Faultline: it's been six years....

...since they started rebuilding New Overbrook in Issue 8.

New apartments, new shopping center, new donut shop -- so how hard would it be to extend the mass transit system to put in a train station?

Right now they're still sort of landlocked, and the "best way" to get in and out of there is to take the south Skyway train stop and walk (or fly, run, leap or teleport). I'm sure the residents and the retailers would appreciate being connected to the rest of Paragon.

Just a thought/suggestion/idea.

The devs abandoned any new updates for FL when the players stopped going there for early SO's etc...

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Speaking only for myself, I take all of my characters through Faultline simply because Doc Delilah's arc seems to be the earliest opportunity to become "Entrusted with the Secret" for Ourobouros access (aside from asking somebody else to drop a portal for me). At the very least, getting it via Delilah's arc is quicker than through, say, Ashwin Lannister's arc in IP. I had to do his arc on one character I neglected to take through Faultline, and ugh, what a pain just to get that Ourobouros portal.

I just ask someone who has the portal to open one for me, step through, get the badge at the top of the spire, and BAM... instant portal.

Fastest way, if you don't get it earlier:
Level 30+. Science store, Brickstown. One fast mission killing Rikti.

As far as the OP:

Thematically, it IS still undergoing reconstruction and potentially isn't stable - I could see not wanting to move a train stop there.

Convenience-wise, it's not like Founders Falls (which was a bit of a haul from Talos before it had a train stop.) It's REALLY close to the south train, *plus* has an entrance from Pocket D.

I think it's more like the zone has been revamped once already and there are others that could use a swab of the update brush before revisiting a zone that's fairly functional and enjoyable as it is. Could it be better? Certainly, that goes for about any zone. Faultline as it is though isn't bad and much better off than say Boomtown.

^This. Revamp Boomtown or Crey's Folly before revamping Faultline again.

These are all good points -- thanks for the comments!

For we superpowered types, sure, but do the mythical "average residents of Paragon" like cutting through there?

That makes two of us! (I'd guessed Issue 10 before I looked it up, but that's been a while too!)

They've already built a bunch of other buildings along the north side of the zone but I'm sure they wouldn't want to tear one of those down for a train station.

Maybe there's a station hypothetically planned for somewhere closer to the middle of the zone, since most other zones only have one centrally located station? Still, it's been six years -- maybe they should make some sort of announcement that "the rebuilding of New Overbrook has hit some significant delays" or something.

Very true, but I wasn't suggesting a total revamp of the zone, either -- sorry if it came off that way.

They didn't revamp Skyway when they "built" the new southern train station a couple of years ago -- they just plopped it down and said "surprise!"

But these are all good points -- in the absence of a train station or (easily accessible) roads because of the SWAT checkpoint at the Skyway gate, I suppose the people that live and work there can just pretend that they're on "Mackinac Island East" or something. "We're not 'hard to get to,' we're 'exclusive.'"

On the other hand when you look at zones like talos that have trams, ferries, portals, smuggler ships AND a entrance to pocket d its not unreasonable to ask for a simple tram in FF.

Adding a tram isn't simple.

A tram requires clearing a space in the zone for the train building.

Then adding the train station in it's place.

Then designing and placing the rail system the train will move along going into and out of the zone.

Adding tunnel entrance/exits in the war wall

Coding the movement of the train along the path of the rails.

Then coding the spawn points where players will enter and exit the train.

That's also not considering the additional work that would have to be added in Skyway City so the train actually looks like it's part of the rail system. Or hadn't you noticed that when the train goes into a war wall in one zone that is net to another there's a corresponding tunnel an rail system on the other side.

Well everything in this suggestion forum would take some work, no?

How about instead of a tram, Submariner Janus takes you there?
