike him, she isn't out to 'be promoted' in the demon hierarchy, as she's a bit arrogant about her standing as one of Lilith's 'daughters'.

That doesn't mean she's not out for some recreational corruption - tempting mortals and feeding off their desires is her main form of entertainment as well as her sustenance.

Google Update doesn't need to be running all the time. Shut it down - if Chrome needs an update it'll tell you when it starts.

I would recommend downloading the latest Catalyst drivers for your card, then using DriverCleaner to get rid of the old drivers before installing the new ones. This is on the off chance you've a corrupted DLL, or an 'older version' DLL that's being told to do something it doesn't support (you'd be surprised how many 'driver upgrade' programs drop the ball on version control, and keep the old files!)
