Quote:On the other hand when you look at zones like talos that have trams, ferries, portals, smuggler ships AND a entrance to pocket d its not unreasonable to ask for a simple tram in FF.Fastest way, if you don't get it earlier:
Level 30+. Science store, Brickstown. One fast mission killing Rikti.
As far as the OP:
Thematically, it IS still undergoing reconstruction and potentially isn't stable - I could see not wanting to move a train stop there.
Convenience-wise, it's not like Founders Falls (which was a bit of a haul from Talos before it had a train stop.) It's REALLY close to the south train, *plus* has an entrance from Pocket D. -
PB's are jack of all trades that do nothing exceptional but can cover a wide variety of bases decently. They were flawed before the buff and still have issues.
Do they suck? Not really. They can be quite good slotted up (especially with the new kb-kd proc).
Are they the tank mages of CoX in the right hands... hell no.
Out of the powersets I've gotten to 50, my least favorite is energy melee. God awful animation times and pathetic AoE with a power that damages YOU when used. My main turned into a dust collector overnight when EM was nerfed into obscurity. -
Is showing this against forum rules?

I was flipping through my old screenshots and I came across this one:
The poor guys in the brown and blue were part of a SG that was tormented on a daily basis for having a Power Ranger type theme on freedom. They were around for quite awhile. I can't quite put my finger on their name though. It was radical something. Maybe Radical Rangers? Anyone remember this SG and the name? -
Why aren't they taking my cash for this again?
Oh, twitter... right.
Looks like I won't be getting this aura. Facebook was bad enough, but that was only a silly emote. Twitter is just too much for a aura. I even hate saying that word.
Next time think this through. Let the people that are willing to jump through the twitter hoop do so and get it for free, but tell us it will be available immediately after the promotion for a fee. You'll avoid a lot of rage and still have the promo time. -
Quote:Saw a guy named Golden Showers complete with a yellow colored waterfall backpack. I was wondering if that was enough to get gen'd.spotted my favorite lowbrow entry so far hanging around Atlas last night:
R. Kelly.
I snagged Wet Ice on freedom. Water/ice blaster. -
They are bugged and stay at the level of the character that got it.

Quote:I'm old enough to remember the rapturous, maniacal reception for Return of the Jedi, which stood tall as the worst of the trilogy.
So yeah, nerdgasms over highly anticipated nerdbait mean nothing.
You know, as someone that plays a super hero MMO and is well know forum member with close to 20k posts, I'll take your word on anything nerdish. -
None of them are event/convention "exclusives". They are all available during the Halloween event. And correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the coralax available for sale in the past?
-
Agreed. In fact just unlock all claw/gun options for SoA. Some of these silly story based restrictions are getting in the way of, you know, fun...

I'm a huge fan of old school kung fu flicks and even own the original Iron Fists movie, but this one looks a bit on the corny side. And the Rza shouldn't act... at all. Having a dude that sounds like hes from a NY project in feudal china just doesn't seem... right to me.

I love my huntsman. Best toon I ever rolled. Hes the blaster I've always wanted. They have better single target damage than a crab and comparable aoe with less survivability. Widows are fun, but I love the lawnmower that is my huntsman. I mean how can you not love a build with 3 great aoe attacks, pets, solid single target damage, the ability to have 3 -resist powers and the survivability of a scrapper.
-
Well, what I did was buy 2 ultimate insps and filled the rest of my tray with reds. I popped one ultimate along with half of the reds for the ninjas and then ate the rest for the monkeys.
Badge acquired! -
Its equally sexy on my huntsmans frag grenade.

Quote:I have to agree. I don't want to sound like I'm ungrateful because I love free stuff, but waiting was a bummer.this is a bit concerning. It took me nearly 2 months to get my codes from taking 2nd place in March. Now I am watching as these people are waiting for their codes and I have to say, this is NOT right. Perhaps the emails should be sent out DURING the contest, say right after you announce the winners publicly you get the email info and send the winner what is due. Waiting this long is just not fair. After taking the time to create the toon and look specific to these contests, sometime even moving toons from server to server, we should not be left to wonder.
Why don't they give them out, you know, during the costume contest? Get the codes ready before the contest and hand them out after the winners are selected directly via tell. -
I'm pretty sure it has a minimal graphic setting that removes the tumors.
-
With the survivability of SoA, who cars about the 40ft difference. Get in there and kill stuff while the baddies pray one of their hits land. Oh yeah, and mez protection...
-
Well, that sure is a weird way to deal with snipes...
As long as it keeps the stealth portion of the power all is good.
Bout time. -
I'd like to add my huntsman Gristle to the mix.
He is pretty much all S/L damage but I have both barrier and rebirth, leadership, reactive core, 3 -res attacks (shatter armor, venom grenade, surveillance + achillies proc) and the stock to craft a 3rd tier lore with psi damage and the needed insp.
UPDATE:
Crafted a tier 3 seer lore so its: Gristle Huntsman Maneuvers x2/Tactics/Assault/T4 Rebirth/T4 Arachnos 2x Achilles with T3 Seers available -

A new costume contest is great and all, but I'm still waiting on my winnings from the last one...

Quote:I checked both folders and nada. I sent you a PM with the requested info. The gametime codes were sent to your email as of last week. If you were one of the top three, you should have already received both (we don't apply the code ourselves, we send it to you).
Please check your spam filters, also, you may want to PM me the email address you provided and what character you were on so we can check it against our records. -
I'd love to see new PvP ideas come to life in game, but...
Quote:We all know that PVP is not a priority for the development team. I've never blown smoke regarding that fact and will always be very up front with it. There's a multitude of reasons, but if I have to point at two:- Once we start opening the Pandora's Box of PVP we cannot close it. PVP is a constant battle requiring constant tuning, power balancing, nerfing, buffing, etc, etc...To be honest, that's not our focus. We have limited numbers of Systems Designers and their primary focus is on creating new Powersets, proliferation and revisiting older Powersets (when there is time.)
- PVP activity is not a priority for the vast majority of our Community. Yes, I agree that the argument could be made that it's a symptom of the cause rather than the cause itself, however it is what it is. For better or worse, City of Heroes is a PVE centric game where (many, *not* all) players would rather the challenge of designing an amazing costume than duking it out in the arena.
