PS I have grouped with kreegor for the entire journey to lev 50 and beyond. Kreegor's build is pretty amazing and can handle pretty much all the TFs we have run together as well as farm like a mad man.
guess haters will be haters... -
Perma ML
Global recharge: 91.25, with Hasten 161.25
Ranged Defense:50%
Melee Defense:55%
AOE Defense: 47%
Regen: 12hp per
Recover: 4end per
My attacks:
Single target at 50: Sub, Dom, and Gloom. (Tele blast use as a set mule and for when I malfactor down.)
Aoe at 50: Psi Tornado, Dark Oblit, and Psy Wail.
Anyway my recharge is so fast I pretty much machine gun my single target
attacks.
As far as AoE goes Psi Tornado and Dark Oblit are both up in less then 10-15 seconds and Psy Wail is up in less then a minute and 30 seconds.
I also have confuse up in less then 10 seconds per cast.
I am not done with the IO sets I want nor do I have my accolades.
I don't try to gimp my fort by trying to be a troller. My fort is built like a blaster with amazing defense.
If you want to built your fort like a troller roll a damn troller with leadership pool.
Once i19 goes live I will fit in assault from leadership grab vengence and teleport friend. -

Quote:Maybe invest in fraps or game cam. It would be nice to see you in action rather then snap shots of the highlights.I soloed multiple AVs simultaneously with my Corruptor (without using any temp powers), it was pretty crazy.
Good job ether way. -
I tend to put 3 recharge in tar patch. Being able to double stack tar patch can lead to some amazing damage. Tar patch should be up as much as possible. I also tend to put 4/6 dark watcher set into dark servant and the 5th slot is a accuracy IO.
I build for more recharge and recovery then S/L defense or resistance. On a dark I don't ever feel the need to get tough or maneuvers (maybe as a LotG mule) due to massive to-hit debuffs. So if you get rid of fighting pool thats 3 powers you are now free to grab.
So with DN, Dark Servant, Fearsome Stare, and mitigation from Howling Twilight you don't really need the fighting pool. If your goal is to be a farmer of some sort then maybe yes. But for that I would go with fire/dark.
So maybe snatch more of the leadership pool with vengence as a LotG mule. Perhaps grab some attacks you could not fit in.
Oh darn just saw it was a i19 build which was suggested to you. In that case by all means grab fighting pool for that :P. Then gain slotting would be an issue.
If you take anything away from my advice it should be slot fluffy for tohit debuffing, maybe try to get by with out fighting pool, and tar patch should be up as much as possible. -
Quote:(Aww cute *tickle tickle* dude it's CoH not some raid heavy game where you need to min/max and get the right gear.)And once again the ability to separate subjective and objective is a skill that many people lack. My enjoyment of the AT doesn't preclude the absence of my ability to objectively discern where the AT lacks relative to what else is available in the game. For some people it does.
The OP specifically asked " Does the Blaster AT literally become mediocre damage and low survivability?"
His questions have little to do with the subjective aspects of the AT do they? What does the AT being fun have to do with their damage and/or survivability? What better way than via numbers would you suggest assauging his requests for information about their damage and/or survivability?
Unfortunately your conclusion that you find the AT fun should also coincide with the conclusion of this discussion is about the same as me saying that I enjoy driving, therefore I should be able to get an excellent mortgage rate on my house. They make about as much sense.
I apologize if you feel that your statement should have had more impact, but being that it is irrelevant to the subject of this thread...
Really?
The impact of my statement is the fact that the game is beyond easy.
Getting into a debate as to the damage and/or survivability is futile at best.
Acting as if a few percent of damage here or there will do when compared to other ATs really does not matter. With the ease of play in this game just about any combo of powerset is viable. Just about any AT is also viable.
It is not like there are any encounters in this game that require some sort of epic set up. So yes I say cause they are fun play what you like and enjoy it.
The OP specifically asked " Does the Blaster AT literally become mediocre damage and low survivability?"
To the above I say no. I say no because this is a casual game and if you enjoy the AT that's all that matter. If you are not having fun cause you feel you die a lot or your damage is low, then don't play a blaster.
But anyway let me let you get back to being a fan boy and not bother with this thread again.
take care
P.S. Play what is fun for you. If you go by numbers then we would all be playing the same few power sets and ATs. -
The game is beyond easy and if you have to fill a thread with numbers to prove/disprove a blaster being viable then bravo
Why A Blaster?
Cause they are fun.

