What crazy things do you do with your Corruptor?

Last night I joined an all Corruptor ITF and offered my Fire/Dark corr as the tank.

I was killed once in the 2nd mission when as it can happen my Defense shield rolled all snake eyes and I got the instant death drop. After that we proceeded to successfully roll thru all the missions - in most cases we killed everything in the way.

On the third mission we avoided the valley of lag by killing everything. When we moved to the AV's I pulled the entire platform and we fought both AV's and their friends at once. One newer player was amazed - he kept saying what about the last AV?

On the last mission we walked down the road to the left slaughtering everything. Once at the platform I pulled the entire platform and then we got ready for Romulous.

I was able to paint him with darkest night and pull him into the grass on the left. Then with taunt (yes, I have Provoke on my corr ) I was able to keep full aggro on him as we debuffed and slaughtered him. Other than my own death and 2 others dying to ambushes we rolled without any dangers. The one new player was freaked out - he kept saying how can we be doing this?????

What crazy things have you done with your Corruptors that caused people to be amazed?

What were the power sets on the team? Just curious. Sounds like it would have been a ton of fun!

We had a team of 7 and near as I can remember:

1 - Fire/Dark corr (me)
2 - Ice/Rad
3 and 4 - DP/Kin
5 and 6 - AR/Traps
7. DP/ something

We didn't have bubbles, thermals or cold shields.

It was all damage + buffs/debuffs for the win!

I used to run Rad/Sonic build with my twin brother. We would cast Disruption Field on each other and to make it work more effectively, we took Jab because Radiation has terrible ST attack chain. Not that Jab is great but it's is kinda odd on a Corr. Maybe it's crazy? :P

Apparently, given how the boards seem to emphasize it, the craziest thing I've done on my corrs is not softcap def to S/L.

Hmmmm, the craziest thing i did with my corruptor....One night we picked up an 8ball at the Giza and then went skinny dipping in St. Martial.

I soloed multiple AVs simultaneously with my Corruptor (without using any temp powers), it was pretty crazy.

Well, personally I consider my witch (pain/fire) perfectly sane, but I did get some interesting reactions when I asked for pointers here on the forum. I've broken with the main view that focusing on your primary is the first priority; I see myself as support first and foremost, and wanted some aoe as a kicker. I'm up to 32 now, and still see myself as primary support, but now I also got loads of fire skills with 4 slots each. Never had so much fun on a "healer" in my life. I happily took care of a team on +4x8 diff, and still had time to provide enough fire support that I cackled insanely.

I rolled DP/TA just so I could have redraw. I plan on rolling a TA/DP defender just to see how the two compare.

I did an ITF with 3 Sonic/Rad Corruptors and 5 Rad/Son Defenders and we destroyed everything. At the end I was able to use Shout for over 1200 and it scourged for a total of 2400. It was one of the best ITF I did.

Corruptors are the best AT IMO! They bring the damage of a blaster with the buff/debuff of a troller. We did an all corr +4 ITF with 3 kins and 3 rads, we ripped through everything, even killing the nictus before they could rez romi.

Ive used my elec/kin corr to off-tank stike/taskforces. Let the real tank handle the mobs while I hold the AV or vice versa...depending on the mobs

most of the team was crapping their pants when I charged the Riders during lgtf's...id just giggle and tell them to keep up or shut up

My DP/Traps rushes into melee against full spawns ahead of the group. She isn't built properly and tends to die a lot, but it's awesome fun, and when it works three or four spawns in a row, it really pisses off the brute and makes him/her start moving faster as we race to see who can take the alpha first. Sometimes turning a slow team into a two-person steamroll.

I LOVE the combo of corruptor plus melee.

I was running my Dark/Dark Corruptor with a PUG once. (This is rare in and of itself, I usually solo) This was prior to my getting Howling Twilight, so I could not rez yet. But I was basically sticking close to the tank (a Brute, doing very well) keeping him healed and anchoring on targets near him, but not his chosen punching bag. It was all going so well I wasn't even bothering to turn on Shadow Fall, and I was only occasionally dropping Tar Patch, when I knew the foes were all bunched up and going to be there for a while.

Anyway, we were coming around a corner and the Brute charged a group in front of him. Unfortunately, there was another couple of spawns around the corner, and while they were far enough away that they wouldn't have aggroed, I think some of my teammates blundered into them as they were trying to run around the corner away from the main spawn. Suddenly we had one or two spawns worth of adds on top of us, and this was for an eight man team.

The Brute tried his best, but the rest of the team was panicing, and quite a few of them were taking damage. Many of them just ran. The Brute fell, and the rest of the spawn started after the rest of us. Well, I ran to the corner, dropped a Tar Patch, hit the center of the spawn with Darkest Night, and then fired off a Night Fall right into the midst of them. Then I ran around the corner of the building, and hit Tentacles as they started into the patch. A few minutes later, I had herded most of them into the Tar patch, and was melting them with repeated applications of Tentacles and Night Fall.

By the time the Brute managed to rez himself, I had taken out most of them, and he helped chase down the ones that had gotten away from me and were after the rest of the team. Then he came back and finished off what was still standing in the Tar Patch.

All he said was "that was awesome" and then we kept right on going.