Night Widow: Specter Zero Night Widow
I would like to go. -
I found this fort build in a guide and had a quick question.
Is this a good build or no?
Keep in mind this build is just meant to provide leadership buffs and a good attack chain.

I will bring my Fire/Dark Corr
Name: Craft Works -
-
Quote:How is it that your profit was only 80 million after posting a IO for 400 million? Are the fees to post it that high? Cause that's over 2/3s of the money lost in market fees. That assumes 320 million in market and crafting fees for 80 million profit on a drop you got for free.It doesn't have to be a purple to command huge prices either; there's a few recipes that do randomly drop from foes that go for 100 million or more; and they tend to drop more frequently than purples.
There's billions to make on the market with a little effort; for example there's recipes that sell in the 100k range that with about 700k in salvage and crafting fees can be turned into a crafted IO that sells for 10 million. I recently had a Ragnarok purple recipe drop on me, that recipe was selling for 250-300 million and crafted it was selling for 350-400 million. It used roughly 5 million worth of salvage and crafting fees so I crafted it and put it up for 350 million. It sold for 400 million so I pocketed about an 80 million profit (after market fees) by selling it crafted instead of as a recipe.
There's also easy money to be made by buying level 50 junk rare recipes for 100 - 500 inf and selling them to the vendor for 10,000. It's a bit labor intensive, but it's a very reliable method to build up a bit of operating capitol.
I mean I got a one of the lesser purple set IOs yesterday. The IO recipe sold for 80 million with a 4 million fee so 76 million profit. With your math I should have gotten 4 million with 76 million in fees -
You guys should maybe assume that they don't have ninja run.
p.s. I broke down and finally got ninja run myself. -
Dirtydan both the purple build and the one you listed with out purples are the same build. Meaning they both have the purple sets.
-
Pure healer defenders and corruptors, defenders more so. Why show up to heal damage when I can show up and prevent damage in the first place.
Melee of any type unless I roll it to solo. Just feels useless on a heavy control/debuff team. Always wild to watch my fire/dark corr kill 15 targets in the time it takes a melee to kill one. -
Quote:I thought electric armor had a self heal in energize?Claws/Elec and Claws/Fire would be my picks. Claws/Elec has a bit more "roundedness", with all their resists, but don't be fooled by them necessarily being *tougher* then Claws/Fire. The lack of a reliable self heal means that Elec can be put down just as fast as fire. What Elec *does* have over fire is pretty much unbeatable exotic resistances, and unlimited endurance.
That said, Fire has damage. Lots and lots of damage.
So in summary..
Claws/Elec- Well rounded defenses, unlimited endurance, a real Tier-9.
Claws/Fire- Damage juggernaut. -
Thank you guys for the help. I am going to put my SS/SD on the back burner for now. While I was waiting on a reply to this post I was messing round with a claws/elc. I think I am in love
Anyway the plan now is to just use my Fire/Dark Corr for farming.
(anyway no further replies are needed as I wont be leveling this build toon)
Once again thanks you. -
Can someone help me out with a SS/SD build that's:
1. Not an AE PL'd build.
2. Not ninja run as main travel power build.
3. Not factoring in IO sets for slotting and powers right off the bat.
I have been searching like a mad man and everything I find is IO'd out and using ninja run. I have found a ton of information that has helped so far. The main issue at the moment is putting that information into play. Maybe I can search some more, but I am starting to get a bit frustrated.
Having just returned to the game on a new account I don't have a ton of cash. So I have to plan my build for SO enhancements. The goal is to use this brute as a foot hold character to work my way up to farming so I can support my future projects.
Thank you in advance
p.s. feel free to message me about this post -
Why did you take boxing but nothing else from the fighting pool?
-
So does everyone pretty much have ninja run these days?
I have been looking for build ideas/help on the forums for the last few hours and pretty much every build expects the person to have ninja run.
Are the days of a travel at 14 or a bit later due to a temp travel gone?
Do I have to buy the booster pack to have some of these builds work?
ugh I did it again...
Rather then playing the game I am stuck on the forums too scared to experiment with my own builds.
